Cheapskates
HBO Max recently has been giving ads at the beginning of shows, not to mention they’ve been restricting people from sharing their accounts. I’m not sure why big corporations feel the need to be so stingy as if they aren’t already making billions of dollars a month from their streaming services. I’m already paying for their services and I’ve already bought the subscription for the month, I should be able to do what I want with MY purchase. I’m so over mainstream streaming services and at this point I would rather go back to using DVD’s.
Pharmaceutical Commercials need to Go!
I’m seriously considering unsubscribing to HBOmax due to the constant pharmaceutical marketing ads. The same RO (GLP-1) commercial to be exact. What a joke! Pick another avenue to get more money.

Downloads don’t work
It won’t let me play a downloaded title offline. If the download is already playing when offline it works, but if I try to start the download while offline it won’t play because there is no internet connection. Of course that defeats the whole purpose of downloading a title.
Worst app I’ve ever used
Even though I’m online and actively watching shows on the app. This has happened since the very first day that I’ve gotten the app and this unfortunately does not allow me to download shows for online viewing because it thinks I’m off-line - weird. I expect this out of like those cheap anime apps not $1 billion company that charges almost 2 or three times more than the competition for subpar content.

Per movie has soo many ads and feels like your watching ads the entire time instead of watching the actual movie

Quit suggesting garbage
If I have this app suggest bill maher one more time; I’m deleting it. I do not want that clown in my suggestions and it’s egregious the willful disregard HBO is showing by continually suggesting him. His show should be cancelled but clearly he’s blowing someone who makes decisions. This app has nothing to offer other than the same recycled garbage political commentators on top of washed movies.
Lies about ads
The app straight up lies about how many ads it shows. It may say at the top left “1 ad” but it will show you 3. Ridiculous

Same ad over and over
They sure are obsessed with their little “new Targarian approaches” ad for the obnoxious and annoying dragon something something with British accents show. They show twice or even 3 xs every. single. ad Break. I promise I won’t be watching that because of how much you made me hate it with excessive annoying af ads.
What Happened To No Ads
I pay a subscription service and my whole the deal was that you paid for a subscription service so you don’t have to deal with ads. Suddenly all of these media companies have decided to bombard is with ads when watching their content we pay. So they make money from the advertisers and us. I always have a choice I guess I can just cancel my subscription. I thought I would just bring it up how we get less and less for our money.
