Bluetooth connects too easily
Some random Marshalls device keeps pairing to my device over and over again even when I press cancel, forget device and disconnect. I’ve tried quite literally everything. I’ve factory reset, reconnected it, changed the settings, asked for help, you name it. VERY insanely annoying, nothing works and I’ve had to turn off Bluetooth, so unfortunately I can’t use it anymore.
Don’t
Requiring an app to use a speaker is utterly ridiculous. Requiring an app that is buggy to use a speaker is an embarrassment.
What exactly is the purpose of this?
Terrible. Uninstalled within 15 min of use. It updated my speakers and then renamed them and confused everything I’ve had set up. Also you can’t pair two Marshall speakers to play together? Lovely to spend almost a grand on two speakers but you can’t even have them play together. Go HomePod.
App doesn’t work
I have paired the app to the device a thousand times and still it doesn’t connect properly.

Horrible Management
Please, fire the person who decided enabling to open spotify without the app, but to need the app to change between noise canceling and transparency.
The app is laggy and needs a couple of minutes before being able to fulfill it’s main purpose.

Blue tooth off
I don't know what this app does. Despite connecting to my speaker with blue tooth the app states that my Bluetooth is off. A wasted download. I removed it from my phone.
No Auracast- False advertisement
I have owned this speaker for almost 6 months now upon buying a speaker. It was said that eventually the app would allow you to have aura cast capability in the future. It’s been half a year and nothing. App is trash and speaker sounds mediocre.
MOTIF ANC have infinite problems
Marshall MOTIF A.N.C. earbuds are absolute garbage and this app offers no help getting them to work properly.
New firmware turned my stanmore ii into a brick
Updated new firmware and now all my buttons source and volume button doesn’t work and Bluetooth didn’t work
Mayday App Down!!!
I recently got a pair of their headphones. The manual said to download this app...why isn't it working?!
Bad
This is the worst app, it doesn't even open, it takes over half an hour! The touch controls don't work properly! Garbage!
Garbage
Not working with ios26
Does NOT work for all Products
I bought a heston 60 over a month ago and they still have not added it the marshall app . i connect it using bluetooth but it constantly drops connection from my projector . its not far from the device at all . they need to make ALL their products usable especially because of their price . this is irritating . GET IT TOGETHER .
Bad Bluetooth Device Experience
Used device through the app to be able to use Line In option, when no sound over extended period of time, device would lose bluetooth access to app.
Will occasionally need to remove and pair again because the sound breaks up.
Now an update does not load up my Woburn II icon that has always connected.
This device and app has been definitely highly regrettable.

Broken iOS26
Even after the update completely broken, can’t connect.
Needs update desperately
This five hundred dollar speaker now sounds like a scratched record. Every few seconds songs skip. I assume it’s because Marshall isn’t keeping up with Apples seemingly endless updates
Should have bought the Bose
I bought these new in the Atlanta airport. Opened and tried to charge. They would not charge, just showed a flickering red light. Took headphones out of case, plugged in again, finally started charging. Charged for over an hour. Downloaded app, and the app says connected, but only one Earbud works. The sound is garbage compared to my much cheaper and older earbuds. Not at all satisfied. For the price of these, I honestly feel robbed and will not own another of their products. Should have bought the Bose.
Won’t Connect
I tried for over an hour to get this to connect to my Bluetooth speaker, and it simply does not work. I can connect my phone to the speaker just fine, but the app will not recognize and let me change the EQ. I’ve tried hard resetting, turning it off and on and nothing works.
App not working
Seems to be an issue with the iPhone 17 Pro compatibility, found other users having the same issue. The app will go through the steps to add the speaker, after the bluetooth connects it comes to a loading screen that says “Turn on your Woburn III and keep it close by”. Reached out to their tech support, followed the steps they provided, and after they completely ghosted my emails. I did not trade in my prior phone with the intention of giving it to a family member, the iphone 14 pro max, no issues on that. They really need to fix the issue, it’s been weeks since the 17 pro was released.
App Doesn’t Work
The headphones are great, Minor IV, and they connect via Bluetooth just fine…though they disconnect every couple of minutes and auto reconnect.
The app is useless, as is their customer service. It goes to the add device screen, moves through to let’s start listening, and then does nothing.
Customer service told me this happens and just to keep forgetting the device under Bluetooth settings, uninstall the app and try again…and again and again until it finally works.
I didn’t have this problem with my Pixel phone so the headphones aren’t total trash unless you have an iPhone I guess.

