★★★★★ "I was scammed. This doesn’t tell you that if the eSIM is compatible with your carrier or not until after you purchase. There’s no clear way to get a refund, so I’m now $50 down the toilet because this company focuses on profit over providing a service." - ZMasters3

Slow as hell
I might as well have just gotten eSIMs in each country I visited. The unlimited plan is not worth it. The fine print says it will give you the highest speed it can on other networks prioritizing the native devices on the network. Even when it’s said I have 5G it’s slow as hell.

No data
this app doesn't work. I have followed all of their instructions, but the app crashes. I have no data whatsoever. It worked for about 30 minutes when I reached 60MB.... the data completely shut off. and I paid for three unlimited plans. The first day of tech-support they literally hung up and said you can call us tomorrow and will help you with troubleshooting some more before they even solve the problem. Avoid this company.
International l esim
it doesn’t work don’t waste your money
Doesn’t work globally
I purchased a global plan but to my surprised when I changed from Peru to Bolivia the eSIM card stopped working. After a lot of conversations back and forth, they couldn’t fix the problem and offered a refund! I was left “stranded” in a foreign country! Be aware of this before you decide to purchase one eSIM card with this app!!
Stay far away from this app!!!!!
Unfortunately while on my travels, Holafly didn’t work one bit. The only reason I was able to even use my phone was connecting to WiFi’s. Texting, calling and just basic communication was a nightmare!!! It never worked even when I needed to quickly contact my family, it never sent. I do not recommend using Holafly at all, unless you have access to WiFi throughout your trip. Stay away from it. It’s not worth the money!!!!
Thieves
Paid for a Holafly eSIM, I didn’t get a chance to use it until few months later, I found it was no longer usable. I paid for a service and got nothing from it. A bench of thieves, very disappointing experience
Will delete conversation if they made mistake
They delete conversation when they made mistake recommend wrong package, and won’t make change to it
App is not working
You can buy a new plan, but then the app will log you out and there is no way to get back in. And their support is a chatbot loop, took me 2h to get to a human, which was equally unhelpful. A far cry from good old Holafly a year or so back.
Avoid if you need a reliable service

Email does not work.
The thing says to use the email used when purchasing the sim but a lot of people don’t have that email this is very unhelpful without email and hard to use like pls make it send to your phone instead or something that doesn’t need the email used to buy the eSIM that you already bought.
Customer service is really bad
They dont listen what u said asking personal information which has to be private
It’s a scam.
Do not download. It’s a scam.
2x the price
I sent an email with a discount code. It sent me to a website to purchase. Website then directed me to the app to install. The app said I had to pay again because I didn’t recognize the web purchase.
Seemed like a good idea
In the UK this Holafly thing is practically worthless. It's like the olden days scurrying from one hotel WiFi to the next. You'd think it would at least work in a car park in the center of town, but no. No signal 90% of the time. Not in York. Not in Whitby. Not in Nottingham. Not in Cambridge. Not working on 3 different devices, we're out £90 ($120) with very little to show for it.

This eSIM is terrible. It connects, but the internet is almost unusable
DOES NOT WORK
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience using Holafly in Puerto Rico. I purchased the unlimited data plan, followed all setup instructions correctly, and even confirmed through your help chat that everything was configured properly - yet the eSIM did not work for the entire first day of my trip.
It then randomly started working on day 2, but completely cut out again halfway through day 3 despite me making no changes to my phone settings. This made the service unreliable and frustrating, especially while traveling and depending on mobile data.
What’s worse is this is not the first time this has happened. I used Holafly in Puerto Rico last August and experienced the exact same issues. After giving the service another chance, I had the same unreliable connection problems again.
I paid for unlimited data and did not receive the service that was advertised. Because of the repeated failures and inconsistent performance, I am requesting a full refund.
I cannot recommend Holafly based on these experiences.

