An app full of spam useless content and it crashes all the time.
A lot of unfixed flaws, poor client service, frozen response when clicking a button, broken functionalities which do not respond, metrics with error on tracking reports, not for true professionals.

They literally just lied to me and said they delete it after 14 days when that’s not true, it says 3 years in the contract you want me to sign and agree to.

This app has taken a turn for the worst. It locks you out of your account unless you provide your ID and a live selfie. Sounds like a great way to harvest biometric data from people and sell their biometrics to random companies. It’s disgusting and I am not going to allow a company to use my face to train AI systems. LinkedIn was never that serious. What a tyrannical and bizarre thing to do for a social networking site…… I warn others not to allow “Persona” or LinkedIn access to your FACE & data especially when Persona forces you to agree to their terms that state they cannot be held liable in a court of law for ANY wrong doing. Screw this app & tyrannical surveillance oversight. LinkedIn does not even allow you to delete your account, which I will be reporting to a government regulatory body because I did not grant LinkedIn permanent access to my photos and information without the option to delete.
Can’t delete subscription
The fact that you can’t easily delete your premium from the app is a scam. THE FACT THAT A SUB IS 70$ IS INSANE
Restricted with no explanation
Genuinely the worst app in the world. I created an account for my job and went to verify my valid American license. I was restricted, no explanation, no customer service and no email access. I completed the contact forms, and was sent on goose chases every time, for hours. Then different operators joined and it’s every excuse possible with no solution. They just simply say, “they can’t assist for privacy reasons”, and immediately close the case. Make it make sense. This company is affecting people’s careers and applications. Absolutely horrible.
Account restricted for no reason
I got the app a few months ago and made connections with people I know. It then restricted my account. I followed the necessary steps to regain access and it didn’t help. I contacted support and they helped me gain back access. Then I made more connections with people I knew, which is what the app is for. It then restricted my account again. I followed the steps to get it back, which didn’t help again. I contacted help and they didn’t help me this time. That was a couple months ago. I contacted them a week ago and they still haven’t let me have my account back. They need to fix this, because how am I supposed to use the app if they restrict me for connecting with people?
Unable to Recover My Account
I am a LinkedIn user from Russia and I have lost access to my account. LinkedIn requires identity verification to restore access, but the verification provider (Persona) does not support Russian citizens. Because of this, I am unable to complete the verification process and cannot regain access to my account.
This is a very serious issue for me because LinkedIn is an essential part of my professional work. My account contains many valuable business contacts, ongoing conversations, and existing cooperation agreements with people and companies. Losing access has a direct impact on my professional activities.

2FA Not Optimized for Mobile
I’m going through my second account restriction appeal because trying to log in on mobile devices sends me into an endless authentication loop. It’ll have me “check the boxes containing __________” and then continually reload/refresh the prompts until the system thinks it’s being spammed with requests and just locks my account. I had no issues logging in on my PC and the fact that there’s no way to contact LinkedIn support without doing so through your account is absolutely asinine. How are you supposed to request support if you can’t get into your account? They need to hurry up and revalidate my account (it’s been a week) so I can delete it. Unacceptable.
System runs on a prayer
Just a warning: if you do not proactively decide to give LinkedIn your government information (your ID), they will lock you out of your account. Their captcha system sucks, so you'll be perpetually confused for a robot, and even if you get your account reinstated, you'll only be met with false postings, needless AI usage, and scammers in your inbox. Don't waste your time-if you've gotta mass apply anywhere, use Indeed, Glassdoor, or Handshake.
Change it back
The most recent update put the notifications button in the top corner instead of the bottom menu bar. The icon is tiny and doesn’t even say what it is. Notifications is literally the most used button of them all and you’ve relegated it into some obscure location. Move it back to the bottom and feature it prominently in the center like it deserves to be.

For the last month, the app has caused uncontrollable overheating. App starts getting laggy and have to shut it down and reopen to keep it running.
Even reading the news stories has become an exercise in frustration as it takes ages to go through all the articles in the newest iteration rolled out today. Experimentation for the sake of playing around is stupid and drives away customers.

1. Clicking on “reply” doesn’t tag the person. I have to click reply twice!
2. Spell checker is absolutely broken!
3. If I type more than 5 lines into a comment window, I can’t hit “enter” because it is below the screen covering up the button to press. Nothing you can do to make that button visible.
4. I can’t tell you how many times I lost all messages already typed because of some flaw that pops in and deletes everything.
I wish I had the time to always be on the PC where working on LinkedIn is acceptable. On the phone: it’s outright miserable!

