Series issues
Although I have reached out many times to Hallmark support over the last couple of years, I still seem to have the same issue with watching the Signed Sealed Delivered series. Although I watch through the end of the movie/episode, the next time I go to watch the entire series from the 1st movie to the of the last movie, when I get to different episodes/movies it starts at the end and goes on to the next one or two episodes/movies later. It is not starting at the beginning. This is very frustrating to me because the main reason I purchased this streaming service is to watch this series. I have this issue whether I am on my phone, iPad, or any of my smart TV’s or fire stick. Please, please, PLEASE get this issue resolved.

Downloads Suck
This app allows downloading but it does not work offline. I downloaded a bunch of shows then went on a plane in airplane mode but the app will not open at all. Also, the app downloaded the wrong episodes in the wrong manner. It labeled them all correctly but then when you went to play them it would just loop back to the same shows over and over.

Horrendous experience
What a sham. This app stopped working on LG TV C9. When escalated they basically didn’t care. Watching on Apple TV 4K, it takes over a minute to load. When you stream movies they constantly buffer. I have over 1gbps of internet speed so it’s not my connection since it’s the same experience on a tcl tv. They charge so much for this app yet do no development on it. Horrible.

App Drops Constantly
One of the worst apps to watch. Shows and movies will just stop for no reason and go back to the main screen, then error out “oops.” Series will not move to the next episode but will error out. Every error ends with an “Oops” screen that usually locks up as well. Truly a horrible app.

Revert

Hallmark+ Update = Fail
Until now my biggest complaints about this service was the app itself: it’s still the worst app on Apple TV and hasn’t improved. I’ve actually bought a Roku stick just to watch Hallmark+ because this app is so bad. But now, they’ve decided they need to add ads at the beginning of any movie/episode you play. It’s insulting and ridiculous. Why advertise Hallmark+ to someone who’s watching it? I knew it was just a matter of time as the new Live streaming has been doing it for a while. Talk about preaching to the choir! I’m paying to be annoyed. This may be the last straw.

Not Ad Free!!
I've had the app now for about six months and I've not come across any advertisements now today popped an ad advertisement for Hallmark cards if this keeps up they're going to lose me for sure. They advertise this initially as free and now they're in not worth it at all if it's going to have ads not to me! Talking to others I am not the only one that feels this way hall Mark better watch it or they're gonna lose a lot of revenue quickly

Hallmark+ app
I signed up for the 7 day free trial and decided to start a subscription. Downloaded the app on my Apple TV and it has been horrible ever since. It constantly freezes, picture quality is terrible also stops working right in the middle of a movie. No tech support. The website says to log out then log back in or to reload the app. Will probably cancel the subscription after this month.

AWFUL customer service!
The account cannot be managed through the account. So I called customer service to cancel membership and the lady Jasmine was EXTREMELY RUDE! I was very polite but I guess she didn’t like that I wanted to cancel. I do usually like hallmark especially during Christmas season but she was so rude I may not get it again EVER! There are lots of great Christmas movies on other streaming services now!!

Quite an undeniable feedback theme in these reviews about the app’s shortcomings. Time to hire some fresh thinking developers, maybe those with experience at quality, user-friendly streaming platforms that actually work (unfortunately quite opposite to this app). Hallmark content deserves so much better.

Do better
Honestly if the phone app could suck anymore it would probably create its en singularity.
It’s great that you can stream hallmark. It’s disappointing how bad the apps are. The iPhone app constantly thinks you’re outside the US and the Apple TV app recently has to restart regularly.
Why aren’t you using Apple’s media player? It’s far superior to whatever 3rd party system you are using. There is zero unity with how other apps work. The icons are all different and how the app works is far less responsive to user interaction. It sucks, and we’re paying for it. The need to login repeatedly because I’m told I’m outside of the viewer area for the service when I am in the middle of the United States is almost a joke at this point. It’s time to fire the team that does this service for you and hire one that knows what that are doing.

