This app is absolute trash. The developers have clearly stopped trying, and it’s become a pay to play. There’s men all over this app, as well as scammers and bots. Only verified accounts are somewhat trustworthy, but those are few and far in between.
Horrible
First time I used this it was the least user friendly dating app possible. Recently redownloaded and my account got placed on temporary hold the instant I created a profile and three weeks later I’m still on “temporary” hold. Does it think I’m a bot or something. Spoiler alert, I’m not a bot!

This app has gotten worse and worse over the years, in the past I was able to see friend requests and matches now I can’t. Why is there a subscription to look at people who matched with you or even get a request? Make it make sense. People come here to connect with others but it’s limited because of these stupid subscriptions. At this point it’s all about money there’s nothing genuine about this app. And another thing is that there are more Cis men/ Trans women/ Trans men on this app now than biological women, and not to mention the numerous fake accounts that are also verified. Management hasn’t done nothing to change the environment and culture on the app. It’s called HER not HIM or TRANS. Don’t call the app HER if you’re going to include the entire gay community. Everyone shouldn’t be included in lesbian women spaces, lesbians women deserve to have a place to connect with other lesbian women without feeling uncomfortable, and skeptical about who is on the other side of that profile.

Upset customer
I’ve emailed the company 11x now with no response outside of the auto one saying they will respond as soon as possible I paid 45 dollars to have my account froze with no reason or fix. So I guess I’m just out of my hard earned money never again.

There used to be better “support” but if you’re not paying for anything on the app and someone reports you, they don’t investigate nor disclose and delete your profile no matter if you’ve been on the app for years without incident.
Also community guidelines are you can’t share your contact information or socials at all, on this app where people are trying to connect.
I put in my profile that the amount of women trying to hook up on the app that show up pregnant in their third trimester on social media is alarming and the last girl I connected with that did that may have reported me for putting that in my bio but let’s be clear she’s one of many which is why YOU HAVE TO CHECK SOCIAL MEDIA not just to verify if the person you’re conversing with is real because the app does a poor job of that, but because I’ve discovered so many liars with boyfriends, husbands, kids, pregnancies and catfish on this app it’s not even funny.

I’ve read bios that say they’re purely here for business and their profiles are still active. Because of using VPN, the account was immediately blocked upon registration. I can't even log in. Last night, I followed the prompts and waited for the unblocking, but I didn't wait. I am currently suffering from insomnia.
Cis straight males invaded yet another queer space
There needs to be some sort of regulation going in regarded the cis straight males on the app. It’s frustrating.
This App is Worthless
Most of the profiles are scams, men, or couples. They do nothing to prevent scammers. Profiles will have the same pictures or word-for-word bios. This is a data issue. A simple program could prevent it. Many of the pictures are obviously AI generated. The interface is horrible. You will be on a chat, waiting for the other person to respond. The message will not appear on the chat, but you get a notification on your phone. In order to see the next message, you have to completely exit the chat and go back in. Profiles come back up even after you have flagged them no. It is also really annoying that they show my profile as an option for users who are thousands of miles away. They are inviting scammers. Do not bother with this app.

This app is useless unless you let free users see their likes
Idk if my account is bugged or what but I don’t ever get to see more than 2 or 3 people who liked me per day. From my understanding they’ll only show you people who recently liked you. Apparently i have 1000+ hidden likes from the past I’ll never get to see unless i pay?? How does this app expect to make matches if you permanently hide likes behind a paywall? Ridiculous. Please stop making it harder than it already is to date as a lesbian, at least reverse it to how it was when you could see 5-10 of your full likes list per day
Keep getting banned for no reason

This app is trash. I have come across mostly fake profiles, even “verified” ones.
Complete Trash, not Trans friendly at all.
This app is utter lies. I’m. Trans man and I date women. There are few places for me to find my community and niche and I thought this would be one of them. I paid for a premium subscription until the end of April. This is now the 4th time I’ve been suspended (now permanently revoked) bc some random person decided to report my shirtless photo on the beach as a “nude.” I was not nude, nor have I ever sent a nude photo to anyone privately. I even asked them to check and investigate to prove my innocence. Instead, they ban me for LIFE and with a robot response not even from a human being. Not even with the decency to write a response from an actual human being, just writing me off with absolutely no proof I posted any such thing. I asked for a prorated refund for the time I PAID FOR and now have no access to. I also asked to speak with a human, specifically one in a supervising role. This app claims to be “open and accepting” and a friendly LGBTQ place, but it’s crawling with TERFS who hate trans people, and no one stops them. This app is shameful and atrocious. It’s wildly expensive and there’s little to no help or customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this app to a cockroach. What misguided marketing filled with lies. If you’re truly queer friendly (especially pro-trans) do not indulge in downloading this app and definitely don’t waste your money and time on it.
I got banned twice for nothing
I have no idea what I did to deserve a ban but I just sucked it up and made another account and then got banned on that one too. Literally zero reason from what I can tell because I was never rude to anyone and I don’t think I did anything against their TOS. I sent in multiple tickets and their support system absolutely sucks, they never respond and if they do it’s just a dumb bot that doesn’t explain anything. I would’ve been fine if they explained why I was banned but they haven’t explained why both times I’ve gotten banned. I hope this gets seen by these people because they need to respond to their customers. I was getting a bunch of likes and was about ready to pay for premium to see them but I was banned before that opportunity so I’m no longer even able to.

