MSF is a fun game but recently they’ve pushed extreme monetization designs like taking away character unlocks through power cores and allowing cheaters to remain in the game with their resources. F2P is non-committal but consider this before playing it.

I played this game a lot when I was getting into it, I liked how you were a able to get characters easily with stuff like power cores and challenges like battle world, but as time went on the game became more and more greedy up to the point where you can only get new characters with money and the challenges have been more for the pay to win players then the casual players, for those who are reading this review, if you haven’t played this game yet and your thinking about getting into it, DON’T.
Pays to cheat
Developers let people fraudulently buy in game currency with no punishment whatsoever. Fair play doesn’t exist here even though they act like it does. This will probably be deleted

Don’t waste your time
As of writing this review it’s been exposed that the dev team has been aware of massive cheating for the last two years. Not only did they do nothing but when it became public they only gave the cheaters a 72 hour ban and let them back in. These people manipulated the system and got several thousand dollars worth of in game items, characters and currency for Pennies on the dollar.

Overstuffed with slop and poor game/menu design. Can’t see menu options because of OTHER menu options covering it up. 14 different kinds of in game currency. Designed to muddle things and get you to pour over microtransaction cash.

Pay to win slop
This game went from my all time favourite to a game where, completing a legendary character like a dark dimension takes MONTHS, upon months. Gear is too scarce, gold is too scarce, training mats are too scarce, and everything worth doing needs the newest toons whom are pay to unlock and then spoon fed at such an abysmal rate the game is simply aggravating.
Played since launch
Scopley managed to kill the Walking Dead and now Marvel. Recent “currency change” ruined the game. They took what was a currency you could purchase or win by being competitive in Arena since the launch of the game and made it worthless. I personally would waste my time and wait until MTG drops Super Heroes this month. You probably won’t have all the trash heroes Scopley throws at the community weekly.

The Simplified Chinese language pack is corrupted-missing translation keys or displaying blank entries. This is an embarrassingly amateurish error. Additionally, please use a sans-serif font for the Chinese text.

It changed
In my 7 years of playing it went from a great game to a cash grab. Honestly, it’s a head scratcher. The game has turned off its core in search of higher dollar paying players while not understanding that they’ll lose both. I kept playing in part because of the friends I made along the way. The majority have gone and soon I will probably be as well. I can’t advance since the large core update and I’m unwilling to shell out any money whatsoever in a game I suspect will be dead in a year. The game is now trash in the guise of a game.
Developers clueless greed pay to win
This game makes a new character every 2 weeks that cost 50 bucks to only get them a 3 star gives zero time to level up the newer characters poof another new toon. This game is straight greed and pay to win methods. End game is a grind fest unless you open up your wallet. This game has gone to the toilet and I been playing this since it’s stated. They killed it
This used to be a 5 star game. They recently did an economy update that basically took away most of the things you could earn by playing the game, and made the prices of everything much higher. The game is waaaay too expensive for me now. I used to be an endgame player, unlocking the new team during the release events. Now I don’t have any of the latest 3 teams in a usable state. It just isn’t fun anymore.
Marvel $trike Force
This used to be a good game. Now it’s only worth downloading if you have a couple hundred dollars a month to spend on it. Find another game that makes space for both free-to-play and paying users.
Boring vortex
It’s a game that REQUIRES spending to do anything meaningful at all. New event, only if you pay something or save whatever cores you have so you can spend on one of 52 events for the year. Release after release after release. It’s exhausting because there isn’t much going on except for new releases. If you pay (I did sadly) it drives you into a deeper hole. Unfortunately I want to collect cool characters and do mix and match things but that’s not this game. You get very little leeway and must stick to the team script for things to work. Past investments dead for the most part. This game will take more than it will ever give. Every event is broken. Most events are leader board pay to win events. There is nothing you can do but spend resources. It’s absolutely nuts. That’s so boring and weird. Seriously you cant put an actual event together? Spend cores for leaderboard score, spend gold for leaderboard score, smh. I played for years and I’m glad I’m out. There is no substance here. You have been warned.
Stuck on the loading screen at 7%
Has anyone else got this problem because whenever I tried getting back into the game, the loading screen keeps getting stuck on 7%, please fix this.

Played this game for over 4 years straight and never even earned one penny , no real incentive and very time consuming
Removing rewards in Arena…
They made it impossible to get power cores a free to play player. There is now no way to refresh levels or the shop making it takes months to unlock a character when it would take weeks before. They want to squeeze every dollar they can out of people and it makes the game way less fun.

The gameplay loop is fun enough but these tactics of generating revenue are borderline predatory. The fact that the whales likely spend $300+ a month to remain competitive is dangerous. Also this is a gateway drug to get the public hooked on gambling.

The title says it all. This game was pay to win for years but as of this year, they have removed everything to progress in any event unless you literally outright buy offers. This game should be shut down.

With the most resent economy changes the game has moved from pay to win to pay to play. They have eliminated the middle/low class spenders and given discounts to whales. Do not waste your time. Content releases are always broken/bugged - most recent bug allowed people to get 650millioj of in game currency. Content is never tested.

I personally played MSF since launch. That’s over 8 years. Over the course of those 8 years, I didn’t mind throwing out $5, $10, $20, even sometimes $50 here, and there. The rewards typically matched the cost, and I’d shell out a little than watch an ad for “Gossip Harbor”, or King Match” every time I open a new tab. With that being said, they’ve switched to a new platform where they want $80 for the strike pass to unlock the newest character. $80 for something that’s been $20 for a VERY long time. Are there better rewards for your $80? Quite the contrary. Worst rewards in a strike pass to date. You lost me scopely. And from the looks of the angry mobs on Reddit, Discord, and the games own global chats; you’re going to lose the majority of your players for this one. You really out did yourself. Best thing you can do at this point is pull down the strike pass, apologize to your player base, and give everyone $80 is free content. MAYBE that will salvage what you have left once the dust settles.

New direction suddenly is not f2p friendly
This new era in game has taken away any skill expression for f2p. They have changed how f2p can get the new champions. Previously you could use in game currency to use to unlock new champions if you play well.
Now, if you are free to play, you get a subpar 2 yellow star character unlock that you are better off not bothering until you get them at 7 yellow star 7 red star.
It’s clear they are ramping up the cost to just enjoy the game.

Game Economy Update
Starting off this game was great. You didn’t need to spend money to be successful but with the newest update you need to spend money to even have a chance at getting future rewards. That’s why I stopped playing cause it’s impossible now to play without spending money. It’s an obvious attempt by the developers to make more money instead of caring about the quality of the game.

The developers of this app have taken a good thing and made it horrid. They keep “fixing” problems that do not exist, making the entire experience worse and worse.
While this game is not pay-to-play, it is certainly pay-to-succeed/advance and you will find yourself continually frustrated unless you are willing to fork over a hundred dollars or more per month.
Take it from a month-1 player - run as far from this game as you possibly can. It’s just not worth it. There is no enjoyment to be had in this slog.

So many dead currencies in game, with the exception of the US Dollar. Strike pass went from $20 to $75. Instant delete at this point.

Refund. I purchased a mega booster pack and submitted my grievances to support with no response! Please give me the items I spent my hard earned money on!!

It’s alright
You guys seriously need to fix that the enemy team gets 500 turns per each enemy and my team gets only one turn a round from the whole team. Kinda defeats the purpose of leveling up if I’m getting my butt handed to me by lower levels it should be enemy team gets one turn per each player on their team then I get a turn per each player on my team it’s just completely unfair especially when the rebuffs stack up and your best players get taken out
