Official cult, scam and bully problems
This game contains severe official in-game cult, bully, gamble and all kinds of scam problems that the customers (players) don’t know or are not notified at the first place. After a period of time of playing, I found out that the in-game scammers and cult members who cause all these problems are 100% hired by the game company Nexon because all they care about is how much money we the real players spend in this game, if not enough, they’ll start to brutally online bully us until the players spend to the enough amount of money to satisfy them so they’ll stop. You will at one point or another run into issues with how your account is setup, and be unable to login due to your email not syncing with Nexon. When you reach out for support you will get very hastily written responses ignoring your question and informing you of nothing but that they cannot help.
This was showcased recently in another App, Maplestory Idle. They banned all users who got a refund for micro transactions users bought that hadn’t actually worked. This was the strangest response - Nexon messed up but decided users wanting a remedy - a refund - deserve to never play the game again. This is the sheer stupidity of Nexon. Don’t waste your time and risk losing the hours you sink into this.

USD To Progress Properly
Maplestory was a great game, but coming from PC to Mobile is a gross change. Initially I was fine with the grinding, but after losing a billion GP over 2 belts while free to play is disgusting. It took over a month straight to get my equipment to where it was, and now it feels like there is a serious pay to win barrier.
Why is it that everything costs an arm and a leg after lvl 200?
Why is there bundles in the shop for OVER $100USD?
Why do I need 4 scrolls just to upgrade my stuff and still have it get destroyed?
Why is there still bosses that unlocked at lvl 100 that I still stand no chance fighting after getting over level 200?
Why is there 50 different types of in game currency that bars you from progressing if you don’t have it?
Impossible crafting materials? Maplestory has your back to make it worse.
It’s because i’m a free to play account, and this game is biased against that. Just logging in everyday I have to close out of at least 3 promotional popups for things I don’t even have unlocked or can use.
Make this game ACTUALLY free to play friendly, and i’ll come back, but even on PC they aren’t digging in anyone’s pockets like this.
Maybe I was wrong to think the mobile would be close to the PC version, but I guess you won’t really figure that out until you hit the block yourself as well.

IP issue
It’s always such a shame when games IP ban for no reason. Find a better way to find cheaters instead of banning your potential customers… really sickening and makes me wonder if nexon is racist towards certain countries.

There’s no enjoyment to this game unless you pay for it. You’ll watch everyone else progress while you remain stagnant, which turns into frustration so bad, that you end up spending a little that turns into a lot. And then at the end of all that spending you’re still nowhere near average, when you watch all your friends have successful exalts, mastercrafts, and get all the boss drops. It hurts. This game has become psychological warfare. Do not play this game.

I’ve played a lot of gacha and maplestory and this game takes the cake. I’ve never seen so many notifications to purchase something in my 15 years of playing gacha games. Literally 100s of ways to spend money left and right. Oh you want to find where the buddy list is? Good luck going through dozens of buttons just to locate it.

This game feels way more lonely now. Since there are no more bossing windows expedition times I spend over 10 to 20 minutes, trying to find someone root abyss or boss with. Before, if you queued up during the exhibition times, you could do your dailies bosses I haven’t been able to clear root abyss really since.
Impossible to reach end game.
Been playing for years. Spent “only” around 100-200$ during this time. I’m level 232 and have 3 chaos pieces of gear and a character of each class around 150-200 for the legion effect. With the dozen different commanders (bosses) in the game I can solo the first 3 and I’m unable to kill the others, nor do I stand a chance at surviving them or denting their hp. Boss damage is so high it’s not enjoyable. And each new patch introduces bosses that’s even stronger??! I’m not sure they understand their own game. There’s not a lot of people more powerful than me and the ones that are stronger are insanly stronger. If each line I deal is around 5-10mil there are people who can hit like 55mil. That’s over 5x my damage. Yet I practically 1-3 any expedition boss. The only way to reach that level of damage is to spend money, and a little money (less than a couple thousand is a little) wouldn’t even get you very far and then you would get buyers remorse because your damage would only get slightly higher. With the content they are creating and the unrealistic end game I can’t suggest this game to anyone else.

