App is years behind
Very outdated and pointless. Only thing that pops up is to review your visit if you have to have it to scan in to enter every time since your scan in QR code changes daily, you would think they will allow you to add it to your wallet and automatically pop up when you arrive like other facilities
Apps as convenience, not necessity
A well designed application should exist as a convenience, not a necessity. Why are you forcing me to bring my smartphone to the gym? I’ve been trying to hop on the dumb phone bandwagon, but this app is a huge hurdle for me, forcing me to own a smartphone. Ironic that my gym membership is standing in the way of me bettering myself. At least give us the /option/ to get a physical key tag
Useless information
This has no where to find gym open times. There are so many unnecessary tabs with useless information. The main information is no where to be found, daily times and child care times. Holiday times etc. Useless

Have you heard of notification fatigue?
I LOVE endlessly digging through your app looking for the elusive thing to clear the pointless notification badge on your app icon. I give this app 1,000 paper cuts, no notes.

Im giving a low review because I joined just over a month ago and the pool and spa have been closed for “maintenance” at the two locations I frequent since I joined. I think it’s unreasonable to charge members the same rate every month when the amenities they offer are not available for extended periods of time.

Needs an update
I continue to have issues booking my reform classes.
No reason to go to LA FIT anymore
They decided to take out the courts in my area and the gyms themselves aren’t worth the 55 I was paying to workout AND play basketball.

So when I change my phone or reset my phone login info not enough to get membership card activated , need to go through club front desk to get mobile card activated, and some of employees don’t know how to do it

They do not let you cancel anything on the app, it’s incredibly slow and wired to be difficult should you ever wish to cancel anything.

Chose not allow to follow the website info and the app froze
First time joining the club and just paid for the membership. Downloaded the app for sign in and the app is just frozen after 10 times back and force close and open it. Deleted the app and downloaded it back, once you choose not to let the app gather your website, company information, the app froze.

At some point in the past few months, the app started to always show that there are no classes at all, of any kind, at any LA Fitness in the Atlanta area, which is obviously not correct. I figured that would get fixed in the next version, but it never did…

Worst Gym App Ever
The app is buggy, ugly, counterintuitive, and essentially useless. The member QR code for signing in at the gym doesn’t load 25% of the time. And god forbid you get a new phone! You have to create a whole new account and link your barcode ID with the help of the people at the front desk. I now have 3 accounts setup through the app, none of which actually work. The only other semi-useful information in the app are the club times, which you can get from Apple Maps. Go back to the drawing board LA Fitness and hire a new developer.

Broken app for iphone, nothing like what they show you in youtube videos. The ID card is a hit or miss every time because it doesn’t load often…

What is the point having an app that u can’t cancel your membership in or even for the love of cod freeze it to not waste 60 dollars a month. Disgraceful
Really hard to cancel
You can easily join the club with the app but there is no CANCEL button. You have to jump thru 20 hoops to cancel membership. This is disingenuous deplorable.
Callous business practices
The gyms are fine I guess and the app is serviceable enough. This is really more of a critique on its cancellation process. Why they continue to make it near impossible to quit a group training or the gym itself I think just comes down to strategic greed. I always hear people who have gone in to cancel only to be turned away because the manager isn’t there or having to pay bill they couldn’t pay because that letter they have to write wasn’t delivered or delivered too late. It is highly inconsiderate and they need to allow people to change, pause and or quit their membership or gym without the work around. It’s a simple thing but it get drawn out easily and people lose money they don’t have. Planet fitness is simple enough while being half the cost and actually being open 24 hours in most locations so I’ll be leaving L.A.F and heading there for now. Plus it’s less crowded

WHY AM I GETTING 6 DIFFERENT “rate your visit” NOTIFICATIONS A DAY????? THEY SOMETIMES COME AT DIFFERENT TIMES DURING THE DAY, OR THEY SEND YOU LIKE 8 IN A MATTER OF 5 MINUTES. MAKE IT STOP. YOU ARE SO ANNOYING UGH.

Like all of the gyms the app is beyond outdated. Also, there’s a good reason why you cannot cancel a membership in the app - they make all of their money off of people not using the overcrowded, dirty gym and forgetting/not going through the effort to cancel

I would say I’ve only use the app to scan in when I go visit the gym. There’s no like crowd meter or anything honestly kind of intuitive that I’ve seen cheaper gyms have. I mean it works when I need to scan in, which is good. Other than that, I would say the user interface literally needs a facelift. Especially considering that at my location, the population of members is really diverse. I think they could do a better job in creating some more contrast for colors and that are more accessible for any kind of member. The user interface experience I think it’s really important with an app and I also drives more traffic to businesses but you know I’m just a girl, what do I know?
