Latest version is broken
Closed caption when casting is not working after the 7.0 HBO app update. Tech support told me to make a new profile every time I watch a show to get around this mess. Awful app

Paying for ads is the best!
The best part about HBO is that you pay to enjoy for ad-infused content! Not only do I get to pay for access to HBO’s library, but I also pay to enjoy some stupid ad every 20 minutes! It’s the best! Brilliant business model!

Glitching constantly
I’ve been trying to watch The Wire on HBO Max and it will not stop glitching.
The internet works and all the other shows I watch on this app is fine but the glitching is CONSTANT on The Wire! Why pay for something that doesn’t work?

How much is HBO paying to suppress the negative reviews? This is the worst user experience available, and there’s no way HBO would doesn’t know that.
If my phone goes to sleep or I open another app the app disconnects, I wait minutes between opening the app and having the capability to pause (or take any other action), shows start over from the previous episode, the volume has to be adjusted every time I open the app, and most recently, I can’t turn off the closed captioning. WTAF

Careful when you sign up
Make sure when you sign up you’re signing up for exactly what you want the first time. Impossible to change later and when you reach out to support their solution is “we’ll do you have another email to make a new account?” Why would I need a second email for your shortcomings let alone now having two subscriptions to the same service.

ADS!!!
So there are about 1.5 minutes of ads every 5 minutes or so for a 20 minute show you are watching almost 6 minutes of ads. Better hope you don’t have to rewind or accidentally click out of the show because it resets the commercials even if you already watched half the show. You can’t fast forward past the commercials, even if you watched them the first time through! What is the point of streaming apps anymore??? It’s like they went right back to cable mode and think we all forgot what that was like- isn’t that why Netflix’s business model was such a success, because they didn’t make you pay and watch ads? Greedy corporations getting money every which way they can while giving the customer the worst experience possible. Money from Spectrum, money from ads, and money from the direct customer. One of the worst streaming apps!!

how am i supposed to watch the post-credit preview for next week's episode and BTS content when the app prompts me to watch something else before the credits roll? then, i click back into the show i was watching and it does it again. it's infuriating. can i be allowed to watch all of the program? is that too much to ask? also, trying to scrub videos is always a trial.

Bugs… sorry
Hey guys… I’m sorry. I love my phone and not going to lie, I only am ever able to watch my show on it because work and life. Bugs on the app are bothering me and I just got hbo back… when you turn off your screen you’re unable to keep listening to your show. When you’ve been watching for a few episodes (because let’s be for real we do) or you accidentally turn off your phone and immediately back on, it’s the rewind and fast forward button do not appear. I don’t know… I’m just saying. It’s fine if I’m not able

La aplicación tiene buen contenido, lastimosamente ninguno de sus títulos cuenta con el audio descriptivo para latinoamérica. por lo que disfrutar de ese contenido es muy difícil o imposible para personas con discapacidad visual, que dependen o necesitan el audio descriptivo para disfrutar del contenido visual y que no manejan ningún otro idioma, además del español, como es mi caso. espero que tomen en cuenta las reseñas y pronto puedan incluir el audio descriptivo para el español latinoamérica, en todo su futuro contenido.