This game is free to download and it use to be good with f2p friendly until the many changes patch, 2% bossing dmg contributions requirement will take you forever to grind bossing gear, low % master crafting and exalt for end game and no resting party for you to get a early boost, unless you plan to fund your character with a lot of cash.. and its not even 100% pass you still have to beat rng.
5 Years Wasted - This Game Hates F2P Players
I’ve played MapleStory M for 5 years. I gave this game my time, my energy, my passion - and what do I get in return? A dev team that doesn’t listen, censors criticism, and actively punishes free-to-play players.
Every update brings more restrictions, more paywalls, and fewer rewards for players who don’t spend. It’s like they’re doing everything they can to squeeze every last cent out of us. F2P players are treated like trash - no respect, no balance, no fun.
Try to voice your concerns on Discord? Deleted. Silenced. Ignored. The devs are arrogant and out of touch. They don’t care about community feedback unless you’re a whale.
Don’t waste your time. Don’t give them your money. They don’t deserve it.

Lack support from auto ban issue
I wasted a month of work just to get auto banned from the game without them being able to provide proof of infraction, I had to scour the internet just to get closure on the issue. And if I’m correct I got banned from using a feature that is implemented in the game. You should be careful on spending money on this game, you might lose everything just because they are too lazy to properly manage their server.

it's so buggy. whenever I hover over any lists or elements with scrolling feature, it just auto scrolls to oblivion and i cant click on anything. every thing is star force star catch with this bug. it hasnt been solved for a year and only happens in this game. please fix

Crashes every night
Since your developers answer faster than the customer support team , why does this game crash so often only on apple devices? Android devices have zero issue? Every time mine crashes I send a log and every update it gets worse. You don’t deserve a 5 star review until you can solve this issue for every apple user effected by this bug .

Gambling addiction
Nothing in this game is guaranteed, great way to start a gambling addiction. Spend hours in game for 20-40% game chances just to always fail and never feel progressed. Outrageously priced items in shop, I’ve played plenty of games and am one for paying but not 200$ for a 30% chance exhalation stone golden egg is the biggest scam just pay 55$ for buff items you get for free daily
Terrible game, greedy developers
If I could give this game -5 stars I would. It is the most predatory game I have ever seen. The packages are all on a % pass base and are extremely expensive like “10% chance to pass for 199.99 USD”. The developers don’t understand the player base so they just implement changes to line their pockets more and more with each update. Give nothing to the community. They manipulate in game currency by lowering drops so you have to buy things from the shop (more money in their pocket). They manipulate market value of in game items by releasing packages to make your hard work of farming useless cause you cant sell anything. Let alone have the money to buy anything. Botters are running wild at any given time there are 2000 bots online farming in game currency to sell to people for real cash. You’re 100% forced to either buy in game currency from botters or NEVER and I mean NEVER have enough money to buy ANYTHING. It is insane. They added a boss contribution system that punishes players who arent pay to win. They say its “2% contribution” but without dropping literal 1000s of dollars you couldn’t even hope to do 2% dmg on some of these bosses. I’ve been playing for 6 years and have spent probably well over 100K on this game. Their packs add up over time. Please do yourself a favor and do not install this piece of crap game. I for one am hoping we can Boycott this scummy company and stop giving them billions of dollars a year.
Too Many Glitches/Unable To Change CMD Button
Been testing MSM on M1 for nearly two months and here are my thoughts...
1. Overheat issues with keyboard
2. Manual button will have delay timing at random times
3. App Shortcuts >> Creating your own command i.e Force Quit Maplestory M application which is (cmdQ) will not allow players to change a different shortcut key in order to avoid forcing application.
4. It's difficult as it is to open other tab such as forge or opening inventory slot since we are resorted to manually click those buttons
Overall, if you want a full on experience with keyboard, its much more easier to play with ipad over the mac.

Fun moments but…
The fact that the game is littered with obvious bots is killing the vibe. I refuse to put money into this game because there is no point in building up when “everything” on your expedition is just sitting there taking up the space of a real player. It makes it hard to progress. I’m on my way out of this game if this is not resolved.
Give us a native iMac Version
Why don’t we have a Mac version yet, I know I can play the iPad version but it’s missing so many features and my Mac for some reason gets super hot when I play MSM on it.
