Poor service
First off let me say I was able to send to family twice the third time my account was locked and I was left with $500 in LemFi account and couldn’t send it back to my account. After numerous attempts with emails with promises of looking into the issue a week went by without a resolution. Then I made a phone call and was told I had to answer questions that I had already answered and I still haven’t gotten my money back. My advice is steer away from this app.

I give a 1 star since they make it hard to delete the account will update the rating once they make it easy to delete the account
Transaction delay
I have sent money for the past 7 days yet the money wasn’t delivered to my recipient and it wasn’t refunded to my account.
Fraudulent
I lose access to my phone number and can’t even remember it , i still have the email I used to sign up nd they telling I can’t use my email to get back into the account, that I should create another account , when the previous account has my ssn and everything. Updating a phone number should not be this difficult. Stay away from this fraudulent company, would give less than one star if I could
Cannot login and no body responds
Wrote so many emails to solve log in issue as I have remaining balance inside. But only auto emails no solution.
Waste of using this app, especially during weekends
I send money to my family member in emergency during weekends. The transaction has been delayed and it shows in progress. I called to customer care they saying the reason is during weekends you did the transaction so please wait till Monday bad experience instead of using this app or remittance with the own bank remittance is the best option.

CLUELESS APP!
I've been using LemFi for more than a year. Earlier it worked fine, but recently the service has become extremely unreliable.
If a transaction completes within 15 minutes, you're lucky.
But if it gets delayed beyond that, the real headache begins.
I've had transactions stuck for more than 48 hours, and in some cases it took 5-7 working days to either complete or revert. That completely defeats the purpose of using a remittance app that's supposed to be fast.
Customer support is even more frustrating. I contacted them through both email and phone, and they had no clear answer about what was happening with the transaction or when it would be resolved. The only response you get is to
"wait," which is not helpful when your money is stuck.
What's worse is that three friends I referred to the app are now facing the same issue, so this clearly isn't a one-off problem.
At this point, I cannot recommend LemFi, especially if your transfer is time-sensitive. When it works, it's fine. But when something goes wrong, you're basically on your own.

My money is stuck now
They haven’t transferred my money. But they have deducted immediately from my account. Now they are saying they can’t reverse the transfer once initiated. They are saying I have to wait until it is done. They don’t have any timeline. That said they don’t know when it will be done. I’m using it for the first time and it will be the last

Poor customer service!
I have been a user of LemFi for about 3 years now but today I don’t have good reviews for this app. About 3 weeks ago, the LemFi app on my iPhone just stopped working.ie. When I open the app, it takes me to the login page but i couldn’t proceed to login or even change my password if anything simply put, it didn’t allow to even try to create a new account! I reached out to customer service explaining that I get an error that said to contact support yet nothing has been done! They keep sending emails pretending to help and nothing! I have for the past weeks been unable to process transactions as I comfortably do with my phone through their app and have had to resort to using an iPad which is very inconvenient!
Your customer service is poorly handled and you go round in circles asking the same dumb questions which has nothing to do with why you’re being reached out to in anyway!

Worst App Ever - False “Instant Transfer” Claims
Worst experience ever. The app claims instant transfer, but it’s been almost 2 days and I still haven’t received my money. No proper support, no clear updates, just delays and frustration. Completely unreliable. Would not recommend this app to anyone.

Very basic ways to work and cusomer services are really bad. Will make sure the Senegalese diaspora in the US will not use this app.

I started using Lemfi based on a family recommendation. While the first few transfers were seamless, a transaction sent on March 2, 2026, failed to reach the recipient despite being debited from my bank account. Customer service has opened an internal ticket but refuses to provide an ETA or a refund. After daily follow-ups with no progress, I am now forced to pursue formal complaints and litigation. Use with caution.

This app wanted to know what person I’d be sending money to, how much money I’ll be sending, for what reason.

Its been 5 days. I made 2500$ transaction and the amount is still not transferred to my account in india. This is so frustrating. I am not able to get proper hope through customer service as they only say they are waiting for feedback. Very poor customer service.

This app is used by scammers to steal money. And it seems that LemFi not only allows these criminals to operate, but probably works with them to make sure your money is stolen, and then give you the run-around in order to not accept any responsibility. It is a random, strange app from Kenya, so it becomes impossible for anyone in the US to have any recourse in recouping their money. Do not use this app! Run away from it.

Lemfi is one of my biggest problems right now, my account was suddenly restricted and i called to see how i can rectify it and also transfer out my money from the account. all they keep saying is escalating and waiting till end of d day, only God knows when…. The funds are for emergency. i do not recommend this app pls

I used LemFi to send money and the transaction has been stuck “in progress” for a long time. There’s no proper status update and customer service hasn’t resolved it. When you’re sending money, reliability and speed matter most, and LemFi failed on both. Very frustrating experience.

They are Inconsiderate. They hold my money hostage. The said they having down time to the destination I transferred money to. They wouldnt cancel nor refund till now.

Highly Recommended by a Friend but fell short
I was really excited about this app a friend recommended from the US bur their customer service is quite poor and gives a run around even with a simple password change. Transfer resolve took a month then when I followed up still days. Not worth the energy. What was most frustrating is the receptiveness of the customer support. I even asked for supervisor another run around and repetitive messaging. What was worse is I spoke to the same rep 3/ 4 times and she still couldn’t recall who I was. I won’t put too much hope on this. I think they have a great product as my friend actually used her account to send funds to mpesa for me bur getting customers is not their strong suit initially perhaps.
