Unhappy with app
I’ve used this app for a few years now. Recently had to pay twice when they changed the subscription and now the app never wants to load to pull up my passwords. I would’ve cancelled my subscription and moved all my passwords to apple’s password manager if that had worked properly. I feel I pay too much for a too little+ a janky app

This app just gets worse with each release
I’m paying almost $50/year now for this app, and the performance just gets worse and worse. Multiple times now, I’ve attempted to access my passwords in airplane mode while on long 10+ hour flights. I’m then prompted to enter my master password, which I don’t have access to since I’m offline. I have offline options enabled, stay logged in, Touch ID, etc.
I NEVER had this issue a year or so ago. If it continues to happen, I’m dumping this app.

Dumbest app ever
Worst app ever that says wifi or data needed even though I have good wifi and data
KEEPER IS LOUSY AT SYNCING DEVICES
I can’t sync my phones to the online acct. And now when I’m asked to refresh login it’s not accepting the password. I’m so fed up!

I really wanted to like Keeper Password Manager, but my experience was frustrating enough that I’m uninstalling.
I got locked out of my brand new computer because my password was stored in Keeper, and somehow my Apple autofill passwords synced across accounts-including Keeper-which made things even more confusing. I normally rely on Face ID to log in, but once that stopped working, I was completely stuck.
I reached out to support hoping for a recovery option, but the only solution offered was to delete my account. That wasn’t realistic for me since I actually needed access to my saved passwords. I was also told I couldn’t reset my account without a recovery phrase that Keeper generated-something I don’t remember ever clearly saving or being guided through in a way that felt secure or user-friendly.
For an app that’s meant to protect access to your digital life, there should be a more practical and user-centered recovery process. Getting permanently locked out without a reasonable recovery path defeats the purpose.
Unfortunately, because of this experience, I’ll be uninstalling and looking for a password manager with better recovery options and clearer onboarding.

I love this app but it says I need to renew and pay all the time and I am now having over charging issues I’m trying to get through
Money Hungry
I’ve had this app forever it seems like, and I used to pay $14.99 annually for many, many years! Last year (2025) they increased the price to $39.99, and now they want to increase it again?! I’m about to cut ties with Password Keeper. The passwords app on iPhone works just as well and gives the option to add notes, codes, passkeys, and share with family. So why am I going to continue to pay for an app that is again increasing their price, when I can use the password app for free across all of my devices; iPhone, iPad, iMac, and MacBook.

Good app, very annoying pop-ups
So annoying that I’m taking the time to write a review. The pop-ups to upgrade my subscription are so annoying that I am actually deleting the app. They’ve driven me nuts for too long.
Over priced
I like this app and used it a lot. For $10 it was a great value. $20 it was still worth it. $30 was starting to get too high. The current price is absurd and I haven’t renewed since. I’ve found a replacement and will be migrating all my data over there.
Even when you cancel they charge you
I was held hostage a year ago by this company. Used them for years for free and then all of a sudden I needed a subscription to access a PW I needed. I reluctantly subscribed bc I needed that PW at that moment.
Fast forward a year later after i immediately cancelled my subscription and they changed me for a full year without my knowledge. Impossible to get a hon for a human rk get this charged back. STAY AWAY

KEEPER PASSWORD
Sucks i have inter net and the stupid app keeps trying to say i don’t. so Stupid
Huge rate increase, no notice to customers.
I have been a customer for many years and have always been very happy with how the app functions. However, their price recently increased by a huge amount and there was no notice before the automatic payment was processed. As there is a strict no refund policy, I have no recourse. Very poor business practices.
RECOVERY PHRASE FOR NEW PHONE
I got a new phone and obviously have been running into walls left and right as I get back into various accounts
The whole point of this app is to make moments like this easier, but instead I’m asked for a “recovery phrase?” What a weird prompt and who in their right mind is going to recall a random phrase from years ago that has no guardrail or hints?!?! This is absolutely ridiculous given how much I pay for this app and how hard it is to use !

Shady and frustrating cancellation process
Extremely frustrating experience. I tried multiple times to cancel my family plan online, only to find out there is absolutely no way to do it through your account dashboard. You are forced to jump through hoops and submit a support ticket just to stop the auto-renewal. Deliberately making it this difficult to cancel to trap users into paying for another year is deceptive. Think twice before subscribing!
166% price increase?!
I’ve been a user of this app for YEARS (maybe 10+ years) I have been happy to pay the subscription fee as it’s gone up incrementally over the years. I’ve been paying $14.99/year for at least the last 5 years or so. The subscription fee for this year jumps to $39.99!!! That’s a 166% increase! That is outrageous, and really crazy for those of us who have been subscribed users for a long time. I will not be renewing my subscription and will be looking for another app to use instead.
Greedy
Takes over LOTS of file types like PDFs and PNGs. The result is these types of files are rendered useless, at least on an iphone. Other password managers are not so draconian. This app is antisocial and should disappear.
Horrible support, glitchy app, built in the 90s
Honestly no idea where all the 5 star reviews are coming from.
1/ Support is nonexistent - takes forever uses extremely weird communication channel via email threads you can’t reply to, issues remain and resolved for weeks and auto-close randomly. completely unacceptable and we are on an enterprise plan
2/ the mobile app is glitchy borderline does not fetch credentials on most of the websites just keeps on hanging
3/ the website was built in the 90s loads forever, not use a friend friendly and not intuitive

Don’t get started
I have used this one for years and have tried to switch because their price keeps going up and up now it’s 50 bucks a year. Seems crazy for a password keeper. They make it virtually impossible to switch. Don’t get started.
Can’t do the price any longer!
This has been a great app, I used it for 4 years. However they keep raising the price of it. I started out paying $80 per year and that was the cheapest route, but I’m not paying $91 per year for this. I’ll find something cheaper. Shame… I liked it.
New updates take forever
What’s going on, Keeper? Every time (!) I open the app by itself now (not from within a password need), I get this thing where it is „optimizing“. The screenshot is from a time where it had been „optimizing “ for over 6 minutes. And it’s still going. This is not ok! Optimize in the background. I cannot edit/access anything!
You’ll need to pay eventually
It’s free for the first 10ish records, then after that you are prompted on every move you make on the app to upgrade to a $40something dollar plan. You can’t even edit your old records if you changed a password. How are you gonna tell me I can’t change my records?
Annoying in-app ads for addons, harassment for ratings and key based authentication never works.
The only reason I keep using this trash is momentum; migration out of this ecosystem is unavailable.
