This app either makes it impossible, or intentionally difficult, to find your legal policy/insurance contract. I recognize I may be overly sensitive to an issue like this as a lawyer, but I feel compelled to note that this behaviour is improper for an international institution like Manulife.
There is absolutely no reason for this: the only rationale for limiting policyholders’ ability to review their full policy is to maintain an information asymmetry between Manulife and the holder. The only reason insurance co’s would want information asymmetry? It gives them an advantage when denying meritorious insurance claims, because policyholders cannot effectively enforce their rights if they are not aware of them.
This is unbecoming of an institution like Manulife, and it’s something I would have expected out of an underground loan shark, not an accredited financial institution.
This must be fixed. Policyholders should ALWAYS have access to the contracts that bind them. No, waiting on the phone for 3 hours is not “access.” No, a camouflaged email attachment is not “access”. In 2026, good faith contracting affords parties REAL, perpetual digital access.
If Manulife wants to claim that they insure in good faith, this should be a non-issue. I hope they do the right thing.

Worst app for insurance benefits
ManuLife has specifically designed an app that prevents submission of claims through ambiguous wording, limited functionality and technical glitches. Just when one gets to the final screen to submit ones work the app times out and crashes. That’s a good formula for mitigation of expenses for ManuLife. If they can foil your claim submission through their app (and they do) it saves them money. More funds available to pay their executive bonuses if they have less claims to pay out.

App doesn’t update personal information. I changed my phone number and email…updated profile but Manulife continues to use only information to confirm my identity. When I finally confirm my identity on my new device the Manulife app requires two step identification every time I attempt to log in.

Logged in to my account and it just shows A title John’s Benififits , and rest is blank

Your app and website are subpar. I heard about upgrade plans years ago and nothing.
Greedy, heartless company, decent app
I received no monthly statements for 7 years while they at some point started charging monthly fees. Their response? “Not our fault, not our responsibility, nor is it worth having a rep call you to apologize. If you trust us with MORE money, we’ll stop the fees.” Beware. 😒

It doesn’t seem to update daily and has no daily or even weekly performance data or graphs. Truly sub par at best

Difficult to use. Also crashes a lot
Mobile deposit does not work
And support agent apparently has no clue why it doesn’t work... for a bank without any physical locations you’d think they’d make mobile deposit a high priority functionality?

What a useless app. Nothing worked on this app. Can’t access any of my benefit details. Can’t even download benefit cards.

The app is missing my retirement account while I see it when login online
Manulife IPhone App
This application is excellent on my iPhone. It gives me key data very quickly. Love the touch login. A few big improvements would rate it a 5 star: 1. Show the value invested for each fund in account. 2. Allow access to investment information to see performance of all funds available. 3. Allow transfer of investment dollars between funds or other funds available. Thank you.
Not good
Can be difficult to navigate and the app crashes a lot. Stays down for a long time. Days sometimes.
