Ai driven slop..
OS is awful unless you are on an iPad/phone. Support staff very kind but not helpful at all, as they rely on AI to handle most problems and every person who was responded to my problems addresses a slightly different problem than the one I asked about. At least the AI attempted to answer my question correctly and not skimming it. Contracts are such a disaster I paid for adobe for 2 yrs as well just so I could avoid the impending doom of using Honeybooks. After just one… just one contract use….my 3 years of frustration has come to an end. Like an abusive relationship I have finally built up the courage to cut the cord. This service is worth $5 a month tops… and that may be a stretch. I wish good health and happiness but please save your mental health and use another app… heck even goggle docs is a better option than this.

Clunky
I want to like this more but it’s clunky af. The app takes too long to load the intro screen, then more time to go from menu to menu.
It’s 2026- nobody has time to sit around waiting for loading pages in a CRM/invoicing app

Not always easy to use for multiple reasons
1. For clients with weddings that require multiple dates of coverage like south Asian weddings, I cannot assign multiple dates in the contract that populates into the calendar.. so that calendar syncing is useless to me.
2. There should be a feature to just select physical payments to avoid credit card and bank transfers fees. Somehow sync with zelle would be great.
3. This app is not working on my new iPhone 13 pro. The screen keeps buffering even though I deleted and re-installed app. All other apps that I use are working fine on my phone.
4. Everytime I try to add a vendor contact that is not part of HoneyBook, the system says “error”.

Slow, slow, and slow
I genuinely can’t understand how a company that just felt the need to dramatically increase their price is able to maintain their business with an app that is this slow and buggy. I need 10 seconds for the app to register anything I do. I have to wait another 10 seconds for it to update and then provide me with another view of my dashboard and then another 10 seconds to actually interact with it.
My notifications won’t go away even though I’ve repeatedly tapped the clear all notifications button.
It’s clear that HoneyBook wants a top quality experience that’s feature packed and easily manipulated via a mobile phone.
It’s also clear that this is a problem amongst the users and they’ve done nothing tangible to improve it.
BUT THANK THE GOOD LORD WE HAVE AI INTEGRATED IN MY PAYMENT PROCESSOR FOR SOME REASON
Edit: I now cannot and have not been able to apply automations to new leads for over a week now. They’re actively taking money out of my pocket.

The technology was not teaching
I did the trial after a great session with ChatGPT, who recommended it for my business. I created an account and once I clicked the verify email link, it stopped working. I chatted with HB and they told me to reset my password. I did, yet it would not take. I chatted again and asked if someone could call me, they did not. I opened it this am and it had my logo with the name Jane Smith. Suffice to say, if it is not working during the trial, it cannot work for my business.

Bad customer service
Someone recommended honeybook to me so I went online and did a free trial for a week before deciding to commit. It’s a little pricey so I was iffy but I thought to myself why not try it one year with my friend’s referral code. Unfortunately because I did the free trial, honeybook said they couldn’t honor the referral unless I had text proof I received the referral code before signing up. Since my friend had verbally referred it to me, I didn’t have that proof. Honestly the bad customer service was enough for me to go with another CRM instead. Obviously if they can’t honor something so simple as that I can only imagine their bad customer service would be an issue on the future.

Supposed to make life simpler does the opposite
It literally is supposed to let you do everything from one spot when you can only do certain things from a desktop certain things from a website, browser and certain things from the app. you have to set it all up in a way that it does exactly what you wanted to do with the automations that you put in otherwise don’t even bother.

Customer service is extremely hard to get in contact with. If you need to pay for the service they are QUICK to contact you but when it comes to paying out the money for invoices it doesn’t take 2-3 days as they say. Horrible experience. Once I get my money from the invoice I won’t be back

I’ve been using HoneyBook to run my business for several years and love the desktop version. Hands down the best CRM platform I’ve found. Unfortunately the App is basically unusable since anytime I try to create or pull up a file for a project in the mobile version, I just get a blank page and the circle of death. This is true both on my iPhone and iPad. This means I have to bring my laptop everywhere if I want to access files, and if I need to send something on the run or while traveling without my laptop, I can’t. Very disappointing and inconvenient given the price point.

Lots of bugs lately
Over the past couple months the app has been so glitchy. Anytime I try to add a smart file to a project the app freezes up and I’m forced to quit it. I’ve contacted the HoneyBook support team multiple times about this with no solution. I’m forced to only use the desktop version of HoneyBook which is extremely frustrating. For the price, this shouldn’t be an issue I have to deal with.

Dissatisfied
I signed up and paid for the annual subscription. When I tried to upload templates or edit the free ones, it directs me to download the app. I did. The app says my trial has expired…I paid for the annual subscription in January. It’s asking for my updated banking info…did that directly on the website over a month ago yet it’s asks every time I login. Mind you, I am unable to edit the templates in the app even though the website says “to edit download the app”. I go to the Help Center, it’s AI and says I cannot edit the templates. Company got greedy
I was a HoneyBook user for a couple of years. I loved the product but their recent price hike is outrageous. They call themselves the small business CRM but charge prices meant for larger scale businesses. My company is a photography business and their cheapest package is over $500 a year from $260. That’s a pretty big price hike. My cost of doing business compared to their prices doesn’t make sense for me. Not to mention, they forced me out of my current plan. I’ve cancelled my service and went with another booking service that I am completely happy with for a third of the cost.

Just canceled my account after 65 days
Was referred to this company and paid a year and was one of the worst experiences I have had with a payment gateway system… After processing over $4,000 within the first 10 days I didn’t get a payout for over 45 days due to several glitches in their system. All I was compensated was for 2 months of free service after my one year so it wasn’t even a true compensation.
They then overpaid me after this and deducted the money from my account unauthorized. I didn’t even know I was over paid because within the first 40 days I processed over $10,000. Was charged $120.00 in unauthorized overdraft fees with no solution. I closed my account. This company is horrible. From the started it’s been hassle after hassle… nothing but a waste of time, money, and energy…

Doesn’t make life easier
Of all the features they tout about, I end up being forced to use the desktop interface to actually get something done 90% of the time. Customize contracts? Desktop only. Print via the app? Not if you have IOS! Desktop it is! We’re paying almost $300 a year that includes an app that’s barely better than a tamagotchi? Oh wait, that’d only be on desktop, too.
