Complete scam
Don’t fall for this complete scam of a product. Do a little research on Google/reddit or anywhere else on the internet. These bands are drop shipped garbage. I purchased one Hume band and one $25 health band off AliExpress. Both paired with the Hume app as “Hume bands” both had the same readings and both were completely inaccurate compared to real products like woop or Apple Watch.
Waste of money
The device dies in about a day and a half, metrics are terrible. On my activity grade it always give me an F, I’m seventy years old, I ride a bike 8 miles a day, run on a treadmill 45 minutes and use an elliptical machine, plus get my 10,000 steps a day, what sense does that make? Customer service is a joke and the app is a white screen most of the time, worthless. And try to make a return, forget about that.
Zero Coaching Provided
The scale provides zero coaching feedback. The numbers are useless without it. A generic statement “improve any of these numbers will improve your score “ is meaningless without providing a plan to do so. The score drops despite taking steps to improve it. I understand the desire for users to purchase the entire system (scale, membership and band) but 2 out of 3 ain’t bad as the song says. There should be better integration with Apple Watch so as to pull and use all of the data requested when pairing. If using the scale for multiple users, you must shut down the app on the phone, turn off BlueTooth and put Apple Watch into airplane mode for the user not being weighed so it doesn’t try to connect to multiple phones. For some reason simply shutting down the app won’t release the connection. The app routinely requests feedback but fails each I suspect due to the single star and my feedback.
Does not work! Don’t buy this!
If I could give this zero stars I would. It quit working within a few days. The battery dies immediately and does not hold a charge and I’ve only owned it for a few months. It says it can’t connect again. It’s unable to download any of my data for four days now. I’ve charged it and it’s fully charged and it still can’t connect to download my data. My husband got his the same day and he does not have any of these problems with his. I obviously got a lemon. I’ve wrote to the company and they agree. They said they’d send a new one out but I’m still waiting for over a month now. I have a Apple Watch, Fitbit and Oura ring and I love them all. I don’t have any problems with them. I would avoid Hume band if you’re trying to finalize what fitness device is the most accurate.
My mistake
Hume claims to have support by delightful humans, but they offer ZERO technical support. Conversation with anyone on the customer service “team” is strictly prohibited. My v1 came with a battery that lasted less than a day and I tried to reach out for support to find out what I was doing wrong. Ultimately, I needed to provide timed screen shots to prove it. Now I have a v2, the battery that is supposed to last 5-15 days lasted 4 before I woke up to a failure to connect due to low battery. I will live with the fact that I wasted my money and fell for a con by a company built to scale quickly on the backs of gullible people. And I suspect I will need to turn this into a 5 star review because they block bad reviews.
So so
Overall, the app is very basic. You need to have it open to weigh yourself. Once it does work and you will need a few trials, it is okay and gives detailed info. However, it is limited to fat and lean, not muscle or other per-body breakdown. Band 2.0 is super basic as well, with no ability to select which hand it is. Since I wear it on my dominant one, I get extra steps for sitting in front of my computer and using the mouse and doing all extra things while sitting. It has potntial but software really needs to catch up.
Pay for your own data
Neat product but incredibly frustrating to have to pay for your own data.
One star due to what feels like deceptive user interface. In app rating would not work with 3 stars, went through immediately when I put 4… don’t love that!

Scale not working
Got this for Father’s Day. I was so excited. But I have spent days trying to get this to work. It simply won’t work
System and app not user friendly and glitchey
I had high hopes for this; unfortunately, the app is not very user-friendly, and the band itself is not either. I reached out to customer service on multiple occasions to try to get a refund and return this item, and each time I encountered pushback. At first, they offered me a percentage back, then they asked if I could give it to someone else, and finally, they told me I needed to talk to another department to see if they could fix the issue. Now, they won’t even return my email, so be wary of customer service.
Save your money, buy a good scale
I wanted this to be a great scale. It’s not!
1. It didn’t connect to WiFi - Bluetooth only to your phone. My phone and my scale are rarely together.
2. Every weigh in has to be an ordeal of correct hands and feet position and condition. Otherwise no weight taken.
So I weigh and enter weight myself into Apple health.
What a waste!
Update:
Dear Developer,
Yes it connects via Bluetooth to your phone. My point is that it doesn’t connect to WiFi therefore the phone has to be near the scale when used. Maybe if the scale could remember its readings so that the next time it connects via Bluetooth it dumps it all to the phone, then you can argue WiFi doesn’t matter.
Further, telling everyone to make sure their feet and hands are wet before using is another nail in the usability coffin. Add in the footprint that’s required so that one’s hands can hold the paddles correctly means you have to walk out of the shower to an area that’s 10 sq ft to use the scale.
So many requirements just to get weighed correctly defeats the purpose of it.

