Very disappointed
I’m 99% sure the Epoch level only has four differences even though it claims to have five and it’s impossible to move forward without buying additional hints even though I just bought the game.

Started a download and it was taking so long that I just said screw this and deleted it.

The game looks gorgeous and is wonderfully soothing. Until you hit a snag and need a hint. Then you must pay for the privilege of getting a hint. Even after paying to unlock all the levels. Then game uses unfamiliar symbols and one wrong press uses a hint. Additionally if you’re taking a long time to find the next clue the game pushes you to use hints (when it knows the hints are limited). Finally, some of the differences are just a shade difference which some color blind people can’t even see.

Intro too long!
Skip this one, the intro is so long and boring, I just want to play, not watch a summary of every level. No option to skip. I’m uninstalling.

My friends and I searched high and low on the dinosaur level and no one could find the last mistake. Unless you want to pay for hints. No thanks should be able to earn hints not buy hints. I already paid for more level why do I have to pay for hints. Game deleted

I can’t find settings to mute the music which makes this unplayable for me. I only see three unlabeled buttons that take me in circles. Very irritating.

This game started out gorgeous and fun. I’ve been playing these ‘spot the difference’ games since Life magazine. As soon as you get to the levels you pay for and start running out of hints, the difference become so small that your looking for blades of grass in a shadowed area. It’s all to make you buy hints to find impossible differences. It wasn’t even fun after that. Officially deleting.
Loses puzzle when closed
If you’re in the middle of a puzzle and have 9 of 10 things found and then you close the app and come back to it later, it starts you over.
Given how easy it would be for the developers to save your progress between app closes, this is beyond lame.
Another thing that is beyond lame is continually interrupting your search with a pop-up asking if you want to use a hint. If I wanted to use a hint, I would press the hint button. So ridiculous that this occurs repeatedly on every single puzzle.

I don’t appreciate that once you get through 10 levels, it requires a $1.99 payment to continue. Either make the game free or paid. This is nonsense and greedy.

Tricked ya!
Golly what a great game. The music is fantastic. Up there with the older sims games. Gameplay is challenging, and the concept of each puzzle is neat. The simplistic design but high quality graphics. And theeeennnn they pull the rug from under you. You have to pay to unlock the whole game (which fine I can be ok with that). But the levels become ridiculously hard and then you have to spend more money to buy hints. And then buy more. And then buy more. And you can’t call them hints. Because they simply reveal one of the differences. Would be a cool feature that goes along with the puzzle theme if the hints were actual hints. But then again, if you’re gonna spend money, I can see why it should reveal a difference. Anyway, if you’re into dropping loads of money on a mobile game, this would be one worth doing it for. Otherwise, this is a waste of a download to even try out. Costs too much.

Great game almost ruined by micro transactions
Each level is well-designed, with varying degrees of difficulty and graphics that suit the style of the game perfectly. However, one issue is that once you’ve used your hints, you cannot receive any more unless you pay for them. Even if you purchase additional levels, you won’t receive any bonus hints. Additionally, the tutorial does not provide any indications about how this system works.

Unfortunately it seems that once you pay to unlock the game, it become ridiculously difficult, what was fun for the first 10 or so levels becomes redundant and purposefully impossible so you feel the need to spend money on hints! Avoid because what they call different is literally a shade difference in color and so obscure that they purposely have one item that is impossible to find without a hint. Why entice us to pay a small fee to unlock something that is impossible once you pay it! People hate paywalls! Avoid

Ways to make it better - sluggish
First download of the app loads up the intro video. Most people will have their sound off and the beginning of the video is a still frame for several seconds. I restated my app three times thinking it was broken, almost deleted it. Tapping around frustratingly for a few seconds hoping for some feedback eventually it moved and I realized it was a video. Please add a moving speaker animation or a skip intro button or make the first few seconds more dynamic so users without sounds know what’s going on at first. In general my main gripe is back user feedback during play. All the buttons that came up in the UI look fancy but are just text, a simple outline would help users know they are a button. But more importantly please code in an instant response when the buttons are tapped. I tapped like every button 3-4 times thinking I pressed wrong or it was broken within the 2 second window it takes for it to start fading away and I realize that it had been touched. This kept happening. It’s really annoying that when you tap a button it doesn’t immediately darken or indent or show any form of response to show the user that they did indeed tap it. Zooming isn’t dynamic. It feels really sluggish and annoying that you can only zoom at certain optical ranges and not the full spectrum. The little intro text bits as well can’t be skipped or tapped through and for a second you think something is broken. The recurring issue is that in my first 5 minutes of play I tapped on the screen wayyyy more than I got responses from the screen. I was constantly thinking it broke or paused or was generally unresponsive. It does seem like a really cool game but I was just so frustrated with the UI. I think it’s supposed to be zen and chill but it comes off a little hard to play. Please take these additions into consideration, really cool game concept and art
