Banned after an hour
I liked this app except for the fact they banned me after having an account for one hour. I didn’t even get any matches. I sent an appeal and they claimed I violated community guidelines but I read through all of them and my account was not in violation. I was fully covered in all of my pictures, all of my prompts were very family friendly and normal. I’ve used every other dating app and wanted to try a new one but banning me and refusing to unban it when I did nothing wrong is so unprofessional

Profile blocked two hours after setting up and No customer support
I set up a profile. Nothing in my profile was inappropriate, including pictures and write up. It’s the same profile I have on Hinge Bumble, Tinder and Facebook dating. Two hours after I set it up, I went to sign on again and it said that my account had been blocked/band. I sent customer Support a message asking them. What in the world is wrong with my profile and why would they block it.? 5 days lasted as of writing this review they still never responded. There’s so many other apps that I can use. I don’t need to use this app. Don’t waste your time filling out the Profile just in case this happens to you. I wish I could give it zero stars for wasting my time.
Blocked from access without explanation
I have 2 face photos up, a brief description of the kind of man im looking for, i have received no alerts or emails about anything in my profile being a concern and today i am blocked from accessing my account without explanation. Mind you ive only messaged 2 people and none of those messages were out of line. I paid for a 3 mos subscription only to be able to use the app for less than a week. I even got an email last night confirming a profile i reported as being fraudulent and it was, match agreed w me and removed the profile i reported (no messages were exchanged between me and the profile i reported. Match is sure quick to take your money and block you from accessing the app without ANY explanation.

I keep getting men who I believe are scammers or fake.
They will blindly ban you without reason or communication
They will lock you out of your account and then require you to submit it tickets which they only address during m-f from 8-5. Just a waste of time as everything is a paywall followed by blind banning if you don’t pay for the service.

Fake profiles and fraud. That’s Match
Match will send you emails and show leofiles that like you. Thats the fraud. They are fake profiles created by match. 90% of their profiles are fake. They perform a bait and switch. I warned them before I joined that if these profiles are fake, i will sue them and Apple for promoting a fraud driven app. The FTC has sued Match group, and Match group lost. They are again being sued by the FTC cor the same fraud they have been doing for years. They are criminals. Fraud is a crime in every state and country. They will lie to you, they will make you feel like a lot of people are interested in you. But they don’t exist. They magically disappear after you join.

Scammers city , I don’t usually give bad reviews to often but this app is riddled with scammers and it seems that Match.com won’t really step up there game and fix the problem because they are making a ton of money off of scammer accounts. I have been on for about a week and haven’t talked to a real person the whole time. Every one that I have texted or has texted me has always asked for my phone number as if it’s a sudden emergency like they almost always say I’m leaving this app or my account expires tonight so give me your phone number. Don’t fall for it it’s a scam and they want to get you off the app to try and scam you out of money. I hope this helps . Don’t bother stopping here you would probably have better luck yelling out your window.

If you’re a guy go on Bumpy, lots more women and interaction. Match is just for scammers, fake profiles and bots. They give you fake matches then once you pay for a subscription those matches disappear, it’s a part of the business model.

Endless swiping. One match out of endless swiping. Adjusting the settings doesn’t help either. It almost makes one wonder if these likes are fake just to get you to pay.

Couldn’t even create an account. Completed on boarding and was selecting a paid plan when I was suddenly banned and told to submit an appeal.
The appeal system is broken - I was told there’s no account tied to my email while the system simultaneously flagged it as blocked. This created a loop with no way forward.
There was no phone support and no indication that appeals are reviewed by a human.
As a perspective, paying customer, this was enough for me to walk away.

Match.com is full of African scammers. I have wasted so many hours talking to them. Why doesn’t Match make you verify you really are who you say you are with a photo check? I’ve also been accused trice of sending inappropriate messages when it’s not me, it’s them. Then I’m warned my account might be terminated and not get a refund. Then they don’t even check to see if my messages were appropriate or not. They take the word of an African scammer. Match’s value has gone down.
An absolute joke
They rob you of your money and then block your profile. Contacting support does nothing.
The old match UI was much better
The old match UI was much better and so I mostly use Tinder as its UI is better. What defines better? Hoping to write about that soon.
No Photo or ID Verifications?
This app is so outdated. In one month I connected with multiple people removed for fraudulent activity. Just looking through selection you can see many more profiles with the same pattern. Match Group owns most dating apps. Tinder, Hinge, Our Time, OK Cupid, etc. Some of them have good verification. Why not all? Safety is no joke. A fee alone is not a deterrent. Scammers make millions. Complete waste of time.
Not all profiles are real
As a site for dating I feel like they can do a better job screening fake profiles . Ensuring the profiles are legitimate. I was cat fished twice in less than a month .

This may be the worst dating app I have used. I feel like things were better 10-15 years ago. The gamification of dating where you are asking to buy more upgrades constantly so you can see more ‘fake’ people or bots is truly an unsatisfying experience. Skip Match.
Online dating sucks (still)
The app sends notices late and is slow to update your likes. There is no guide to how to use the app. You learn by trying. They try to nickel and dime you by posting your profile on sisters sites they operate. The person suggesting profiles to me has no clue to what I’m looking for and there is no way to communicate with them. And then there are the scammers….

The app locks me out as soon as I become a paying member on a trial and take days of messages to get access back then won’t repay me for the time I paid but couldn’t access the app. Then as soon as my subscription ends, it starts notifying me about all these 99+ women looking at my profile that it didn’t say anything about during my subscription - all trying to lure me back to pay for another scam.

Match is an unreasonable idea to meet people because it doesn’t provide enough people on the same area.
Not happy
Match has almost surely slowed down or stopped who sees my profile because I wanted out of my contract they even accused me of saying something inappropriate and would not tell me what I said, no evidence of that accusation therefore it didn’t happen. They were trying to kick me out so I’d have to pay for a subscription. I couldn’t even use. I may file a complaint with the FTC

Hey, so if you’re going to have preference settings… then maybe they should work. Why give me the option to set a preference if you’re just going to ignore them and show me people outside my preferences. Seems pretty useless at that point. Maybe fix that..

No profiles to see
Paid for the subscription and they don’t have a month to month option so you have to purchase like a 6 month subscription. After purchasing my subscription they only let you see like 5 profiles a day. I literally have no preference set, they all say any. I’m in the Columbus area and I have my distance set at 30 miles. Do not pay for this it’s a scam.

Honestly terrible app, you can’t do anything without paying and to make it worse they banned my account even though I signed up for the first time and they said I violated their terms of use but refuse to say what I did. And this is exactly why other apps will remain more popular!

Worthless
More fake profiles than real ones. At this point, I wouldn’t doubt they create the fake profiles to make it seem like there’s a semblance of a chance to meet someone. They sure don’t delete the fake accounts. Match, POF and Tinder are all owned by the same company. They aren’t in business to find you a partner, they’re in business to keep you looking for a partner. It’s an overpriced scam.