No pierdan su dinero
Lo use en miami y casi nunca tuve señal, tuve que pagar por una linea telefonica normal porque la aplicación funcionaba muy mal, a duras penas llegaba un WhatsApp cada cierto tiempo
No sirve
Page casi 25 dlls y no fuciono cuando pedi reembolso me dijero que mi compra no aparecia aun cuando les mande foto del recibo dos veces
Barely usable in Japan & France
I tried this in the major cities of Japan and France - HARDLY EVER had service!! So bad that I had to switch to my Verizon international plan during emergencies. Can only ocassionally load webpages or maps but can usually text. Unlimited? I don’t think so! Maybe this works in Mexico but I wouldn’t count on it. And no way to get a refund - I paid $38 for holafly, had no service, and then ended up having to pay for my Verizon $15/day plan anyway. Japan is know for its high speed data so there’s no excuse for this. Once I switched to my Verizon plan (which uses local networks internationally anyway, just like holafly) I was back to high speed. So why is holafly so slow?
The instructions are also super confusing - in Japan, they were in-app instructions. In France, they sent me a WhatsApp instruction with a BROKEN QR code AND an email with conflicting instructions. I ended up having to ask ChatGPT how to set it up and it was completely different. It logs in now but the service is absolutely terrible.
It say 5G full bars all the time but can’t send an email, timed out webpages, timed out maps. Feels scammy.

Terrible customer service
Don’t use the referral. They will not give you the coins and the only customer support is AI that cannot and will not help you. Will be using a different service from now on
AVOID THIS APP
the service is terrible. Their unlimited is a scam-the speed is super slow and doesn’t even support their own app so you have to use roaming to even contact them about issues. I used roaming through my usual provider so I could message an agent (all their agents are ai btw) and they told me the service didn’t work because I was using roaming. ABSOLUTE SCAM!! DONT USE THIS SERVICE!!
Not so great service.
Paid for a 19 day trip. Never got an email for the QR code. Downloaded the app. Keep saying that I don’t have eSIMs. Been trying to connect with a human to help trouble shoot and none to be found. Just getting the annoying Zoe. Any other similar out there? My first time using this kind of service.
THROTTLING DATA, CS gives you the runaround
I had the global unlimited plan. It was great for 2 weeks then all of a sudden 5G went to 3G and with major blackouts throughout the day. CS was not helpful and wasted tons of time.
experience was frustrating during travel.
Honestly very disappointed with Holafly in Peru.
The connection in Lima was extremely slow and unstable - Google Maps, Uber, and even simple messaging apps barely worked.
I tried airplane mode, restarting my phone, and manually switching networks, but nothing helped much.
I finally switched to Saily and the connection immediately became normal and much faster.
Huge difference.
I really wanted Holafly to work because it was convenient, but the experience was frustrating during travel.

Works ok
Always prefers lte slower connection. All customer service is with a bot, and provides scripted responses without logic
Get Airalo
Traveling in Europe just to find out that “unlimited” doesn’t mean unlimited, and that you may loose all the network connection in the middle of your journey
Just okay when it works
Hasn’t worked over half the by time I’ve been in Japan. When it works it’s slow, and very unreliable because apps will load data but you cannot browse websites much. I’m finding myself using more of my 2G service from T-Mobile so I at least have something.
Horrible Coverage
Installed and paid for on a 2 week trip through France and Italy. Coverage was horrendous at best. Speeds were equally as bad. My native carrier had better coverage.
You get what you pay for.

Didn’t work as expected
Just came from a trip from China. Holafly, didn’t work at all in Beijing, and for nobody else in the group for that matter. Someone actually bought a SIM card locally and still didn’t work. iPhone, Android, Google, didn’t matter. Outside Beijing it did work but not reliably. However most of the time it was good enough for me to use Instagram and Alipay except for a couple of times. In Beijing I simply used AT&T international plan ($12/ day 😢) and that worked extremely well but expensive.
So Slow
In my experience the data was very slow when it worked, which it mostly did not. One of the three customer service reps I messaged wanted to be a little combative for no reason. However I appreciate them responding quickly and submitting for a partial refund, even if I do not end up getting it.
