Too many ads
Every time I click something there is a pop up . Shameful for a govt website app to do this

Pathetic app. Ads so long and intrusive that they are trying to shove their ad fee app down your throat. Without trying the app I can’t evaluate if I should spend money.

I am an NRI created an account but it’s does not register US phone number although it will allow you to create an account. What the hell will you do with account when you can not book or make reservations. All our systems are Goverment or private are just useless I know we Indians claims our expertise in all online applications but as users there are so many errors NO one keep track or do something about this

Installed the app and tried to check train live status but the adds never stop. So I have to give this rating & review and uninstall the app.
Entire password system stinks
Password update requires. Never able to validate account. Many people have had this problem. Unfortunately for such an important app there is no update. It’s a shame.

Why can’t government of India provide a simple, user friendly app free of ads? Is the government so poor that they revenue out of these pesky ads? How money are you really making out of these ads? Or is it feeding some minister’s son’s or relative’s business?
User Experience is bad. E.g. it’s tough to figure out how to book a ticket. One eventually one finds out how, when one clicks on “book” it take you to Apple App Store link for a third party app or a game app. Really? Govt. of India needs to collect this click ad revenue and can’t provide simple, user friendly booking experience? I’m deleting this app.

Worthless app, constantly shows advertisements
IRCTC can’t afford to hire professional programmers to develop functional apps?
App not user friendly and does not appear secure
The app does not have login. App does not appear secure. For booking / cancellation it takes you to a third party site, as authorized agent.
Appears dubious in the info security world.
Why can’t Indian Railways provide their own secure app to give confidence to the traveling public / users.
Why go cheap to charge Rs. 399 to go adds free.
Sorry to say, Indian Railways modernization and consumer / user friendly is left far behind.

Not functional
This app and web is waste of time. I click to not agree and it confirmed my booking. Anything I click it lands me on disha. It asks for loging every 2minutes.
Difficult for NRI to register and book tickets
I downloaded the app and tried to check train status.
1) Adds keep popping up and never lets you use it. Is this an official app of IRCTC? If I’m a paying customer then why do you allow advertising and commercials?
2) as an NRI with a foreign passport it is very hard to register and book tickets. Rather I had to ask my relatives to book it for me.

Worst app ever, every single time when I try to cancel the ticket it’s giving me an error unable to process. Tried reaching to customer care who are not available on weekend, my train is on weekend and our plans changed on Friday unable to cancel 5tickets total of 4.5k. Everything is working fine except the cancel ticket button, it happened couple of months back as well it looks like they never fixed it on purpose.

As it required phone number when you enter Overseas number still does not recognize and keep coming back to log in screen.

Very poor app
I would like to give 0 star, but there is no option for it. This is very poorly built app. It never worked for me. Not on mobile data and not over wifi with high speed. Not sure what’s wrong with my app version. I am using ios 15.6.1 on iPhone 12 pro Max.

I was booking a train ticket , money was charged from my account but ticket is not booked, app does not show any bookings. There is no way to contact the app support.

New users wont be registered. Its just a means by govt to make sure lobbying by private companies like MMT works! Scam govt

The app is asking me if I want to set up travel reminders, and wants access to my calender. There isn’t an option to say no. How stupid.

Does not work for foreigners
Must have local India phone number to work. No ability to send tickets to outside phones.
“ADHIDHI DEVO BHAVA”
How can foreigners travel whose major dollar credit cards are not accepted. IRCTC has to think Big instead of being petty.

There is no option where it can log on with irctc id. It is asking for India’s phone no when trying to make reservation. Deleting this useless app.
IRCTC app doesn’t help for reservation
I was trying to book railway tickets for Jan 2020 to Mumbai from Ahmedabad (21st Nov2019). The site displayed no train for available reservation. The same time I asked an agent to book for a specific train and he could get it in minutes.
I can’t understand how this could be possible unless some corrupt officers jamming the system for common men.

Saw on multiple instances the live train status is incorrect. Highly misleading app. Avoid.
