Amazing that function still works on their side.

Slow loading app
I don’t want AI. I want a quicker loading app. This app is over engineered for current smart phones and takes forever to load.
Missing Vendors/Customers
Expenses have gone down the toilet. I only see vendors and customers A-C..D-Z have vanished, so I cannot enter my expenses accurately. Everyone is complaining about this issue and it’s still not fixed.
Frustrating
Takes forever for the app to load. Then when I’m trying to create invoices and send them the app is freezing. I’ve spent 10 minutes trying to send two invoices. Completely ridiculous.
Awful operating app
This is by far one of the worst apps that you can possibly have. This app used to work flawlessly on the old platform, but they have since updated the app several times and the new update is nearly impossible to navigate through. Frozen screens. Slow. I have used QuickBooks for a very long and because of the app and how horrible it is, I am looking for a different program to use and get away from QuickBooks altogether. This is absolutely horrible what they have done to this app. I run my business remotely and on the road most of the time and I spend more time fighting this QuickBooks app than actually working. Time is money and they have cost me a lot. I can’t wait to find another program to finally be rid of QuickBooks online.

I never review apps. This app gets WORSE with every update. Won't even load on my iPhone or iPad. I am quitting my job just so I don't have to use this app anymore.

Stop changing the app
They get the app right and everything works fine, then one day it’s all messed up. Now the receipt snap doesn’t work right. Entering expenses is a pain now. Y’all didn’t make it better. You made it worse. Two months ago was better than now.
Rarely works
The app looks polished and has a lot of useful features, but the experience is incredibly unreliable. It took far longer than it should have to record a single trip because I received 13 separate “ something went wrong” error messages. When I’m on the road, I need to create a quick invoice or log mileage in seconds - not fighting with repeated errors.
The functionality is there but the stability isn’t. An app like this should be to dependable, especially for small business owners who rely on it every day. Right now it feels like it wasn’t thoroughly tested before being released.

App tracks and quits, I’ve off loaded, deleted app and reloaded Quickbooks app several times.

Has always sucked and continues to suck. Never loads. Crazy slow. Terrible UI. At this review time, the damn thing wont even open.
Horrible
Stays Crashing! This app is supposed to be convenient especially for business owners who are on the go! I deleted and downloaded the app hoping it would help with the crashing but nope, it still crashes on me as I'm doing invoices and etc.
Literally a scam don’t buy it.
They get your money then take away the feature to manually add an expense. Unless you UPGRADE. not happy with this garbage and a SCAM!!!
They just keep making it worse
They took what used to be a simple process of adding an expense with a picture of the receipt and made it unworkable. Now you have to use receipts and then wait on AI to scan your receipt and put it in a bucket for review. Then when you go to review and try to add the missing information like the vendor, you can only choose a vendor that starts with the letter A through F.

Temu Programmers
QB keeps getting worse and worse. With a $500 bill coming from them, I think it’s time I start exploring other options. After 10 years of using QB the program doesn’t get better, just worse and worse. At this point it’s barely functional. The mileage part hasn’t worked in over 5 years. iOS or Android neither works.
Categorizing expenses has become more of a chore than being easy as the program refuses to accept transactions in their PROPER type. You transfer money from one account to another and qb claims that’s an expense and not a transfer.
It’s like they’re purposely trying to hurt small businesses.
For the amount of money they charge for basic accounting software, you’d think they’d have American tech support, instead it’s AI garbage. If you do reach a human, it’s a non native English speaker where you have to try to translate what they’re saying back to English in real time making tech support largely useless

When login only has a 10% chance of working, that’s when you know it’s bad. I’m disappointed that I couldn’t give it 0 stars.

The new expense interface is very frustrating and slows down my workflow. The previous design was much cleaner and more efficient. Please give us an option to go back to the old version.

Over the past five years I probably wasted 30- 40 hours of my life waiting for this app to load. You owe me Intuit!
Rip off
This is unacceptable… I just realized when I went to categorize my purchases and my mileage that the app is just completely not working it hasn’t logged any of my mileage for the past few weeks. This is unacceptable this is $30 a month and it should work pretty much flawlessly for that kind of money. I haven’t been able to categorize my purchases for weeks as it’s not available… Absolutely insane I can’t wait to find something that’s easy to convert to of this horrible unreliable service that is overpriced!!!
Indian scams
I create the account and for a whole month it’s empty.
The minute I get money and try to use it, the bank pause my transaction and costumer service is too busy, is all Indian people. So I have to give my details over 6 times and call twice to have it fixed.
Then I receive a phone call saying it’s there and they are aware of my request to fix my transaction process and ask for details sending me 3 conformation messages.
I realized after they took over 2000 from my account. Thank God I realized they were too suspicious and called them scammers and hang out.
Now I have to wait 5 to 7 days for the bank to give my money back.
It’s just too crazy how those Indian scammers knew everything the bank and I were talking about.

Stuck at loading
My app will not load up. Its stuck at loading data. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Did not fix!!
Horrific App-Don’t Use!
Been a user of QuickBooks for 25 years and it just gets worse and worse and more and more expensive. Just tried for 30 minutes to link our bank accounts to the QB app with no luck (the app keeps losing the connection). I will be telling our bookkeeper to please find a substitute for QuickBooks - they complicate everything. And, Intuit is a horrifically unethical company.

