Sometimes the subtitles don’t work even though the subtitles are turned on. Also can you please bring back the TV show Married with Children? It’s my favorite show and I love watching it. Why do all the good shows expire on this app?!
Hulu is my favorite app because I love watching ads!
I used to think that I liked watching content, but then I started watching shows on Hulu, and I finally discovered that my purpose in life was watching two or three advertisements every five minutes! I used to ask myself question like what happens next or did they survive, but now I ask myself questions like do I want to buy that toilet paper or am I paying too much for car insurance or should I purchase that medication for my itchy anus? Thanks Hulu, I never realized how many new prescriptions I needed. Once I thought I lived a happy life, but now I have been trained, and I understand that I am primarily exist to make purchases that I am told to make. I exist to consume goods that I am told to purchase. My life is now complete.

Download is trash
You can download shows and movies no problem but as soon as you go offline (say, airplane mode), all downloads disappear. Infuriating.

Audio Description is horrible
Movies have audio description turned on with no option to turn it off. Either watch in Korean or get a ridiculous audio description of everything happening during the movie. Why is this being forced on me?! I’m done with Hulu
Constant VPN errors
Apps used to work with no issue. The last month constant error related to VPN, which I am not using! Only works on smart tv now not phone or tablet. Hulu provides no help with issue.
Don't download this terrible app
You need 15+ different subscriptions to watch shows. These greedy companies can't just let it be one
Plain subscription. I got tricked into purchasing it assuming I was going to be able to watch the show I specifically bought it for, cancelled instantly when I realized it was locked. -$20 don't download this unless you want to support some greedy people.

awful app
this app is literally the worst thing in the entire world. It is the most sensitive app ever you click on one thing it takes you to 17 different TV shows and not the one that you want.. it makes you watch ad after ad after ad after you pay them $30 a month it's literally annoying. I only ever use this app to watch Grey's Anatomy, and I never touch it after that
poor service
Death by a thousand paper cuts. Everything eventually works kind of okay, but it’s so frustrating and time consuming that it doesn’t seem worth the trouble. It’s a shame because the media selection is pretty good

Hulu is terrible on all platforms and is not at all intuitive. We have the “with ads” subscription, and I wonder if they’re just being jerks and trying to convince us to upgrade to “no ads” because they often show the same 3-4 commercials every break during a show or movie, and they almost always show 1-3 of those more than once. It’s pathetic and not entertaining, and it may cause us to switch to YouTube or something else. The current Harry Potter Experience commercial runs every single break. Come on! Stop insulting us!!!!!!!

This app is trash
The Hulu app on Apple TV is quite possibly the worst app I have ever used. It constantly freezes and crashes especially when using Live Tv making it virtually unusable, pretty much have to kill the app and reopen to change channels.
Do you also enjoy constantly having to re-log into entertainment apps on your TV? If so, then this is the app for you, as it can’t seen to hold a login for more than 6-8 hours.
I am looking to replace them as my live TV provider as this is completely unacceptable from a high profile company. Spend some money and find a developer that can fix this POS app.

Hulu should not have anime episodes repeated twice as sub and dub why can’t you guys have the episodes repeated one time and when we click play then we could choose our audio language you guys you have the audio option in the same way as Netflix has it
TOO MANY ADs
like actually way too many, it’s not even worth it to watch the shows on it anymore because you’ll be seeing a bit of show in your ads.

Hulu shows are great. Hulu apps suck and have sucked for years across every device I’ve used them on, especially so on apple devices. Inputs don’t read half the time or are delayed, it crashes randomly, and I have to close and reopen it whenever a new episode plays. Despite the fact that I’m actively trying to give them my money, I’d almost rather pirate it just for the ease of access. You’re already losing so many people to other streaming platforms and piracy. This is a war and Hulu isn’t even fighting

This App Sucks
I could not hate this app any more than I do. The live TV screen freezes often, the live TV exits on its own without notice, etc. It’s been going on for the 10 months since I started using it. It’s awful. Just pay for YouTube TV and avoid the aggravation. Stay away!

Surprisingly terrible for a company like Hulu... Doesn't properly handle portrait to landscape rotation (in landscape the video takes 1/2 the screen). Video controls don't work - tapping play just literally does nothing. App freezes or is unresponsive. Audio will play with no video. Tapping the video brings up the controls maybe 25% of the time. Tried watching an hour long show on a flight and force quit the app a dozen times. Audio continues to play even after quitting the app?! Hard to imagine anyone @ Hulu working on this app actually uses it and is ok shipping something at this quality

Beware of “Downloaded” Episodes
I downloaded several episodes to stream offline. Then I got a message from my cellular provider letting me know I used 46 GB of data streaming Hulu! When I reached out to Hulu I was told “Since the investigation will be on-going and there's no turn around time at the moment, what I can suggest is to observe the service from time to time and rest assured improvement will be immediately observed on your end without any further notice once the issue is resolved. The investigation will be conducted by the higher-level team”

Constant crashing
The Apple TV app has been crashing for months. There’s regular updates but none of them fix the issue. It will buffer then crash shortly after. Disney has so much money and this app seems to be one of the worst streaming platforms available.

Besides the insane price for this subscription this app crashes too much for me. It constantly logs me out, stays one the loading screen as soon as I open the app, and/or just crashes all together. Makes me not want to use it anymore and cancel my subscription.

despite paying for the top subscription and bundle, I never received these features. upon requesting a refund within 12 hours hours only given a partial credit.

I’ve had Hulu for years. I used to watch it on a TV now I primarily watch it on a tablet. The app is so incredibly laggy and constanstly shuts down you literally can’t watch a show. I’m on perfect WiFi and have 5g but it’s still freezing every 2 minutes and shutting down. It took me an hour and 40 minutes to watch a 57 minute show tonight. Ridiculous. Deleting my subscription and just paying for shows on prime
Soooo many bugs on the app
Hulu is successful because of the sheer number of shows it has. The app itself is terrible though. So many issues including subtitles options disappearing randomly, starting a different episode if you try to go out of the app.
The most egregious issue however, is when you click on one episode and it literally skips to the one after that. This is terrible when the show you’re watching has a “last time on ________” bit and it reveals all the spoilers from the episode you meant to watch.
I initially thought I may be fat fingering it until I tried to play the last episode of a season and had it skip to episode 1 of the next season.

We are having trouble loading
When go into the detail to actually try and watch the show, it will error out. This only happens on the app.
If I'm paying I should be able to decide
I now have to take items off my phone just to be able to watch anything because this dumb company won't let me just watch stuff in the browser. You over charge and hand the audacity to be picky. Oh heavens no I'm probably gonna cancel after this thanks for wasting my time!!!
THE NEW CABLE
Streaming used to mean convenience and control. Now it feels like we’re right back to scheduling our lives around release times, just like cable - except we’re paying for multiple platforms instead of one.

Overpriced for the way my screen is always loading! The shows just buffer endlessly! It’s annoying and only happens within this app! Doesn’t happen on Netflix! Don’t raise the price for subpar watching experience
Trash App
The live TV function is trash. It’s full of bugs and app response has you second guessing your decision on if any other live TV app is available. I truly hope Hulu doesn’t pay an app developer to update this garbage they call an app. The fact this has a subscription cost is embarrassing for everyone involved. Save yourself some money and massive amounts of time waiting on the UI to respond and go check anything else out.
App Constantly Quits
Watching any live TV/sports is unbearable. The app will unexpectedly quit within 20 minutes, without fail. Doesn’t happen on HBO, ESPN, Peacock, or any other app where we watch live sports, so it’s not a connection issue. Makes Hulu a terrible option to replace cable
