And on top of that you keep getting the same thing! And they do that so you can spend hella money on the game as if they don’t get enough already. Like bsfr. And don’t get me started on the prices for gold packs. Then they add boring bubble grabs…why can’t we get the good ones from a few years ago? Overall this game is too expensive and can we normalize that not everyone on this app is rich and have money to spend?!?!?

Hr is a no. The most expensive game I have ever played and it doesn’t money how much money you have spent they will and can ban you for anything and everything. Every grab that comes out I demonic and evil . And then when you do want to some money on the app it’s account bound…. Whoever owns hr is a money hungry gross weirdo of a person. EDIT: I appreciate the author responding, while they did fix some issues like the threads issue, there still is more that is an issue. They are slowly taking away offers that players use to get gold and making this game all about spending money. If you have money to burn this is the game for you. If you want a casual and fun game keep looking.

Not F2P friendly
I’ve played a lot of gatcha games over the years, and although I do enjoy playing HR from time to time, it is by FAR the least fp2 friendly game. Grabs, promotional packs, and weekly event items require that you spend hundreds of dollars a week if you want to rank high. There are incredibly few to no ways to earn gold for free. This game makes other gatcha games like genshin look like a saint. Oh and a majority of all newer items are completely AI generated, plus nfts being a big part of “elite” gameplay. I whole heartedly do not recommend this game to anyone, especially if you have an even a slight gambling addiction problem. Take it from me, pixels are not worth it!

I’m gonna have to agree with a reviewer. It’s not subscription based, but if ur not paying for one u are basically thrown to the side while everyone gets benefits. The game is extremely greedy. It used to be great, now it’s just begging for ur wallet every chance it gets. They need to change and humble themselves, because they won’t last long at all if not.

They have a HORRIBLE habit of stealing art from artists and claim it’s “parallel thinking”, despite doing it AFTER artists post their items. They don’t pay artists what they should (they profit THOUSANDS off them) on top of stealing from smaller artists. (Which they know get away with) Between stealing and flopping, definitely do not recommend putting your art or money into this app!

I loved this game so much, I’ve been plying it for years, I started in 2019. They unfortunately started using ai in a lot of their posts and promotions. They know fully well that ai harms the planet a lot sending us into a very real watch shortage.
Highrise doesn’t care anymore. They only care about the money, not what they stand for or look like while doing it.

Every update getting worse and worse,now we can’t recycle event items to threads and no one said that,just changed,as a freeplayer it’s getting hard to earn gold now.

Taking away our amour shop and now our threads from event items. Doesn't provide in game minigames for gold. Doesn't provide attainable pets for all. Favors top clubs with PR stunt of Genesis revamp. Bad updates like I said with no transparency. Could easily be a good game if the developers tried to make it a GAME not a shopping experience for virtual items.

This game used to be fun, we had 3-5 themes every week and it used to hardly crash. Now we crash every 5-10 minutes and we only have 1 theme, and half the time it’s ugly garbage items.

Zero Customer Service
This app is full of bugs and glitches, some of which will cost you scores, event placement, items, and money. Don’t expect their customer service team to do anything about it. Their customer service is purely for show and will never actually help resolve your issues. No matter how at fault they are, they’ll tell you there’s nothing they can do.
This is also one of the most slimey, dishonest apps I’ve ever played. The odds are always stacked against you. Certain crews are given special treatment by the game and nothing has been done to break up monopolies and cheating.

Hi back in 2020-2023 when I used to play this game I had a lot of fun but back in 2025 everything went downhill I had my account since June 3rd at midnight through July 15th at like 2 something Pm in the afternoon because that’s when I got banned because I got a retaliation report against someone and fallen into a trap against a minor and staff accused me of soliciting which I never freaking did by the way and I got my account denied even though I told the truth and showed evidence that I never did it and they still REFUSED to give me my account back and I accidentally made a new account which was a bad idea and got banned again I appealed 30+ times and no luck this automated support thing is trash! I went to bed crying that night because my best friend on that game who’s now my enemy got me banned for revenge just because she didn’t like me I get that we argued but come on now but other than that screw this game i’m NEVER playing this game ever again! I thought this game was my legacy but no it’s filled with mature content inappropriate outfits mean people and a corrupt staff please FIX YOUR GAME and get me unbanned but until then never again! 😡

