I would rate it higher except that the app is clearly designed to make it impossible to cancel the subscription and even their support message says if the app doesn’t work then reach out to us, which then takes more layers. I had to dispute the charges with the bank.

Prioritizes profits over patient care
I was with hims for a while, paying their crazy markups for medications. It was convenient, except the doctors barely talk with you. They’re there just to sell product. I was near the end of my subscription and I chose to cancel, I asked for them to send me a lower dose to taper off my meds, 3 weeks before my subscription ends. Usually this would be no problem and covered, but now they know I didn’t plan to renew so they’re in sales mode. They chose to say ‘we won’t send anything else because your subscription is not active’ in other words, pay us another $147 for what would cost $10 at the local pharmacy. I’ve been with them over a year and this is how they treat you, manipulate you to keep you subscribed. Only after mentioning I would report them to the better business bureau did they offer to at least send a prescription to my local pharmacy

Beware of Fraud
App is worst. They save your credit card info without your permission and you can not delete it. Also they charge for 6 months supply and deliver only 150 days supply. I have complained with BBB but Hims representatives are fraud and shameless. They don’t care. Never buy anything from them.

Pricing misleading
Pricing claims $149 for treatment, leaving out that treatment is upwards of $150 on top of that initial membership fee. They also do not take insurance. Do not waste your money, I wish I hadn’t and I only got it a few hours ago.

Charged membership fees without ordering meds
I used Hims for years. I recently logged in to look at the GLP one options and saw they had a $149 a month membership fee, which does not include any medication. I got through some of the set up process before I saw this. I did not order any medication and went on to order from another company. I was auto bill for two months when I noticed on June 3. I requested a refund and they said they could not request it because (copy and pasted) “Since a member of the Care Team has already completed a review and made a medical determination that you are eligible for treatment, we're unable to provide a refund for your membership fee. I truly apologize for any inconvenience” filing a dispute with my credit card company. Deleted my data from Hims and deleted the app. To end up being charged a membership fee after selecting a medication and checking out his predatory and I will not do business with this company again.

Good Luck Getting Your Meds
They will literally delay your medication deliveries and be responsible for you missing doses. When you reach out for help they will say, “Sorry, but we are busy.” When you tell them to send your next meds early they will just ignore you. I’ve reached out no less than 10 times and been brushed off every time. They are not at all a serious company.

This medicine only gives temporary results. During the first cycle, just enough to convince you that it really works, after about four months you may notice some tiny new hairs growing. But after the fifth month, or when you start the second cycle, all your hair falls out again.
I regret buying it a second time, and I will not use it anymore.

Terrible Customer Support
After having issues with the effectiveness of a product, they upped the dosage a bit but neglected to tell me that it doubled the price. When I wrote to cancel my order of that was going to be the new price, they waited days to get back to me so they could get it shipped and say it was too late. I’ve been in contact with them for weeks, getting AI agents and saved macros replies which are often irrelevant. It’s been such a massive headache, and I’ll just have to do a chargeback through my credit card. Absolutely done with Hims after being a customer for almost a decade.

The worst app. Horribleness
I have more than five months trying to communicate with someone from your team and I can’t. The app is very confusing and does not allow you to buy its products. I have tried to buy your product for hair loss and acne treatment but when I get to the section where I must register my address information, it will not let me move forward. It’s frustrating. I have more than five friends who have the same problem with the app. I really want to buy your product and have a subscription, but unfortunately your app won’t let me move forward. They didn’t solve my technical support problem, it’s really an app that doesn’t work... what a terrible service. Poor Doctor Coordination
My experience with Hims for testosterone optimization was mixed.
The good part: the blood testing panel was very comprehensive and gave me valuable insight into my hormone levels.
The frustrating part came afterward. Different doctors seemed to review my results, but the communication was inconsistent and confusing. One message said I qualified for treatment, while another later stated No, I don’t qualify and that the treatment had been canceled, just to get yet another message from yet another doctor saying “Great News! You qualify” It became difficult to understand whether I actually qualified or how to proceed.
The messaging system also feels very scripted, cold and impersonal, almost AI-generated at times, and keeping track of multiple conversations from different providers was frustrating.
Overall, the lab testing was excellent, but the follow-up communication and coordination between providers left me very disappointed.

“Hims” is no different from those pill pushing big pharma companies. I’ve been using hims since February and still no results but my sleeping pattern has changed when taking the depression meds. Very disappointed with this service. I was charged for an automatic renewal of the weight loss program even though i never received any prescription or medication through the program. When I contacted customer service to request a refund, they were unwilling to help resolve the issue.

Never again
I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience using the HIMS app and dealing with its customer service. The entire process feels disorganized, unclear, and frustrating from start to finish.
There is absolutely no consistency in communication. Every time I reach out through chat, a different person responds, forcing me to repeat myself over and over again because nobody seems to review previous conversations or follow up properly. There is no ownership of issues, no continuity, and no sense that anyone is actually managing the customer experience.
The app itself lacks clarity and direction. Instructions are vague, navigation is confusing, and there are too many disconnected points of contact. Instead of simplifying healthcare and support, the platform creates unnecessary stress and wasted time.
Response times are unacceptable. Waiting hours for a reply through chat is already frustrating, but phone support is even worse. Long hold times combined with ineffective communication make it nearly impossible to get straightforward answers or timely assistance.
For a company that promotes convenience and accessibility, the actual customer experience falls far below expectations. Better communication, accountability, follow-through, and clearer guidance are seriously needed.
At this point, I have completely lost confidence in this service and will not be using HIMS again.

Don’t trust them
I’m very disappointed with the customer service experience I had with Hims. I attempted to cancel a subscription order before it shipped because the medication wasn’t effective. Despite reaching out immediately, support refused to provide any refund or even store credit, even though the product had not yet been delivered at the time of my request.
What was most frustrating was the lack of flexibility or genuine customer care. Instead of trying to help resolve the issue fairly, I was repeatedly told to simply dispose of the medication once it arrived. For a company focused on healthcare and long-term customers, this felt extremely impersonal and wasteful.
I tried to handle the situation respectfully and professionally because I originally liked the company and hoped to continue using their services in the future. Unfortunately, the response made it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority in this case.
I understand companies have policies, but good customer service also involves reasonable judgment and willingness to work with loyal customers when honest mistakes happen. This experience has made me reconsider using the company going forward. Please don’t waste your time and money with them.

Will not work with you
I was in Europe when I got the notification that a shipment was coming to my house in America. I immediately got on the app to try and reschedule. They refused to help me at all. Their response was “sorry you didn’t give us enough time”. Even though I requested help no more than 30 minutes after the notification. I strongly suggest doing medications through a company that will work with you.