Doesn’t connect
I turned the Bluetooth setting on my phone to ON. But the app doesn’t recognize it. I tried deleting and downloading again. Same issue.
Major IV for losers?
Are you serious? You don’t support Major IV? How could it be?
Can not connect to emberton iii
Ive tried to connect my brand new emberton iii but it will not display on the app, i am on ios 18.6
Is this a joke?
I've installed the app on three different iOS devices and it will not connect to my Monitor II headphones on any of them, despite the fact that the Monitor IIs are listed as compatible with the app. I'm a computer consultant, so I've tried a variety of tricks to force a connection with no luck, so the app is obviously useless.
App doesn’t load
iOS 18.5 - app doesn’t open, crashes instantly.
App Will Not Open
I get the loading screen for a bit, then the app closes.
Hardly works
99% of the time the app will not connect despite a connection clearly being there through the fact my speaker is playing music and adjusting volume to my phone input, do not expect it to proper connect to your speaker, great audio products awful app.
Very bad
Very bad
Annoying app
I can’t even use my speaker… all of a sudden it is trying to play a old playlist I had from a long time ago and I can’t get out of it and it’s not even playing anything just showing a list and can’t do anything else
Acton II no longer connecting
I love the look of my Acton and the sound is great. But the latest upgrade to my IPhone seems to have made it incompatible. So now I wait for an upgrade while I have a speaker that just doesn’t work.
The app is fun because it allows you to fine tune your listening experience. But it takes a universal connection software (Bluetooth) and makes it app-dependent. I probably won’t buy another Marshall Bluetooth speaker because of it.

Does NOT work with iOS 18 updates
Worst connection ever. I have unpaired/repaired & uninstalled/reinstalled all my speakers (2) Willen’s (2) Emberton II’s & my Motif II EarPods then the the same with this App. All worked fine before the iOS 18 update. The music apps or video work fine on my phone all my other brand speakers & CarPlay work fine. Fix the app to coexist with iOS18.
Decepcionada
No es justo que mis audífonos Mid A.N.C no puedan conectarse a esta app cuando aún se venden estos audífonos en tiendas, ojalá lo puedan incluir en otra actualización por favor y gracias amo mis audífonos y necesito entrar en la app
Does not work with emberton
Shame on you the vocal is so unclear
App won’t connect
Speaker connects to Bluetooth no problem. Promoted to update firmware. Updated and now the speak won’t connect to app. The speaker still connects to the phone.
Не видит мои major 4
Не видит мажор 4. Айфон находит без проблем, в приложении нет
Garbage app
I have no idea where the 5-star ratings are coming from. This app cannot sync two Woburn speakers for its life. One or both constantly drop out and-or disconnect entirely. The app also interferes with the phone’s Music app which often has to be restarted while the Marshall app is running.
Absolutely terrible app for such a nice speaker.

What is the point of this app
The app is stuck on a “searching” screen despite me connecting to and recognizing my Action III via the app. What is the point of this app? These developers failed at their only job of simply making this app barely work. To the gulag
Bluetooth Playback Issue
Consistent issues with Bluetooth playback from the phone. Hope you guys fix it soon!
Blown Eardrums
Well, just got both our eardrums blown out again, so I'm deducting another star, especially given that there was an update to this app between the last time I raised this issue and now and yet things other than hearing safety were apparently prioritized.
Here is a feature they need to add for safety IMMEDIATELY: allow the user to set a hard volume limit each time a device connects to the speaker, regardless of what either speaker or device were doing or set to beforehand.
This is especially necessary as the only way to turn on the speaker is to be physically right in front of it using the switch (unlike some other brands where you could be turning it on from across the room).
I suggest this as someone who just had their eardrums blown out after turning on the speaker and unexpectedly having music resume that was playing in the car prior. The speaker turned on at MAXIMUM volume, louder than I'd ever had it on before and louder than I ever want it to be ever again. One ear still has pain.
This time the speaker was playing music on one device but connected to a phone as well. Someone called the phone and so the music was paused. When the call ended and the play button pressed on the original device it resumed the song AT MAXIMUM VOLUME rather than what it had been playing at before.
Seriously Marshall, fix this issue. There should be a default maximum volume limit set at a safe level. If you want to additionally allow a user to change or even remove the limit that would be fine too, but I am ready to throw out about a dozen of your speakers if it happens again. I wouldn't give them to my worst enemy with this behavior. Hearing is a critical sense and you're inadvertently damaging your customers' hearing!!!

I like the speaker, just not the app.
It feels like this app is mainly designed to promote their products. It only offers three EQ presets, and two of them sound pretty bad. I can’t find any way to customize the EQ to my own preference. Overall, the app is far too limited for managing my speaker.
Huge delay to connect the MOTIF II ANC
I like my earbuds, but whenever I open the app to control ANC or check the battery, the app takes about 10-15 seconds to get the connection established. It is pretty annoying because it delays even though I am using the earbuds.
Action II Never found
I've never been able to connect to my Acton II speaker. It doesn't show up on the Bluetooth list while paired or unpaired. Have tried everything but the app just doesn't seem to work.
Kilburn 2
Cannot connect to kilburn 2 speaker
Does virtually nothing
This app doesn’t really do anything. It offers 3EQ presets, which is pretty useless. Why not have a full graphic equalizer like other apps and speakers in this category range?
Multi speaker support
Please bring multi speaker support for the Acton III. I have two and they should be able to link but they don’t.
Unintuitive App-Not User Friendly
I was hoping to just control the three settings, volume, bass, treble with this app. But it does not want me to do so. First it wants to compensate for my space-I don’t care. Then it wants to update the firmware-on a brand new speaker-no need. It never goes into the screen that gives me device controls. Seems to be upset that I don’t need the firmware upgrade. So I deleted the app after 5 mins and will use the manual controls. The hardware is awesome, the app quite the opposite.
Can’t use with major IV headphones
I was hoping I’d be able to use this app with me new headphones please add these to the app in the future.
