Looser app
Cant get into my account. I was trying to change my number but they were making me verify. Now I can no longer get into my account. Either the instructions are incorrect or there’s an issue on the technical side. This app just can’t be paired on another device.

Can’t log in!
I had an account a long time ago. It even uses Sign in with Apple, but it displays some error about can’t transfer, and then there’s nothing I can do!

I had an account on my old phone, but once I moved to a new phone with the same Apple ID, I’m now unable to log in or make a new account without my old device. Since I don’t have my old device, it is physically impossible to even make an account or log into the app. This is happening to many many users as well, so at least I’m not the only one.

It’s very annoying to have an app that blocks you when you try and use it. In my case I can’t login! I keep getting an error saying that verification is temporarily blocked. Unlike other services you can’t contact customer service unless you are logged in!
Used to be great.
This app used to be great. I use it to communicate with a lot of my friends still in Japan. Now there is no maintenance on it. I’ve been locked out of my account for days and for the game that is linked to the app. I can’t get any assistance with it so I’ve been locked out of my profile on the game also. So disappointing.

Unable to use line after getting a new phone
Unable to use line after getting a new phone. You can’t log in, and for US-based people you can’t create a new account either (since the only option is login with Apple… and then it’ll just tell you your apple ID is already associated with a line account… the same account I can’t log in to)

If you lost your phone
If you lost your phone. TOUGH LUCK. Solution is : Make a new account. You cannot transfer account without your old device. And making a new account is a hassle. If you did make one, and that gets flag and ban for some reason. Tough luck. Make a NEW account. Rinse and repeat.

Why do I have to have an 18+ apple account to make a line account even though the app is 12+ and the age range is 10-60+? Please fix this. Let me use a phone number or google account, not an apple account.

Poorly designed security
Since this is the app that is commonly used in Taiwan. I had this account few years back when communicating with someone in Taiwan. I am planning to travel to taiwan and decide to test my Line account. It won’t work because i have a new iphone. Even though i have the same number . I couldn’t remember my password- apple password file didn’t have it.
So I try to contact the support- no help.
I decided to create a new account, it tells me the phone number is in use already.

Not Exciting
It is amazing how this less than satisfactory app continues to be popular in Japan and a handfull of other Asian countries. WeChat, one would expect anything from Japan to be topnotch. Whatsapp and others are much more logical, convincing and reliable. There are so many issues that could be discussed. Irritating even more when it does not consistently ring or notify an incoming text or call. Uploading bigger files don't include a status bar. Sometimes you ask yourself why some apps still exist. LINE is one of them.
Have to re-login EVERY TIME 🤬
Have to jump through absurd hoops on iPad or Mac every 🤬🤬🤬🤬 time I open their apps. Utterly absurd “security” when it worked perfectly fine months ago. Revert! I’d be embarrassed if I worked there.

I still have the same phone number, but without the old phone that I already trade-in, they would not allow me to transfer my account to the new phone. This design is so stupid

This update is garbage
First they ask you to link your line acct to google or apple which I did. Now when I try to access news, it says URL not supported and that I need to download latest mobile version. I already am on the latest version. Please fix this
Customer Service is nonexistent
I have had nothing but poor experiences trying to connect with customer service to regain access to my account. Every time I submit an inquiry they respond with a do not reply message so I am unable to explain the situation further. Then they send me another form to fill out and when I complete it I get an error message despite everything being entered correctly. It is really sad they don’t care about customers enough to send an actual reply back to give people the support they need.

I am unable to access my old account because I do not have access to my old phone, so I cannot do the account transfer. There needs to be more login options instead of just Apple. There should be login options by using phone number and email.

Unfixed UI Bug is Infuriating
I’m here to trash this app because the developers have gone months and months and months without fixing the super annoying, obnoxious, garbage UI bug that is the blue callout on the “Set as announcement” button for calendar events. This confuses every single person who uses this app and everybody in every group chat I have even been app ends up mistakenly mashing this button as a result of this garbage. This callout never ever goes away. Everybody hates it. Dumbest UI ever. The announcement feature itself is trash and if it continues to exist there should be a confirmation dialog to make sure the user knows what they are doing. FIX THIS ALREADY

I’m trying to log into my account and it’s saying I need to finish transferring my account? I never ever needed to transfer this account and I’m only AND ONLY using it for a game and it’s now useless and I have no idea what to do with the account I made ON MY OWN and now can’t even log into it.
