Loved it but now miss it
So, I understand that it requires higher Apple iOS / iPhones now but, why couldn’t you continue keeping for the older versions? I have a iPhone 10 someone gifted me, I knew at some point it’ll get more older over the years but I just saw You Google actually had your google car visit my home and I just got excited now. But finding out Google Earth no longer works on my iPhone sucks. I’m not rich enough yet too buy a new iPhone and I don’t use Windows anymore because they’re messing up and I’m afraid of accidentally getting my computer messed up by viruses. Please update for iPhone 10 users! At least for now? Because thank you google for somehow actually years later coming by to my home taking a 3D picture! You finally answered my wish. I remember exactly maybe the same year I went to google when I could contact y’all to get a 3D picture of my place! Thank you, thank you! 🥹

Constantly Blurry
I used to love exploring Google Earth but in the last year or so it’s become unusable because it’s always blurry if you try to zoom in at ALL. Deleting and reinstalling the app used to solve this issue for at least several months, but now each fresh install only gives you maybe one clear zoom-in and then it’s blurry and unusable again. Complete trash. Please fix this!!

Satellite imagery is no longer available. Historical imagery was added about a year a go, which was great, but now it's gone. Most of the available overlays are pretty obscure and not terribly useful.

What happen
I like to look around the world see where things were happening. Friends in the military see where they are. Haven’t used in a while I opened it today. Could not even get the earth to show up. So this app went from usable to worthless. Every company on line QUIT CHANGING FOR CHANGE. Computer programmers must never heard of ain’t broke don’t go messing or adding junk. More bells and whistles make it harder to use not better. So much more to say but who got this far.

I absolutely love google earth. BUT YOU HAVE ABUSED MY PRIVACY & MY DATA for far too long! Nope. Gone from my life as I degoogle my devices, family, and life. Since I live in The US who is only interested in big corporations and using our data against us, I consider google to be one of the demons that feeds that monster. No more.
Paywalled to death
I understand monetization, but Google has hidden all the features that made Google Earth interesting behind a paywall. It’s just not worth it for former casual users like myself. I understand the need for monetization, but hiding street names? The usability gap between what it now is and what it used to be is enormous. For those of you who are considering downloading it based on its former reputation and cache, prepare to be disappointed.

Useless on latest iPadOS 26 versions
Memory management is completely broken. So blurry and inconsistent with textures that I just go to the browser on my MacBook to use earth. Mind you, it’s so bad on safari that I have to use Chrome to turn rendering up. This is on M2 IPad Pro with 1tb, so it has 16gb of memory. No reason for this.

this was easier to use when i saw 5. they’re made it 100x more difficult. i should be able to copy paste address and it brings me too it. but no it zooms out to the city and that’s it. fix the glitches.

It used to be an amazing app, but every update they hide something behind a paywall. Ridiculous. Also they called it the Gulf of America just because idiot Trump said so.

Glitchy, oversimplified UI which makes navigation and using tools complex. Basic UX design is ignored, features are hidden except when they are advertised and shoved in your face. Horrible offline options, blurry images even after zooming in and out and setting graphics quality to high.
Blur Issues
The app becomes unusable from blur after just a minute or two of use. Clearing cache doesn’t help. You have to force the app to close and reopen it to buy yourself another minute of clear imagery

They should update every month not 2 years.
Out Dated Photo
Typed in my parents old address and it showed me a satellite pic from more than 10 years ago. The house was a different color back then and it showed a cherry tree in the neighbors yard that has been cut down years ago. You’re looking at old satellite imagery in this app.

Prior versions imagery was clear. Now my imagery on my iPad is blurred. I wish there was some competition apps.
Old version better for ipads
Using ipad, new version removes the ability to zoom in on photos of restaurants, hotels, airports, etc. It also shows all (usually 20) photos first, then when you select the first one to view as slide show, there is a white bar at both top and bottom of screen, making the image space smaller. The previous version also included the English name of a place, so if the label was in Arabic, you got both, the English and the Arabic, now you only get the Arabic. Again, losing the ability to pinch to zoom in and out in the "place pics" is huge. This update is terrible for ipad users.
