cute but boring
cute but very boring and very repetitive. merging dragons make no visual or production difference making it feel absolutely pointless and given you can have 2 dragons make 2 coins or have a merged dragon that only make 1 coin.
which brings me to my next point, it's soooo boring and repetitive. nothing stimulating and so slow. after 4 unlocks your unlock cost skyrockets from 12 coins to 50 coins like why??? how?? that makes no sense. and you only have space for 5 dragons so you are making 5 coins every minute or so. imagine doing nothing but check on the game every 60 seconds for 5 clicks.
i bought the fruitkeeper pack but it adds nothing to the game... it doesnt automatically harvest or grow fruits.... overall, a good concept that's underdeveloped and poorly executed.
theres more effort put in the shop than the game and theres nothing worth paying for in the shop either.
I deleted it right after because I know theres nothing that makes me want to open this game ever again after the first 10 minutes of boring gameplay

Lost its potential (very disappointed)
I think the game has so much potential but it kinda failed. The rewards suck, the upgrades/ level up kinda sucks too. Only upgrade that doesn’t suck ate the bushes. But the more u level up your dragons the more time it takes to earn more. They should make it so the money is accumulated instead to like a max storage depending on level. The rewards for finishing goals makes no sense like u have to spend over 100 crystal to finish one guest yet that one quest gives u like 2 crystals. The decoration buff sucks like wdym the it summons that owl thing every 4 hours even though that thing spawns like every min, makes absolutely no sense the decor are useless. Friend function useless doesn’t go that far other than just adding each other and sending gifts that barely gives anything. But u can’t visit each other bases or anything. I like the quest function but wished it gave just a little bit more since not only do we need to pay crystals for specific ones but also time but i don’t really have much complaints bout this one. Honestly my huge complaint is abt the dragon level system the whole thing is broken and horrible. I want to be able to do more too like after the first 1 or 2 hours of starting the game just know theres barely anything else to do. I also do wish there were different sizes of the dragons bc them all being the same size honestly makes the design not too different from each other(i haven’t gotten any of the more special ones though so maybe those r different). Honestly just very disappointed i saw the great reviews and was excited but been faced with disappointment.
The mtx just ruin it
Ive played a lot of games with micro transactions, but this game is just insanely expensive for what you get. They are extremely stingy with gems for f2p players, fine, whatever, typical. Every stupid menu has a gem skip button there and when navigating its too easy to accidentally push it. And there’s no confirmation, so you can accidentally, like me, lose 3 months worth of currency with a single misclick. For a reskin of every other game theyve made they sure price it like its something special.
What were you guys thinking?
The fishing events schematics are ridiculous. Trying to catch the fish seems impossible at some points and don’t even get me started on points and the point to fish ratio. The leveling to even get one reward is out of this world. I haven’t even been able to complete one of the events without having to be on the game 24/7. Plus the fish are so hard to catch. The ads don’t help and neither do the golden hooks. The coin to unlocking new places is out of wack as well. I just started the game and I feel like I’m spending all my coins on 1 out of 5 times I have to pay just to unlock an area. The dragons don’t give enough coins either. I understand it’s a cute game and the hype was immaculate. Please fix your game so I can actually enjoy playing it.
Playing Guest the Entire Time!!!
The entire game I was playing the game I didn’t realize I was playing in “guest mode”. The game should have directly made me create an account before proceeding. Now I’m unable to play the game on my iPad. Even though I know my ID in the game it’s useless as I’m unable to sign in to the account I’m already spent hours and money on. There’s no way of saving my game at the current moment. Only option is to delete my account and then it gives you an option to create an account. Glad I’ve already spend $5 initially but the hours of gaming lost because of this misguided direction.
Would’ve been amazing if not for the events
The game is not necessarily my style gameplay-wise (there really is almost nothing to do) but, as a dragon enthusiast, I love the theming of the game which kept me going for a lot longer.
Now for the reason of the 2* rating…even with the less appealing aspects that I mentioned, those are trumped by the egregiousness of this game’s events. The entire point of the game is collection, and unless you either want to fork out $10 4 times a month to complete events, or log into the game every 90 minutes on the dot to watch ads to skip some of the event cooldown, you will not be able to complete the event to collect all of the rewards.
I’ve regularly seen members of the community even say that they have alarms set through the night to check every 90 minutes. Encouraging this kind of behavior is exactly the opposite to what the motif of Runaway’s games are-aspiring others to appreciate and live in the natural world. Sorry but the flawed event system encourages some of the most unnatural behavior I’ve seen a game create.
Anyway, mini-rant over. I’m sure it’s by design because the devs need to make their buck too, but it’s a real shame it has to come at the cost of respecting the players’ time and abusing the feelings of FOMO. And from my understanding, all of Runaway’s games are like this, so just stay away unless you want a super cute game like this to turn into a second job any time there is an ongoing event (which is like 80% of the time)

This game makes you feel very anxious and busy.
It’s just too busy. All I want to do is collect the max-level event dragons, but that requires logging into the game every two hours to fish and redeem rewards. I’m looking for a casual experience, but with this game’s casual gameplay, you simply can’t get the dragons you want.
SHAME ON YOU, RUNAWAY
Stay away from this game and all games from this developer named Runaway. I would give negative stars if I could.
This is definitely NOT a cozy game. The event requires you to log in every 2 hours, and there is a great chance you don’t get any progress from it. If you don’t do that? You don’t get the time limited rewards! What a brilliant idea!
And you can easily lost everything you’ve work hard for! A lot of players (including me) suddenly can’t log in, and support is basically nonexistent. We’ve all sent tickets, and most of us haven’t heard back at all.
The one response some of us did get? They were told changing system time “corrupts” the game, and support refused to recover the account-even with proof of purchases. The only solution they gave was “start a new game,” which means losing everything you paid for and all your progress.
So yeah-if something goes wrong, you’re on your own and your money is just gone.
Save yourself the frustration and just don’t play anything from this developer.

Bug
After I hit level 4500, I can only summon from the common pool. Its been weeks without seeing a random uncommon, rare, epic etc dragon. Idk if they changed it so that you can only pull common dragons, but i was pulling uncommons and epics before. Not sure whats up but the game is kind of beat so far.
Overcharges
I just bought 130 gems (listed as $4.99) and it charged me $16.03. I think this is the second time this has happened to me with the Runaway games.
slot machine with pretty art
before i say any of this i really tried to like this game. i enjoy the concept, i enjoy the art, and i enjoy the atmosphere, but this game has absolutely no skill involved and it really hurts my ability to see this game in a good light. you click summon and it summons a random dragon. you click a fish and it has a random chance of catching. every now and then you get enough summon items (or gold hooks) to get a dragon (or fish) you actually want, but 90% of the time youre just rolling the dice and hoping it’s something good (it rarely is) and regardless of whether or not you want it you still have to wait 1 or more hours before you can do anything interesting again. the entirety of this games gameplay is built off of random number generators and multi hour timers. theres is no skill involved. it’s just gambling and waiting. very little standing between this game and online slot machines. the only 2 difference i can think of is the graphics are prettier in this game and slot machine don’t make you wait hours between pulls. also the ONLY reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is the art so make sure to give your graphics team a raise