Missing the “mark”
I’m 50 years old and probably right in your target demographic. But I didn’t get this app for me. I got it for my mother for a birthday. In my whole life, I don’t think I’ve ever bought a gift that has caused more frustration and aggravation. The app is so very difficult to use. Here are 7 specific reasons why. 1, login is different than the app for the store. Confusing. 2, app logs itself out an almost daily basis. Hard for an older person to figure out. 3, the carousel on the home page moves way too fast, and there’s no way to make it stop. 4, app tends to overemphasize images, with giant splash screens that hide the actual content below the proverbial fold, without a visual indicator that there is additional content out of sight. 5, teeny tiny controls during playback. Want to minimize what you’re watching because you realize you’ve already seen it? Good luck hitting that tiny arrows pointing inward control. Target size on that must be about 20 pixels square, even on this iPad Pro. 6, why does the app open multiple instances on the iPad?! Never seen another app do that, EVER. Very confusing and wasteful of system RAM. And 7, lately, the app repeatedly tells us that it can’t be used outside the country. What?! We haven’t been out of the country in 30 years, and no, we don’t live in a border state, either.
So thank you for failing one more time today, before the renewal happens. We are canceling our subscription. I am completely certain I can find a better gift than the headache this subscription has been for the past 50 weeks.

This app needs help
This review is about the app itself. Hallmark plus app needs some serious work at least on the Apple TV. This app glitches way too much and I need to force close it, which signs me out for some reason. I have to sign in every day with password and email. Also, there’s a weird glitch that claims that my device is outside of the US which I am in the US. Hallmark seriously needs to give this app a bug fix update ASAP.

Horrible App
Love Hallmark movies and shows so I got the app through prime and it worked great but I recently got rid of prime so I tried the app. Its the worst app ever. After using it for a day it started freezing up so I couldn’t watch anything. The next day it signed me out. Tried to log in but it wouldn’t let me so tried forgot my password and it said it sent an email but never got it. Tried every log in I would use and nothing works. Thankfully it was a free trial so I didn’t waste any money. If the app ever gets better I’ll get a subscription. Till then cya hallmark.

Worst streaming app on AppleTV
Even when it is working it is by far the slowest and least responsive streaming app we have (and we have them all). It often freezes on startup when every other app works fine, and requires a restart of the AppleTV to work. More recently, it is often refusing to start with a message that the app only works in North America (the device is installed in Texas and has never moved. I then have to delete the app, download it from the App Store and put in the user and password to get it to work again. Absolute rubbish.

The Hallmark+ app constantly kicks me out. I keep getting error messages saying content is “not available in your country” even though I haven’t left the area or traveled to another country.
I like to download movies for travel, but it’s always a problem. When I’m on a plane, the app logs me out, and since you can’t sign back in mid-flight, I can never watch my downloaded movies. I’m flying within the U.S., from one state to another - not internationally - yet this happens every time.
I don’t understand why the app is so unreliable, but it completely defeats the purpose of downloading movies for travel.
Contacted customer service to no avail.

Unbelievable…free apps work better
I am so utterly mind blown right now!!! I have been using the Hallmark+ app for over a year now and the glitches were minimal in the beginning. I could reset Google Home and restart the app, I am streaming the app to my chromecast. Which yes I know is pretty old school BUT…I have ZERO issues with any of the other 7 or 8 apps I use. Including two free ones, Tubi and Pluto. It is truly sad and a complete rip off that Hallmark charges for this useless app. The only thing I like is the content but since I cannot enjoy that, it’s pointless. You need to fire every single person that has bully or developed this app because it does not work. Hallmark should also be ashamed at how long these same freezing, logging out, video slipping issues have been going on!! It’s probably much longer but I’m seeing the same complaints up to 3 YEARS AGO!?!?!? WHAT THE ACTUAL F:)$????? I’m so angry I’ve been paying for this over the last few months but I just tried to hold out for the next update. It’s just not coming together, scrap it and start over PLEASE!!!

When I open the app, search for a particular movie and then select it nothing happens. It looks like it’s going to play but never does. My workaround is to offload the app, reload it and try again. At that point i start over and then it will play

Leaves much to be desired
Got this app during a Black Friday sale in 2025 - while it’s a fantastic thought for watching commercial-less Hallmark movies/shows, it still needs much improvement. I have to sign back in once a week on the phone app. When I’m watching it on my phone, the rewind and fest forward arrows are awful and need recalibrated majorly. I get so annoyed when I can’t rewind or fast forward that I just shut the app and move onto something else. I work from home and typically have this app on while I’m working, so it’s very frustrating day in and day out. Also, more times than not, when I search in the search field for a movie or show on this app, nothing comes up even if I type it Word for Word. Very frustrating. I mean it’s 2025, why doesn’t the search field work most of the time lol? Paying money for an app that is this subpar drives me crazy. Also something you guys could add, when I opened up the app and want to start over a movie that I am halfway into already, there’s no restart button and, I cannot grab the cursor and rewind it all the way back to the beginning, it just close the app! It’s amazing. Please fix these issues 🙏🏼