Poor App
Rarely updates feed. Lots of politics nowadays. All feels spammy and endless sales emails. Lame app. LinkedIn is a dinosaur.
They will take your money even if you cancel your subscription.
I signed up for the free trial. I realized it wasn’t worth it and set a reminder in my Google calendar to cancel it before I was charged. I went out of my way and followed the steps. It said I canceled. 3 months later I get a notification that only premium members get so I went to my account and I was STILL being charged. I contacted Better Business Bureau and they said that LinkedIn will not accept any communication through the BBB since 2023. This tells me that LINKEDIN has been doing this for a long time but they get away with it. Customer service refuses to believe me or resolve this issue. This should be illegal and probably is. So, I’m glad you got $150 out of me when I wasn’t even using the app (knowing I canceled). So what happened? How did it not fully cancel? If I went through all of the steps then you guys stole money from me.
This is a spam nothing to do with jobs
Uninstalling and deleting my account as they will never stop spamming, no matter what type of settings you set. It has become self proclamation app about self achievements and has nothing to do with jobs.

This is a terrible platform. Social Media and hiring are two things that should never mix but Linkedin takes that relationship and makes it into a toxic unending mess of notifications from people and businesses you don’t ever care about or want to hear from.

This app is nothing but people faking their way out of a terrible system in fear of how they appear in front of others. Ever since AI hit the scene all posts are about it, or written by it. The features Linked in offers to earn profit also make no sense they just tell you people view your account and show you metrics that mean absolutely nothing.

Can’t login, verification keeps failing, been at it for 20 min. Now it says max attempts reached try again a different day. How about I stop wasting my time with this garbage? Utterly unusable! I have better things to do with my time.

I’ve been trying to post from my phone for weeks now and every time it says “We encountered a problem with your post. Try again”. Searched the internet and evidently this is a known bug that has never been fixed.
Update: reinstalled the app and made sure everything was updated only to have the same thing happen. You seemingly cannot post pictures and text at the same time. It makes the app semi useless for posting.

Basic, intuitive gestures not enabled

Worst social media platform
Definitely the worst social media platform in existence and it seems like everyone knows it. Everyone puts up with it for career networking and job hunting but the app is garbage, the subscription is ridiculously overpriced, the culture is mindless corporate-speak and humble bragging. Everyone thinks they have something profound to say but it’s always just junkfood philosophizing.
The log in process is also a steaming pile of trash. Like if you delete the app and redownload it, you have to verify the login… using the old app that you deleted to verify it. And if you try to use email to verify, you have to upload your actual ID! Easier to delete the app again and just leave it gone forever.

Video removal
The application would be better if users could either hide or remove the video feature. I do not come to LinkedIn to see social media videos that aren’t relevant and just clog up my Homepage.

When I enter the app it says to upgrade it to latest version but when I touch the button and come to app store it doesn’t have anything to upgrade(the last version is downloaded and there’s just open button here!)
Impossible to login on iPhone
Every time I try to login on my iPhone it restricts access, then takes me through the Captcha, then verify with persona where I have it take pictures for Face ID, take a picture of my license and then says can’t verify. Over and over. I finally got into it on my google tablet, and thought I have a user id & password I tried again on my iPhone and what do you know it restricted access again. Now I can’t get in on either device. What is the purpose of this app if I can’t use it?

I have been locked out of my LinkedIn account for weeks despite completing every verification step requested. I submitted my government-issued ID through Persona, received confirmation that my request was submitted, and even opened support tickets. Every time I try to verify again, the system says that I have already submitted a request, yet my account remains inaccessible.
The support process is extremely frustrating. One team sends me to identity verification, identity verification says I already completed it, and support then closes the case without resolving the issue. There appears to be no coordination between the different systems.
For a platform that is supposed to be professional and business-oriented, the account recovery experience is surprisingly poor. Users should not have to spend weeks trying to regain access to their own accounts after successfully verifying their identity.

The Social Media app for professionals, Facebook wasn’t enough
I only use LinkedIn because they have so many postings but actually landing a job doesn’t seem probable. You have to pay to see who looks at your profile. No jobs are being posted at the moment.

Worst app I have ever tried to use.
If there were 0 stars this would have it. I have been trying to sign into my account for the last week. The only way I can access my account is with a verification. The verification doesn’t even work!! I tried to find a number or email to contact them and it doesn’t exist. So I looked up how to reach customer support. The only way is to be logged into your account!!! How can you not have a way to help your customers wanting to use your app? Multi billion dollar company with no way to contact them about simple issues. I hope this review will help them fix this issue.

Can’t Stand It Anymore
LinkedIn, for me professionally, is useless now. It’s all advertisements, how to videos, and suggested content that is completely irrelevant to my career. What was once a revolutionary way to connect on a professional level, avoiding the social media platforms, has itself devolved into a social media platform.
Wouldn’t let me sign in
Randomly signed me out my account a day after I was on the app. Made me go through 30 security checks and made start again because I didn’t want to upload my ID at that very moment.