It logged me out of my icloud not message popped up. My photos remain on the app and need instant deletion. That contact phone number ish not gonna work for me. I had the app deleted it and then reinstalled now i cant fking use my new account. This app is buns

Too many cis men
I thought this was supposed to be an app for lesbians? I keep getting cis men taking up all of my likes. I only get to go through five likes a day and almost all of them are men. Waste of my time. I'm glad I never spent any money on this scam.
It’s awful now
I met my ex almost a year ago on here. So at some point this app may have worked but it is ALL scammers that are constantly evolving. Look very carefully and plan to meet soon and refuse to send pictures and matches will disappear. HER isnt the only app with this problem but it might be the worst. Like every app it doesnt seem to have any intentions of fixing it. The age of dating apps is overtaken by ai and bots. You’d be lucky to manage with an actual person but I promise you they will be rude and message every few days at most.
account banned after 20 hours
downloaded the app and swiped a bit, matched with 3 people, talked to two people, account banned with no explanation by the AI filters. there’s no way to contact a human for customer service. it’s been 3 days since i submitted a support request and no one has helped me, im missing out on matches because of this.

The new update is awful!
With the new update having ads every few swipes, it will forcefully take you to an entirely new webpage, but also swipe right on the person whose profile appears right before the ad pops up. I have been getting “matches” with a TON of random people I never swiped right on and am getting harassed for not responding to them in my dms. I don’t mind the ads, but I also don’t want to lead hopeful people on who I have no interest in because of the app’s programming. I am no longer using this app until it is fixed because I hate hurting people’s feelings and have to keep explaining to them that the match was a mistake.
Non functional functionality

Unacceptable
I’ve used this app for years and recently my account was put on hold. The reason was probably because I linked my Snapchat on my profile. That is very upsetting that something so small gets my whole account banned. I should be able to get contacted on my Snapchat considering premium is SUPER limiting to how you can contact people but the HER company wants you to pay their gigantic premium fee. The recent changes have me unimpressed and I will not be using this app again

My profile followed the guidelines, used my own photos, and I interacted normally on the platform. After deleting my account and later reinstalling the app to create a new one, my account was suddenly frozen.
Support told me their internal safety systems flagged something related to device, location, or network activity, but they refused to explain what actually triggered it. I politely appealed and even offered verification photos, but I was told the decision was final and that they would not respond to further messages.
I believe in HER’s mission as a safe space for queer people, which is why this experience is so disappointing. There should be a fair and transparent way to review situations when automated systems make mistakes.
I’m very active in the queer community and have many friends who also use this app, and I will absolutely be sharing my experience with them. It’s unfortunate to feel like a loyal user and supporter of the platform can be dismissed this easily.

Froze account
Froze my account right after creating my profile and wants me to send a photo of me holding a sign with my name? Way too much work for a dating app
SCAM
Moments after I paid for a subscription, the app put my account "on hold" with no explanation and I am not allowed to log in. I have broken no community guidelines and receive nothing but automatic responses to the emails I've sent to their customer support over the past three days. They've stolen my money and have no customer service. Do not use this app.
Worst app I’ve used
It seems like there are very few people on the app. I get shown the same 10-15 people. They get recycled every few days. I ended up paying for a month to see if it got better. It did not.
buggy, bans people for no reason
the app is Super buggy, i don’t get notifs at all even when they’re on and the review system just banned me without any explanation or in explicit reason why they made this decision and no helpful response from the support team when asked why or for help.
Fake Matches
I have been on and off this app a few times over the years, but I’ve never experienced this until now. I had a message from a “match” when I knew I never would have liked this person (we were totally incompatible). Unmatched them thinking maybe it was a misclick or something while swiping that I hadn’t noticed. But it happened again. Another message from another “match” that I know I didn’t swipe on. Both messages were very generic (hi, how are you and hi, nice pic). So not only does it seem like was I auto-matched with people I didn’t like, but they also seemed like bots…
Useless
Free version is pretty much not usable. Everything is hidden behind a paywall. Even basic filter options. You have a limited number of swipes and likes, and then the app becomes completely useless for 24hrs. You can’t do anything until the clock resets.
False information
In the free version, the app is supposed to let you see 5 people who have liked you per day. The app tells me I have 99+ likes yet some days I only get to see one of them, not 5 that I’m supposed to see. I haven’t been using the app long enough to see all 99+. Very deceiving.
Deceitful practices
After the most recent update the ads placed in the feed “accidentally” swipe right and force you to open them, even when you blatantly swipe left to dismiss them. Do not support a company that will engage in these kind of predatory advertising practices

Account locked for no reason??
I’m a trans man so the app was great for me to match with people in the community. My account was banned right after I purchased the platinum subscription. I’m not sure why my account is locked, I’ve never broken policies or done anything that would justify it. Very upsetting.
This company sucks
I keep getting kicked off for violating some rule without even knowing what it is. I have contacted them several times and asked for refund because I can’t get back on. The reinstatement me then block me again before I’ve even been back on. Don’t respond to my request for information as to how I supposedly have violated their guidelines (I’m not even on it) nor do they respond to my request for refund. I am a verified paying user. Maybe they’ll respond to this. 😡

Waste of time
I wouldn’t know if this app is any good or not because my account was frozen immediately after signing up, because I was using a VPN (I use a VPN on all my devices, all the time, and it’s never caused any problems for me before). In order to unfreeze my account, I’d have to email them a selfie with the date on it *and* a photo of my government ID. I wish it had recognized the VPN before I wasted my time writing a bio, uploading pics, etc. because I would have disabled it. But I’m not sending y’all a picture of my government ID, be for real please