If I could leave -5 stars I would I absolutely hate this app. my iPhone 17 pro Max screen Will time out and shut off three times before this app actually opens my company files where I can do anything! It's infuriating in 2026 that I can't just open this app it asked me to login then it asked for the face then it asked me to sign in again then it's in a loading screen forever they really gotta fix this I hate delays. If I can't make invoices on the fly then what the hell is the point of this? Not to mention they constantly increased the price year after year of this basic service and stole all of from the regular desktop app and now none of us can go back so we have to forever pay them while they can't even provide an app that loads of efficiently in 2026 what an absolute disgrace this company is. If this isn't fixed in the next two months I will be leaving this company there's plenty of other options out there nowadays
App Not Working
This app is constantly having problems signing into our account. It’s practically rendering it worthless to be on my phone.

Slow to load and slow login, very unreliable trip tracking (still), overall just needs improvements if this app is to be truly useful and functional.
Great, if you want to hate your life
Constant updates that make it worse? They've got it! Pop-up ads? You know it! Randomly changing invoices so you lose accounts? Aplenty! If you don't hate your life enough, Quickbooks is the answer. And they've gathered all of the people who hate their lives even more than you, and called them customer service. Only the BEST!

Well, they took an app that was painful to use, but at least worked for my needs, into something completely useless.
I use the app to enter in expenses while away from the office. With the previous versions, I could search for vendors, select, and then put in all the needed info for the expense. With this new version and UX, it doesn’t return and search results for vendors. Well, you can at least scroll through the list… right? Ha, nice try. Because now they don’t load up the entire list of vendors! Form me, it only goes to “H”. So if any of my vendors begin with I-Z, it’s game over man. I had to pull out my laptop today at 5 out of 8 stops just to put in expenses.

Hot pile of garbage
Since QuickBooks is a virtual monopol, Intuit has absolutely no incentive to improve its functionality. In fact, they seem to randomly update because they feel like they should? and the new features regularly break any functionality that it had.
Application keeps requiring a sign in
Regardless of the sign in settings, this application signs me out repeatedly in the middle of a transaction. If it’s not one thing, it’s another with this program.

I tried to download and re-download multiple times and my login is correct and the app still won’t open my account. It keeps saying there was an issue fetching your data. Until I can actually use the app it’s 1 star for me.
Mileage tracking nightmare
All settings are set, correct according to QuickBooks silent logout are probably the main problem, but the app for the last few months has not been tracking accurately and for the last few weeks, not at all! Now I must go in and reconstruct everything from Google timeline and everything else I don’t know why anyone with all the problems it creates.
That Didn’t Work…
This app could be good. More than half of the time I draft an invoice on my phone I receive and error message, “That Didn’t Work…” and my invoice is not saved and everything is deleted. I don’t have time to deal with this when I’m working in the field… also, the ai stuff is not something I want. I don’t want to pay extra for this “improvement”. I just want something basic. Something very simple. I’m about ready to just do a spreadsheet and call it good. Please give me a stripped down option for something simple. Thanks.
Standard Quickbooks team
I used to beta test for QuickBooks and my biggest complaint was that you guys kept trying to add new features that nobody asked for and that made the program clunky. I have been using this app for a long time now and every time you guys add a feature it makes the app unusable. Congratulations you have finally reached the point where it literally is not useable. It did not load for days so I deleted and reinstalled. Then data did not load and I couldn’t do anything. I deleted again and now it won’t load.
Epic failure guys. Maybe go back like 10 builds and remove your worthless extra features nobody asked for on an app. Or create a light version.

Expect FREQUENT app glitches and long wait times for customer support without issue resolution.
The app is good when it works, however it has issues more often than any app I’ve ever used. Two features I use most are the mileage tracking and the direct transaction pull from bank/credit card accounts. Unfortunately, these are the features that seem to have the most issues. I have come to expect missed trip tracking (using auto tracking) on the mileage tracker as it will work fine 75% of the time, but then randomly miss an entire day of tracking, and be fine again the next day.
Most recently, I have been unable to view pending financial transactions (to review and post) on some, but not all, accounts, but only in the app. When I log into QBO using a browser, on either my phone or PC, they appear as they should. I called customer support to work through the error message I had been receiving for several weeks “We're having trouble loading Transactions.
Please try again later.” After 10 minutes of holding I was able to connect with a human who, after another 10-15 minutes, determined they needed to escalate the issue to a “tier 2” representative, who after another 10-15 minutes, decided the issue needed to be escalated to “tier 3”. After waiting on the line with the tier 2 rep for another 40-50 minutes to move up queue for a tier 3 rep, I had to step into a client meeting and asked if there was a way to continuing moving the issue resolution forward without my being on the line, or if it was possible for me to resume the call after my client meeting? The agent explained that it was not possible and I would need to call back and start at the beginning.
Super frustrating after spending that amount of time on the line. Hopefully the developers will figure out how to address the reliability issues, especially since the tech support process is equally disappointing.

App has terrible load times. Consistently displays wrong information. Forget about trying to use it to cash checks. I get zero benefit out of having the mobile app. Completely worthless.

Glitchy
This app is not loading pending bank transactions. Bank connection says its fine and I deleted and reinstalled the app. Ever since you went on an AI tear changing the all its been glitchy as hell
Now Non-Functional
As I’ve previously written, QuickBooks Desktop was historically a slow, klunky, poorly written application that unfortunately was extended to the Online version. It is by far the most unreliable application on the App Store. While it used to load, and I could perform very basic tasks, now the app just hangs at “Loading Company.” It’s amazing it shows as many stars as it does on this platform because it is not usable for any sort of serious accounting work on the go.