Save your money
Chances are if you came across this product it was some ad on a app you download (probably a game). And you think to yourself wow I’d love a scale that basically doubles as a dexascan… save your money! Not only is the scale an overpriced waste of space. What it claims to do it does poorly if not outright all together inaccurately. I’ve owned this thing for over 3 months and yet to get any kind of accurate reading out of it. My metabolic age dips all over the place. My body comp ratios are also widely inaccurate. I can clean and charge this thing and still readings are all over. Sometimes it doesn’t take a reading at all! They advertise how complex it is but don’t tell you it’s hidden behind a subscription service..oh and if you want a “truly accurate reading” you also need to buy their watch…please save your money. It is a scam of a product. Go look at what influencers are saying about it on YouTube.
Don’t Waste Your Money
Scale has connection issues and is often inaccurate. The band may be even worse. For example, I can't even give feedback via their app for them to make improvements because they are processing errors. Save your time and your money. Simply buy a better product.
Inconsistent to dead
I have now had the band replaced and the new band worked for a total of 5 hours. Will not pair. Scale was an issue but has been good for a month now. It took over a month to get a replacement band after they tried to test original unit. Extremely disappointed.
Terrible app don’t waste your money.
During the summer I don’t always wake up at the same time. Well the app won’t log my weight and hasn’t updated it for 20 days now. This is ridiculous and the scale V was a complete waste of money because it’s not doing anything other than an ordinary scale can do at this point. Even if I could manually add my weight it would help
Badly flawed and discount exaggerated.
Tried to buy today. Major confusion on applying discount using 50% off code. Applied 20% off continually. Finally applied 50% off but only took off 40%. Multiple attempts to create an account. Password didn’t work so pressed “forgot password” which did not send a link to my email despite trying 3 email accounts. Lost confidence during the process. Will stick to my apple ultra 1.
App is buggy, at best
Horrible app. If you switch to a new phone, your health score resets to a much lower value than previous and it takes weeks to “recalibrate.” Also after a recent update, the app reminds you to weigh yourself hours after you completed a weigh in.
Too new to tell for sure
After weighing in for 7 days, I have only one or two complete readings. There is always an error that says the connection is not good. I use a washcloth to moisten my feet and hands before stepping on the scale and have tried lotion as well. Either the scale is faulty or my body does not connect to the scale.
Avoid - check Reddit
Ignore the 5* and please read Reddit and other forums. The scale will fail to since and load and you’ll be left with a simple scale you can stand on and get weight only.
Again read Reddit and others about scale not linking with app and the headache you’ll have. They will want you to have several people get the app and you to film all of them to send to a foreign country for them to review and use in order for a warranty or “30 day money back”. So either plan to have a headache or your image and likeness including minor children sent to a business for their use how they see fit - or give up on $200.
Heck the email you send into auto forwards to another business and isn’t even humehealth.com.
Please read others frustrations and ignore the paid reviews.
***update they want to help and to call Dale in their reply here. Mind you spent the greater part of a week and a half to no avail already with them and then told I have to wait for engineering to come up with another solution to try or I can return at my expense and get a to be determined refund that they determine based on what they find.
Again, don’t walk, run away from there.

Poor Scale Connectivity
There is very poor connectivity between the scale and the app. Every time I try to weigh myself, I have to initiate a weigh-in on the scale at least 3 times before the app actually tracks the data.
Poor Bluetooth Connections
It only allows 1 person to be blue tooth connected. If you’re paired, no one else can pair to it unless you disconnect it, very inconvenient for a multi-person household. Defeats the purpose of complex health data and convenience. Easier to just have a simple scale for weight management purposes. Disappointing as I was looking forward to deep diving my health stats conveniently.
Devices suck
Their devices work 40% of the time. Not worth it
Horrible tracker
The app is not easy to understand and from what I can read on the Internet no one else can figure it out as well. It is inaccurate and only good for tracking your weight.
Frustrating
Many of the features rely on data collected during sleep. The band does not consistently record a full night’s sleep regardless of tightness or position on the wrist. That leads to incomplete data that then gets factored into all the calculations generated that indicate your health metrics.
Also, sneakily, when the App asks you to rate it, unless you give it a perfect score, it will report back that “there’s an issue, try again later”, which keeps negative reviews from accumulating.
The band and app and scale as a combo are nice, but don’t deliver the level of what they claim, and I wish that weren’t so. I’d be happy to re-review as things change, but this is where I stand after 6 month’s use.

Bluetooth needs work
The scale is fine when it connects. I’ve never seen something rely on Bluetooth to be so hard to make a connection.
I’ve been given a replacement. Though better it still is horrible.
I continue to go back to my Weight Watchers scale for easier connections.
I’ll probably use these as weights and get something better.
