I did the free trial and cancelled almost immediately because there was no way i was going to pay 7.99 for a week. despite it being cancelled the app charged me? it charged my card april 3 and it says my subscription ends april 7. so you charge me $7.99 for something to last 4 days when i had already cancelled it?? just taking my money when the pictures don’t even end up like how they advertise 😐

Me personally I just don’t think the app is worth making people pay for in the end. I get y’all do a free trial before an app like this it should be free maybe certain filters and options should cost money, but the app itself should be free. We shouldn’t have to do a free trial or nothing. We should be able to just use the app.

You have to pay for this app? $7.99 A WEEK! That’s so ridiculous, this app is literally just filters I’ve found on other apps FOR FREE! But if you are considering downloading this app after reading this comment, save your time. It’s really not worth it. There’s other ways for companies to incorporate ways to get people to make purchases but to just simply use the app is just not cool at all.

It kept charging my account even though I was not using it, there’s not a lot to do in the app it’s lowkey boring not a lot to choose from, and the AI Edits are really bad.

Why it’s horrible? I just download this app just for me to buy and remove the 8 hour limit makes no sense. it’s a grain vintage picture effects any camera app would’ve let you use it for free. Until then horrible app it sucks.

The app itself isn’t as innovative and prestigious as everyone who was paid to review it says. You can absolutely download VSCO, CapCut, or buy a digital camera for $30-150 (which will end up being 1/4 of the subscription for a year) and add an Instagram filter and get the same effect as this “app” supposedly has. On top of it being a money grab for them, their replies to reviews is going to run their business straight into the ground. Download numbers sounds great, briefs well. When you have to show your investors and stockholders your turnover rates and honest customer reviews, you’ll sincerely regret being un-empathetic (which is one of the first things you learn as an entrepreneur, ALWAYS EMPATHIZE WITH CUSTOMERS). If you do a free trial and it takes your money, please dispute with your bank; this sorry excuse for an app is a loss cause. Your business will be perishable and hold no value within a year, be very meticulous about the hands you slap, as they are the hands that replenish you.

They got rid of the quick cam option
Before they got rid of the quick cam option I would’ve said the app was a four stars but I just can’t get with the fact they took it away, all the other camera setting look basic and don’t look as good as the quick cam setting did. If I’m going to pay for a subscription I would at least want to have the features that I want, Total shame.

Firstly, you open the app and immediately get taken to payment options, the ad says that is free and doesn’t show any payment options or histories, however it does on the app. Secondly, there are better apps like OldReel that give it to you for free and you can choose whatever cameras you want, it’s the best. This app is not worth the waste, don’t buy the app.💔😭

I saw the ads for this on TikTok and it looked great. As soon as I downloaded I hit a paywall at 7.99 A WEEK!!!! We aren’t even gonna talk about how deceptive the ads are and how deceptive the general concept of making the app free to download when in actuality it isn’t free to use with a subscription for more features. They do this so they can boost their download numbers so they can be shown more on the App Store. 32 dollars a month for what is essentially just some filters is ABSOLUTELY INSANE. That is almost 400 dollars a year. These practices aren’t just money hungry. They are exploitative. If you are considering an app like this don’t. It’s a gimmick, money hungry, unethical excuse for an app that was more than likely made with the intention of making quick money from people who forget to cancel after the feee trial. STUPID!

How do I get a refund??
UPDATE: I have reached out by email 3 times and social media twice and have yet to receive a response on my refund. I have reached out to the App Store multiple times. This is the first time in my life that I haven’t gotten a refund for a free trial, one that only lasts 24 hours at that.

A one day free trial is really misleading. It does not give you the time to cancel your subscription, and I never got a notification either. I barely edited maybe 5-6 pictures with this app before I deleted it and made a mental note to end my free trial in a day or two. $7.99 is a lot of money to be taking away from people when they’re not happy with the service provided, especially if you’re wanting to build loyal customers. Bad business. The filters aren’t that good either tbh.

There is no point of us paying $7.99 a week to take pictures that other apps allow. The quality is alright but that does not make an excuse to rob us for taking pictures. Overall the app is pretty much the same as every other Polaroid/old filter app.

I thought the filters were beautiful when I saw the ad online but once I tried the app it didn’t show how much the ‘subscription’ until the Apple Pay screen came up at that point I thought 8 bucks was ridiculous. Then, once I declined it offered a trial of 1 month for 2 bucks which isn’t bad but at that point I was like nope. After that the weekly subscription price went from the original 8 to 4 dollars. How is that not a scam? And trying the filters honestly they’re very limiting and nothing other apps don’t offer for free or way cheaper

I could literally just buy an old camera with how much they charge per week, 7.99 per week and that’s mandatory if you want to use the app. They give you a 3 day free trial and it ain’t worth forgetting you have it and losing 8 dollars a week.

The app itself i’d give a 3. You can practically get the same effect on snapchat but then again you cannot truly get a nice “2000’s” look on iPhone.
THE MAIN downside is the astronomically horrendous payment plan at $8 per week which comes out to a whopping $412 dollars per year. Considering the amount of situations you’d want to take a photo with a “2000’s” feel, this app should be free.
