The subscription should be only for wanting to view stored footage or for upgraded features. There shouldn’t be any forced subscriptions just for people to view their own cameras. 1/10 would not recommend

Loved it when first purchased. 2 years later, not worth it.
When I first purchased my camera from this company, I loved it so much! They offered me another device from my first review and I bought two more products. Over the last two years, things have changed and I can now no longer even VIEW my live feed from my camera without subscription. Having multiple devices it’s over $40 per month or per year. When I first purchased you had live feed, could move camera view, snap photos even see 10 second recordings for FREE. More amazing options on all devices for only $40-$60 a month. I now have to buy a subscription to even have live feed views. My backyard camera is a lightbulb one, I cannot even adjust the view anymore. Haven’t been able to in over a year since the changes. I cannot even adjust it for anything. When I click the icon for backyard camera, it brings me to subscriptions first. I have an SD card, in each device even. I cannot view anything unless subscriptions are paid. The only views I get is prior to this new thing, I have motion detection at every movement so I get snapshots to my lock screen every movement. That’s how I use my cameras. I have other devices in my home I do not pay subscriptions for, just use an SD card and have access to all features without a subscription, and I am looking at replacing these two devices with devices from that company. Whoever changed this definitely changed my mind and lost my business. I would 100% purchase a different device. IF this company would go back to having the free services like live view and even just simply being able to adjust the devices without a subscription, I would keep them. But they’re virtually useless now. I’m not happy with them. They have good clear view both day and night, catch all movement and work great. But worthless when I can’t view or do anything with them.
Inaccurate recording & constantly removed motion detection
I paid annual subscription for this app but it’s a failed service. I’ve set the cameras to detect human but every little car movement or object blown by the wind, it records it and forced stop detection when reaching 100 videos. Thus, it couldn’t record any actual human footage when detection was close automatically. And then the records videos keeps on disappearing when needed even though it said that it’s keep for 30 days. Also, it doesn’t display all cameras actively at once. Keep on slowly loading each camera when selected. I cancelled the subscription after all these issues.

Plan is way too expensive for a video doorbell that said it was free to connect to Wi-Fi and view live feeds. This is not true. The camera does not supply what you need. You have to buy a SIM card or you have to buy a subscription which is expensive, not worth it. The picture of view is always foggy or shady. You can’t zoom in into a person’s face while it’s live, you can’t zoom in at all wise live like yeah I don’t like it. I’m doing when it’s dark at night. You only see gray and white. It does not show in color like it supposed to.
Company cunaged
The company changed and instead of allowing the free minimal paying service they started raising the prices and demanding you subscribe to use the camera. The camera often lags, and the app is janky. I emailed twice about receiving help and didn’t get a single response from service. Absolutely horrible customer service. If you’re going to raise your prices at least improve the quality, and respond to your customers. Tired of letting services WE PAY for mis treat us.

Bait and switch
Avoid at all cost. So many better options. Yes, the device was cheap on amazon when i purchased it, and originally the app (Aiwit) allowed for live view. Now that the name of the app has chaged live view is no longer available without a subscription. I don’t want a subscription to anything else. I don’t like subscription services.

The company promised to replace doorbell camera and never did. The battery dies weekly and the service is horrible.

Can’t get video unless you’re subscribed, but when subscribed, it stopped working when I upgraded my home internet. Useless now.
Rip off
For every Camera u have to have a separate plan that’s so stupid and greedy for money. If u get Xfinity home security it’s one payment. Who will pay for one home multiple subscription, that’s not right it’s a rip off. It should be a certain amount of cameras one set price.

I’ve had this doorbell since 2024 and on April 17th ,2026 my doorbell went offline for no reason today is now April 21, 2026 I have a subscription and all I’ve talked to chat support and still not resolved
Update it’s June 2 my doorbell camera is online but the videos are loading entirely slow and also when someone rings the doorbell by the time it loads the person is gone

I have tried many times to get customer service and was unable to because I had questions about my service and no one ever responded. I have also tried contacting them it just rings and cuts off no response ever

I signed up for a 3 day FREE trial and cancelled my subscription before the 3 days were up and they are still trying to charge my card for a full year. I reached out to customer support and they have not responded to my inquiry.
Pay for what you get I guess
This system changes companies it seems like every two months. The camera doesn’t catch fast action( I have teens who zoom in and out) and it’ll miss it. Delayed microphone when conversing through the camera but I guess for $30 a year for subscription you get what you pay for right?

works well but what’s the point if it constantly logs you out and deletes all footage?
the app constantly logs you out for “inactivity” (for not opening the app in a while). when it logs you out, it deletes all of your footage. it gives no warnings that it’s about to log you out. this is frustrating because if you don’t have people coming to your door constantly, then you have no reason to open the app, especially because it tells you through a notification that someone is at your door so you don’t have to open the app every time. However, on the rate occasion that someone steals a package, tries to come in your door, etc. and you need to check the footage to see who it was, it’s useless because the app will have logged you out and deleted the footage already, so it won’t be accessible. so what’s the point of recording??
Multiple subscriptions
I’ve purchased three cameras from here. They work relatively well but the problem is I already have a subscription for one camera don’t understand why I’m being asked to pay for all three. I’ve tried to contact customer support through the app and through email and haven’t received a response from either.
Login issues
I keep getting logged out and that’s not cool. I should be able to open the app and view my camera at all times. I works for a few days then logs you out
