Horrific customer service with horrific program
This is hands down the worst telehealth company I’ve ever dealt with. The staff is poorly trained, and every time I call I get different (and usually wrong) information. I haven’t been able to log into my account for days, and it’s nearly impossible to reach anyone who actually knows what they’re doing.
When I finally got an appointment, I sat in the virtual lobby for 45 minutes before it was canceled. Then I found out providers often don’t even join the calls. To make it worse, they call from blocked numbers, so if your phone filters those, you’ll never even get the call.
I’ve spent over two hours just trying to get a basic appointment. Absolutely horrific customer service.

Unusable app, disappointing
I’ve used this service since 2023 and while it is a super useful service that my insurance offers, it’s simply unusable. There was one version that released that meant I couldn’t even open the app. The current version doesn’t let you respond to providers proposed dates, it also doesn’t show previous providers you’ve seen, provide any of the features shown in the App Store description (despite it being offered through my insurance), doesn’t reflect the correct time or date for received messages from providers or one you send yourself. The list goes on i think the app needs a complete overhaul.

Last HY doctor
The last HY doctor or provider did not seem to be concerned about my complaints and only prescribed a nasal spray and an inhaler. Not user friendly
I have spent too much time trying to submit my appointment request. First said I was ineligible, then wouldn’t upload pictures. Also can’t get past submitting appointment with adding pictures to medical info to try to bypass the downloading. This was supposed to be the easier option and it was not.

Horrible
I use to see a therapist on this app and had to leave because the app was unusable. It would constantly crash, when I would try to schedule appointments it would give me server errors, it would sometimes show my appointment at incorrect times and sometimes it wouldn’t show them at all. It’s been over a year with these issues still persisting. Would not recommend.

Wants you to update records but won’t save
It asks if you will update medical records but every time I do it saves but won’t let me schedule an appointment because I need to update record. This has happened with my kids accounts also.

Really need to fix dropped calls
Not a great experience, Dr was having phone issues I guess, the call dropped, and then no call back or anything. Should have a way to reconnect or something in that instance. Now I cannot even start new visit, bc that one is still open. So I am stuck without care or an option to continue. You should work to fix this.

Horrible app great doctors
The app is buggy and crashes frequently. You are unable to view appointments half the time and will get kicked from the app mid appointment or never get to join altogether. WHEN the app is actually working, the providers are wonderful. The IT and support department have much to improve. They are not helpful or responsive in troubleshooting their poorly designed app. If you have an option I strongly recommend paying for a different telehealth service.
Updating my review as of 02/2025: application and website are still utter garbage. App crashing won’t fix the error that continues to cause a session expiration. Even after deleting and re downloading the app, still crashes moments within logging in due to “session expiration”. Cannot view health information to edit or view messages by health care providers. Can’t say I’m suprised anymore given that this is a product for United Healthcare. Profit over people, buisness as usual. Why would they care if any of the paying customers can use their product or not? If we use it that cuts into their profit margins.

Dismissive Doctor
My experience was less than pleasant and my doctor was incredibly rude and curt with me. Apparently I have not felt bad for long enough (10 days?!?!) to get an antibiotic. Hopefully when I call back, because my symptoms are typical sinus infection, I will get a doctor that is not completely dismissive.

I felt the doctor was rude and insensitive
I scheduled a call today and upon telling my doctor what was wrong with me. I was met with questions and I felt as if she were accusing me of Doctor shopping. I am not a doctor so I started with what I felt was important so I listed more of the symptoms because it’s always better to know more than less information. I was getting confused with what she was asking me. I am at work so tried to be open but discreet. I know something is wrong and cannot afford to take off work to go to the hospital nor do I have the funds. I told her I just went to the doctor and was checked out Dec 26, 2024 and nothing was wrong this is something new. Upon our conversation it turned left because she said that basically she was confused and I needed to see someone in person in which I replied can I just go back in the queue to speak to someone else not to Doctor shopping but to see if there were anyone else that could help me. I guess she was offended and I was told I was being discontinued as a patient.

Bad UI and unable to login

Worst user experience ever
This deserves zero stars. The app is glitchy and I have to delete and reinstall every time I use it. When I finally get it back to semi-usable form, the option to meet with a doctor offers only one choice for who is meeting with the doctor even though I have 3 people registered with my account. There is no way to select my child as the patient. On the confirmation screen, it requests that you review the information but doesn’t give you a chance to make any edits if there are errors. The last time I used the app, the “doctor” shamed me for eating cheese and said that likely caused by stomach issues then gave me mixed messages about my condition - basically guessing that it was food poisoning even though I was exposed to a stomach virus. Terrible services on a horrible app. Thanks for wasting my time!

Terrible Provider
I have used HY many times with no issues however this provider was extremely rude. She cut me off multiple times, lacked empathy for my medical concerns, spoke over me throughout the call, and hung up on me at the end of our call while I was expressing my concerns. As someone who works as a provider in healthcare, I was appalled by the poor care I received and her constant need to invalidate my concerns. It’s one thing to calmly inform a patient the care requested is out of your scope of practice. It’s another to be condescending and lack compassion for a patient. Please let this provider know that she needs to be careful with how she speaks with and cares for her patients.

Inconsistent Providers
This doctor provided no help at all. It’s ridiculous that my husband calls the day before with the same symptoms and receives an antibiotic and I’m told to go to the dr or just offered a cough suppressant. He’s already feeling better but I get no care. The inconsistency among your providers is ridiculous. Quality of care should remain the same to all patients. The doctor even said “it’s our policy not to diagnose.” Then why did the other dr diagnose and prescribe an antibiotic. What is the point of this service?

Application issues
The application did not work well on my iPad trying to fill in history. The website on my desktop kept crashing in spectacular fashion. The doctors with Teladoc have always been great however. Hopefully when I can access them through this app I’ll have the same experience.
