Free version is WAY to heavily restricted
This app only lets you talk to 3 people at a time, and then to add any extra chats it takes 70 smiles (you get 10 smiles a day for logging in) and to make matters worst, you can’t replace an old chat with a new chat if the other person leaves it/deletes their account. You also can’t see friend requests, so you can’t meet new people aside from matching. I get it, apps have to make money, but this app restricts the free account so much and the sub is ludicrously overpriced.

Horrible. They force you to pay a lot of money just for you to be able to chat with people which is the main purpose of this app. Don’t waste your time with this app. Thank me later.

too many annoying pop ups. tries to give a tutorial whenever you explore the app as if we've never used a phone before. must pay for filters. only has 3 free chats. noticed that japanese men use it mainly for romance. has a tinder-like UI for an app advertised for making friends, which is off-putting. I don't see myself using this for long, ESPECIALLY because id have to pay for more than 3 chats, pushing my review down to 1 star. must pay to see friend requests which now convinced me to delete the app. pathetic garbage of a money grab.
I Really Want to Like
I really want to like this app, but there’s too many fake profiles. You message someone, they message immediately back, the conversation goes nowhere, you open the app two days later and they’re banned. Has a lot of potential, but I’m getting nowhere with conversations.

Ok but gets no where
The goal of this app is clear, in the beginning I would match with others and talk with them but the concept is odd. How do I talk with others in their native language to learn without video or even audio calling? This is basically just a chat room. Need to use smiles to like others and to even speak with others. Now after a while I don’t even get any match with anyone. Feels like a dead app honestly and no one seems to really want to talk either.
