Missing major airlines in search
Unless you are paying attention, you don’t realize the results are not complete. Missing major airlines like American. Makes this app not very useful.
Car rental scam
The car rental section of this app is a joke. It shows you several options, only for them to be unavailable or a higher price when you go to book. A new search shows the same options it just said were unavailable ready to trick you again. Waste of time.
Stopped showing seat pitch
Kayak sucks now that they don’t show what kind of airline seat you get. I’m leaving. Bye

Irresponsible
I had a booking from kayak, my flight got cancelled at doha months ago, never contacted me for rebooking. I sent multiple emails to check the issue, no response
Not real help
Kayak is searching for best price but that is often fake. Links to other sides offering fare often do not work or fares are fake. The worst is VheapOAir that advertise prices that are not real and charge customers for everything. The advertising price is often with luggage which disappear on CheapOAir and has to be purchased again. Kayak should be ashamed of their bad service and should never be used.

There should be a cancellation sub menu I shouldn’t have to go to another website to cancel a room.
Annoying and frustrating
I do not like this app. After searching for flights, filters on things like duration often don’t work. Search results with flexible dates do not display clearly so I can’t sort results by the dates of the flights.
Update - the app sends me notifications for price changes even though I have all notifications turned off. I continue to get notifications even after I deleted the entire trip and all saved flights.

Prices not honest
Rental car company was more than twice the price quoted by Kayak.
All emails in Korean
I’d love to use this app, but they insist on sending me emails in Korean (Hangul). It’s useless getting emails in a language I don’t speak. UPDATE: They said I had picked Korean. It was English. They sent me another email so I deleted my account. Good luck!
Bait and Switch
You think you’re booking with a reputable site but they use a lot of third-party hookers and I’ve had nothing but problems with them. Right now I’m stuck in Italy without a ticket even though I paid for one and every time I call their third-party vendor they keep hanging up.. They don’t want to fix the problem they would rather me miss my flight and then have to pay them a fee again and this is 100% their fault. I flew from San Francisco to Rome and because of weather in New York, the first leg of my flight was delayed 12 hours, causing me to miss the flight from New York to Rome. That part is nobody’s fault that’s just the weather. But when it was a time for me to return and fly from Rome to San Francisco, they canceled my first leg because they thought that I never made the first flight from New York to Rome. I caught the problem five days before my flight and was told for the first four days that it would be “fixed by tomorrow”. Now that it’s time for me to fly every time I call this third-party vendor they hear the entire story, place me on hold, and then the phone mysteriously disconnects. Just booked with an airline directly, and your life will be easier!
New UX makes this unusable
Kayak’s design team jumped the shark and prioritized slickness over usability. The app is unusable if you want to find a flight.
Misleading and unapologetic
I thought I had booked a flight on Kayak, to only realize it was redirected to some company called Underpricer that has a reputation of being a terrible service but at that point I was locked into my flight. When it was cancelled by the airline, I was never given the option to be refunded by Kayak, Underpricer, or British Airways. Instead the booked me on a different flight with an additional layover, eliminating solid chunk of my vacation with my family. I reached out to Kayak to express my frustration with them for them to tell me it was not their fault, they’re a search engine, and Underpricer is who to contact. Even though it blatantly said check out on Kayak.com. Terrible app, terrible customer service. I will be promptly deleting this app.

I booked my flight through your app and it’s not showing up. You keep sending me emails to book it.
App resets too soon
App resets whenever I go to another app and come back. Have to redo my search every time. Addresses cannot be copied and pasted into Google Maps
The system will jump wrong data
When the order the ticket the system will give wrong date automatically. It is happening couple time again
App needs fixing.
Too many bugs and crashes. The deals don’t load or if they do it says they can’t process or that it has expired. When I tried to give feedback with a screenshot, it crashed.
Cannot compete booking at this time
Spent over an hour researching optimal flights and inputting all kinds of frequent flyer information and everything else only to get an error at the end of the process. Horrible.

Found flights on Kayak, Kayak redirected me to BusinessClass.com to book the flights. I successfully booked tickets and then received an email saying my tickets had increased. Total Scam!!!

Fraud!
I will never use Kayak again and recommend that no one else does either. I helped a friend with booking a flight. Kayak took money out of his account, but then did not pay the airline. So, my friend’s money was tied up for 3 days, the reservation was canceled for nonpayment, and he lost the opportunity for that flight. There’s no way to reach a human at Kayak. Researching shows that there are a lot of complaints against Kayak for fraud. Kayak responded, saying that they redirected to someone else. If that is the case, Kayak intentionally enables fraud because that website looked like Delta airlines , but was not Delta airlines.
Terrible version
I used this app religiously until the most recent update. You can’t delete a destination city if you change your mind. It keeps reoccurring and getting added to all previous destination cities.It’s time consuming,messy and nearly impossible to navigate. Terrible update.

How can kayak have an app but u call there no one to answer the phone I didn’t want not refund post to another day, but you couldn’t even speak to no one on the phone n that’s bad service maybe much better when you can talk to someone on the phone
Synced trip summary gone
Synced trips was my favorite feature, and I looked forward to the end of year summary every year but for some unknown reason it's no longer syncing with my Gmail, impossible to get ahold of anyone, and as muchbas i travel impossible to try and forward all booking emails. So disappointed

I try to book ticket from just fly and each 30 second increase price, try 3 times. Same thing. So fraud going on in this.

This app is hot garbage. It’s designed to jack up rates with dynamic pricing…just ask Grok. Watch as low prices disappear when you search a second time for the same flight. You have to use incognito to get around the scam. Deleting this junk.

It’s pathetic
The creators are like most today. Greedy and lazy. I am trying to book a room in Costa Rica but the choice are in two languages, app offers no choice of languages, offers no filters like bed size or Air Conditioning. It’s just the least they can get away with for the smallest investment. I guess when most of your money goes to dishonest TV commercials nothing is left to make your app work.
Doesn’t do what you ordered.
I ordered premium economy, yet the app still booked main cabin. I put in sky miles number and hotel rewards and it never awarded me any points or rewards. This app will trick you into thinking you’re getting what you want, then do the old bait and switch on you.

Explore Doesn’t Work
I was baited from an ad on Instagram. I liked the explore feature, but I would set my budget and it would show options on the map… but wouldn’t show the actual flights that matched the price shown. They were all 500+ more. I tried several other destinations and the same thing. Bye Kayak… I deleted your app. Fix your app.
Very confusing interface
Very confusing interface. The desktop version is no better. I am forced into using else I would not.
Huge downgrade
So far this app is a huge disappointment compared to the last business travel app I was using. The user experience is clumsy. For example, I have to choose the class of service before searching for flights. I need the flexibility to price compare across different classes of service. The push notifications are redundant and unhelpful since turned them all off. I have been traveling for work since 1995. I am very used to booking my own travel. To get the features and flexibility I want, I have to go to Google Flights, figure out my itinerary, then go to the Kayak app to input the details, or when that doesn’t work ask my admin to get on the phone to complete the booking. Terrible.
