I subscribed to MarketWatch under the pretense that I would be charged $3.99/month for the first 12 months of my subscription and then subsequently charged $19.99/month following the 12 month period. I resubscribed and was charged $19.99 and there is no customer service or information provided. This behavior is predatory and false advertising.

Poor journalism
Always always has a negative lean against Trump and Republicans and their economy. There’s a way you can print the news then there’s a way you can slant it and these people do it constantly to the left. They suck. It’s no secret that Rupert Murdoch and Trump have issues with each other. The same thing is existing with Bloomberg News. I’m 81 years old and where I’ve watched this country go, it’s just plain sad.

Since the last update, ca no longer click on the Comments link on iOS devices, either iPhone or iPad.
Nothing but problems
I signed up and have nothing but problems. Used google to open my account. Paid for the market watch/barrons subscription. Tried opening article.. they won’t open. Tried to set my watch list won’t work. Tried to email customer service recieved an error message! I have screen shots… I want a refund!

I paid for this service to get news as soon as it happens. The markets have completely moved by the time these alerts come through.
I didn’t cancel until the day the payment came through. I immediately cancelled within 5 minutes and they refused to refund me. Probably would have gotten a couple more stars if they refunded me for something I don’t want and have no use for. It’s more of a gotcha type of discounted trial period.

There is nothing to read here except the front page. Marketwatch does not understand that stock market news and opinion are free of charge elsewhere, like MS Edge news collections.

Limited features and finicky
So many other apps have lots of features. This one is very limited. Every time I try to log on, it is forgetting my password. It’s a joke.
Let it rot
MarketWatch was my go to internet market site in the early 2000’s. Even when it was free, I never did more than quickly browse and look at my watch list. I’m definitely not paying, even one cent, for a subscription.

Very complex very difficult to use this site not very user-friendly and I am very experienced with using websites, etc.

Very scummy marketing info and little to none when signing up. You have it to where as read you think it is $3.99 month to month and you have no idea what you paid for until you get your receipt and you have a zero refund policy. Very disappointing and scummy. I left very very many complaints on Reddit, many discord servers (Freecash, Earnlak, Mychips, Scrambly, trust pilot) and reported you to the BBB for misleading scam like business strategy. $36

Political driven app
All pushed articles are political driven and not fact based. Article titles are not remotely resembling the actual reported story. They push the political articles every few minutes. If you are worried about your funds don’t trust this app, go with a factual non-biased app.

I’m supposed to get a certain amount of articles free a day, but as soon as I hit a notification, it says I have already hit my limit… And this spams me with probably 100 notifications a day all which I cannot even read because they are scamming for subscriptions

Can’t edit watchlist
If I can’t do something as basic as editing my watchlist in a custom order then I can’t see using this app. Every time I attempt to adjust the ticker symbols on my watch list the app errors out.
Battery hog, might cause Rapid Unexpected Disassembly
I like the content, but my phone almost had a meltdown from using this app. I couldn’t even power the phone off and I literally thought that it was going to explode. When it was finally responsive enough, I checked the battery usage and it was all MarketWatch.

Though I have a bundled subacute market watch, it s the only one of my paid subscriptions that never opens in Apple News - forcing me to exit Apple News and jump through all the hoops of signing in and passwords - every time.

This app has bugs! I installed it on my IPad and tried to create a watchlist. Whenever I entered the name I wanted to call the list, it back spaced over the word and entered “(1)” in its place. It would flash the words “Successfully Saved” and “Delete Stock List?”and would then enter (1) in the list name.

Doesn’t function correctly
I just signed up for a subscription last week. It won’t accept my correct logins that I have saved & work when use online. There have been a few times I’ve opened it and I was already logged in but I’m unable to take any actions. I’ve tried to create a Watchlist a few times and the buttons do nothing. I did create a Watchlist by logging in through Google but it doesn’t copy over to my app. This app is just sad and needs a lot of improvements. Cancelling my year subscription after 4 days. Woof.