I entered Highrise seeking merriment, fashion, and perhaps civil conversation among the townsfolk. Instead I found vanity, madness, and a marketplace of chaos most cursed.
The garments cost more gold than a king’s ransom. Every soul struts about clad in riches whilst I stand in rags like a humble cabbage farmer. Many boast, many preen, many behave as though they were crowned by divine right for owning sparkly boots.
The chat halls are filled with drama swifter than a village fire. One moment there is peace, the next there are feuds, betrayals, and gossip spread faster than the plague.
I attempted to make mine avatar beautiful, yet every worthy item was locked behind coin, gems, sorcery, or suffering. I changed my face 14 times and still looked like an underpaid goblin.

I leave this realm poorer, angrier, and suspicious of everyone wearing wings.

I played this game a lot. I enjoyed it, but I would get creepy messages all the time! Adults asking for pics, social media, or inappropriate content. I got caught up in one of these interactions so I played along with it so I could see if people got banned for these things. Guess what, I got banned because someone else was sending inappropriate messages to me. Would not recommend this game

Wow this game went from being amazing to just ignoring the people playing and being greedy now they prefer ai over artist. This game was for artist and now it’s not. Fashion is not ai. I no longer consider this a fashion game. I only hop on because I unfortunately spent money on the game. They are extremely greedy and would have more success with listening to the players and what they want. They would have more players if they were less greedy. I’m not paying or supporting ai. At one point I adored the game but it isn’t the Highrise many of us love and knew. Change is good but this is change for the worst. This used to be inspiring for fashion and they took the worse turn possible. It shows with the lack of players how downhill it’s gone it used to have so many more people. Unfortunately once prices are up you can’t go back down. They would have more sales if they had things cheaper and I spend hundreds of dollars and am very disappointed as someone who really adored Highrise and their artist.

This game is money hungry, shows very obvious favoritism and use of ai. Things like Bullying, predatory behavior towards children, have not been resolved and continue to go on even with evidence. Certain items of clothings are incredibly inappropriate and suggestive, children are not safe on this app. People are toxic and staff are toxic and reporting people does absolutely nothing. Ive been harassed, people have tried to groom me, and others. I’ve witnessed it all and nothing happened, no action was taken. Prices are absolutely THROUGH THE ROOF as well especially on grabs where the odds are incredibly unfair and very obviously only seeking more money just to give us less and less.

I loved this game, been a 3 yr long player of it, but recently with this new update NOTHING WORKS ANYMORE. I can't see messages and the texts are all over the screen. HUGE BUGS and horrible update. Coins problem and boring
I’m trying to earn coins through the RevU website and none of the offers have been completed despite the apps and offers I’m doing, confirming I’ve done what’s been asked. Also lowkey boring, not fun like it used to be in 2024. Only gave 3 stars bc most people seem chill on the app plus nostalgia.

I’ve been playing this game since it came out, all the way from the Charlie Brown grab. I HATE what this game has turned into. Nobody just sits to talk anymore. The main objective is buying and selling. YOU will be mostly buying what the game devs are selling. If you choose to spin the grabs you’re gonna spend 20k plus for a legendary that will sell for 2k or less if you’re lucky. Not to mention 27k gold cost 100usd. Let that sit for a min. Those 17 rares you pulled will sell for 20g each if you’re lucky. I have spent days trying to sell items from my inventory for 50g and nothing sells. IT USE TO SELL but the game is completely ruined now. I’ve been on and off hoping something has changed and it never does. THIS IS NOT A SOCIAL GAME the way they advertise. Nobody will talk to you unless they want to lowball you on your items or boost their own post, But don’t forget! You will need to spend money to get items first
Inflated like the economy
I’m a college student, and while I enjoyed designing outfits for this game in my free time for a while, the game itself has become far too expensive and repetitive. I wish it was more affordable and easier to obtain items. I spent a lot of money on this game back then, and can’t afford to do the same now. Overall, prices just need to be adjusted, otherwise I’d still play this game.
