Le Monde est devenu trop idéologique et trop peu rationnel, notamment au sujet d’Israel et sur conflit israélo palestinien. Barthe et Filiu abordent Israël systématiquement à charge, sans nuance, en passant sous silence les responsabilités et dysfonctionnements palestiniens et en manquant de regard réellement critique sur le Hamas. Le Monde pourrait apporter des éclairage intéressants (comme le fait Arte par exemple).
L’annulation de l’abonnement étant un parcours du combattant, je suis bien comptabilisé comme étant « non abonné », mais je suis toujours prélevé. Plutôt que de répondre aux appels du service client essayant de me faire revenir afin de leur dire qu’ils me prélèvent encore 36 euros par mois (l’abonnement a augmenté avec l’ancienneté, mais ça coute en fait 30 euros. Absurde), je préfère faire opposition à toute transaction venant du Monde et je vous dis Au-revoir, après 10 ans d’abonnement.

So…..this sad French socialist rag has mostly cut and past articles with a “socialist” twist to them. Then…..has the gaul to ask 9.99 euros a month to read all of their rag + articles. Haha

Subscription through Apple doesn’t work
Apple charged $250 for a Family subscription, but Le Monde app still doesn’t give access to that subscription. Called Le Monde in France; they say they can’t see anything since the subscription is managed by Apple. Apple doesn’t want to refund. I will stay away from subscribing through Apple in the future if I can avoid it. There is obviously a disconnect between the Apple payment platform and the app providers.

Incorrect News and Bias
I’m reading multiple newspapers from France and Europe to keep myself updated with different views on Europe geopolitics. The app is really good but unfortunately “Le Monde” is too often having bias, manipulating the truth to feed a political agenda. The newspaper is not independent. This newspaper is often flagged providing incorrect information. When not incorrect, half of the articles would be editorials or just opinions in a normal newspaper like the New York Times. This is not true journalism.
App problems, no way to cancel!!
I find the all that the App constantly will refuse to update, requiring me to delete it and reload it.
I have considered cancelling my subscription, but there seems to be literally no way to do so! Apparently, this is a life long commitment

Phishing ads?!
I regularly get ads saying I have over a dozen viruses and that I have to click on a button to clean my iPhone!! Though I understand the need for Le Monde to make some money, I think it’s unethical and ignoble to put adds for housing sites!! Shame on you Le Monde.
Crashes all the time
There is update after update and it still crashes when opening. I am also subscribing to the NYT and they are able to have a stable app. Get decent programmers for a change.

A d the articles are different - some in French are not available translated to English.

Nice to read news from Europe. But too often it’s behind a paywall
Ads are too annoying
The app is fine and the content great, but some of the ads are very annoying, borderline scammy (« you won a free amazon gift card ») and make the app unusable.
I understand that Le Monde needs to make money but going this low with ads made me uninstall the app. Also, as someone who only read an article once in a while, the subscription (18 euros a month) is too expensive.
