Account Incorrectly Disabled
My account was incorrectly disabled. I’ve been trying to contact support for a manual review and to reactivate my account for over a week but have not received a response. I’ve sent messages through the app and to their support email but I’ve yet to receive a response. Can someone please reactivate my account? I’ll be glad to delete this 1 star review once this is fixed because I do love the app.

If you going to limit to 40 views, don’t have such awful filters. Useless

They work hard to help you match with other believers as long as you pay your tithe to them in the form of likes and messages. You have to pay for everything. Someone likes you and holy wants to show you but only if you subscribe and pay. Want to be a really strong holy user, subscribe for 3 months. Sick of dating apps like this

People who match on the app are quick to judge and will ghost you afterwards. Some of the people on the app have hidden agenda other than making friends or dating. Better stick to Bumble or Tinder.

I would like to support christian business that helps building the community, but this app is way too expensive just to view people who waved at me.

I have proof that I ended subscription but it charged me anyways an still no response from support when they would respond only when I had the subscription.

The app overall is pretty terrible to begin with. Most people are over 150 miles away. You have to wait hours to get new suggestions. Don’t waste your time with this app at all. Get a real dating app.

They might as well have asked, "Are you a blanket? If so, how many, and at what time?" It's just ridiculous. 😂

This application unfortunately when I shared feedback severely limited my visibility on the application where as other apps I used same photos had many matches, this application I had maybe 1 or 2 folks literally be careful what you say when they ask for “honest feedback” I don’t read responses to my ratings as they are MY true experience I’m sure the developers will respond for “optics” but this application was unpleasant for me met one person virtually and he was insane no joke. I love the scriptures they put but that’s all I can say that was good about it for me folks should be screened more idk, I was terrified with the person I did match with there.
DONT BOTHER
Doesn’t match with anybody in your area even when you clearly specify in preferences. Then once you stop paying for the app, they stop matching you with anybody and stop replying to any of your questions.
Will not let you on
I tried to register and they never even let me on. They have to approve you. This is not for everyone. It’s very discriminatory. If you’re not what they’re looking for they will not let you on.
Money Trap
I tried this app because it advertised itself as Christian-based, but I found that most of my matches were over 50 miles away, which makes meaningful connections difficult. While the app allows you to “wave” at someone, you cannot start a conversation without paying, which limits genuine interaction. Overall, I did not find this app effective for connecting with local singles.
After swiping no to 40 people they make you wait 3 hours to look again
First of all you have to wait 1-3 days for them to approve your face to even use the app then I finally get in, not even there for a full 5 minutes and I’m swiping I guess I rejected 40 people (I know what I’m looking for lol and I’m picky) they hit me with a 3 hour break pop up. THREE HOURS of break time because I wasn’t interested in the 40 people I saw??? So now I can’t use it for THREE hours..Stick to upward dating app this is not it

Honestly, it’s sad how this app is more expensive than the secular dating apps, they also offer way less which gives you no option but to spend on the high fees. I was disappointed.
Judgmental Application
Application process is very judgmental. As if they didn’t ask a ton of personal questions to begin, my photos that were completely appropriate got denied because they didn’t meet their guidelines. Not only was I fully dressed they were clear recent photos of my face. Not everyone keeps a picture of a baptism photo or has pictures out with friends that are recent.

Tried to give Holy a second shot late last year - and unfortunately, once again, it is filled w/ the male gender who have no idea what a submitted life to the Lord looks like. Have just ended things w/ someone who looked like they loved God, when in reality they loved using weed as a coping mechanism, looking at women as a distraction and used their wounds as an excuse to be aggressive towards me. Sadly men do not understand how to fully submit their lives 100% over to the lordship of Jesus and will lead others down a path of destruction. Women be careful who you allow into your life - and be very picky about who you date because Jesus is very protective of your heart!

Horrible dating app
Horrible dating app where you need to pay at least $14.99 to see if anyone likes you. Also, it will buzz your Apple Watch every time somebody likes you with their message, but when you click on the notification, it frustratingly shows you some random person instead of who just liked you. Also, the user base is so small, that chances are, the person who liked you lives in Oklahoma while you live in California. 0%. Failure. Horrible App.

The only way to enjoy the app is to pay for it. Which is annoying. So the whole app is hidden by a pay wall.

This is unequivocally the worst dating I’ve tried. It’s very pretentious. They try to disguise their sales pitch as being thoughtful. “You’ve just seen 40 made in God’s image, now you need to take a break” but you can pay to skip the break. Spare me.

Clueless support team
I'm extremely disappointed with the Holy app. For no apparent reason, my account was banned from the platform, leaving me locked out and unable to access my connections. Reaching out to support was a nightmare, responses took WEEKS, and when they finally replied, they had no idea what happened or how to fix it. Their team seems completely untrained and unprepared to handle basic issues. I'm still banned with no explanation.

Dealbreakers not enforced even at paid tier
App only allows you to narrow location to 60 mile radius, basically makingg it a long distance app. Majority of feed is outside of preferences, which defeats the purpose

The app started out good but now I only see matches in different states. My preference is set to my city and state and I don’t get those matches. Will be deleting app.

Overview: This app kinda sucks. But it doesn’t suck as much as some of the others.
Bottom line: It’s still a money grab. They are a bit more clever about it but for example, I got a wave, but could not see it unless I upgraded. It was my first wave, like you don’t even get the first one free. Plus to top it off, I had already run through my 40 people for the day (of which 1 person got a wave from me, will expand on this later). It’s restricting and if these people are honest, they care more about making money than making matches. I hope they are at least willing to be honest about it. If not… would really question the faith based approach here.
Easy fix: Allow people to look at as many accounts as they want. If you NEED to restrict something (again because money is your one and only motivation) restrict waves.
The good: The authenticity checks are great. I like the willingness to force people to wait while an account is being vetted. That’s why they got 2 stars instead of 1.
Reality: stop getting on dating apps. The kind of people that run these ARE NOT interested in helping people meet other people. They are interested in making money, and the experience of this app reflects that entirely.
P.S - Fellas, I can tell this app is legit due to the fact that I only liked 1/40 accounts I came across if you’re catching my drift.

It’s weird if you think about it
Holy, an app for Christians, charging the same prices as Tinder back in the day when I was not a Christian. Kinda weird. $15 for 1 week is weird. I’m being shown people 150 miles away from me and I can’t change to nearby only unless I pay, which I absolutely will not. Since ai can now create apps literally for free, we need to make more Christian apps free. Why does anyone need to profit off of connecting Gods people to each other?

The app itself runs smoothly, but it makes you wait 4 hours after swiping through about 40 people unless you pay to skip the 4 hour break. Just use Upward, most of the people I’ve seen on holy are already on Upward anyway
