My experience with the app was positive until the app unethically made cashout and conversion changes with no communication or heads up. Essentially taking percentage of already earned income. Unfortunately due to the changes made and lack of communication, people have fled the app and left the community bare. The app unfortunately lost what was once its strong suit compared to bigger streaming apps. (COMMUNITY). It’s really sad to see this app go downhill.

I’ve been using this app since Covid in March 2020 the community was amazing. It was something special. Truly, something that helped people get through the pandemic and for others the reason that they might still be alive because of the loneliness that came with the pandemic.
Everything below is referring to the apps that are connected on the streaming side: MeetMe, SKOUT, yapp, tagged, etc.
Recently, the app made some changes regarding how much somebody could cash out, whenever you gifted somebody a 100 it would take 10% off of it and only show 90 was gifted, when you’re gifting, you are looking for that dopamine rush that dopamine rush is now gone because If I gift 100 and now I got stolen 10 coins from me by the app and I only see a 90 which makes me not inclined to gift anymore, the dopamine rush incentive is not there anymore. This app hosts something called the battle games every year. people qualify to be in the battle games and those people then battle each in several rounds and go against one another for the victor.
Another change that the app made is you used to be able to cash out so let’s say 80,000 diamonds the gifts that you got used to get you $200 sent to your bank account now they changed it to be 96,000 for $200 to your bank account and they also make you force convert diamonds. So that means you got gifted diamonds let me go convert that into coins so that I can then gift somebody else a gift with coins that will give the receiver diamonds. They are forcing people to reinvest in the app and every conversion the app takes 60% and the person that converted only gets 40.
The competition to qualify for the battle games ends Saturday night at midnight. What also ended that Saturday midnight was the sale, usually the app will do a BOGO sale, buy this many diamonds get this much free, they do this before the battle games to get people to buy more. Saturday night for example let’s say somebody swipe to their card for 1 million coins. As soon as it dropped midnight and became Sunday morning all of a sudden you did not have 1 million coins you had 900,000. You would go to gift 1 million coins, but it would only go on the person’s scoreboard for 900,000.
We tried to speak to them in a round table meeting listed our grievances. This was several weeks ago, and there is still no resolution. sure you may say it takes a long for companies to put in changes, but they admitted to us in the round table. They did not think much of the changes they did not do any research of how people may respond to these changes and they just did it without telling us to rip the Band-Aid off. If you can make that decision quickly overnight with no announcement, you could surely undo it. This app seems to want to attract new users that will blindly accept these changes. Do not download this app this app will scam you.
The app has lost a lot of of their top streamers to TikTok. There is a social media button where when you click on somebody’s profile, you can follow their link and it’ll show the little picture of the app you’re going to. They took off TikTok’s because they know that they lost a lot of business to TikTok due to their own mistakes.

It’s still a dumpster fire. These idiots don’t bother to do any screening whatsoever. There are hundreds of each scammer’s profile and they let them all keep their fake profiles.

Updated ui is bad, stop trying to optimize what already works.

Every time you log on, the app has less active users and more preferences are locked behind a paywall.
I’m assuming it’s not the developers fault, they know what people want. I’m going to bet it’s some financial executive that only cares about the bottom line, they are the one that is driving the apps into the ground

App was great for years and then they changed so much it was near unbearable. Now you have to for everything. For all that you can just get a Tinder account. Deleting

It’s awful. Not even close to what it was 5-10 years ago. The developers got greedy, everything essentially now is past a paywall. To be able to actually, you know, search for people that fit your preferences, you have to pay for it.
I’d say about 90% are fake profiles, and the remaining majority are people already in relationships or just there to stream, which defeats the purpose of being pushed as a dating app, which it is not at this point.
Pathetic app. Goes to show you when you don’t listen to your users, people trend elsewhere.

Just as many fake accounts as real ones. Spent most of time reporter in reporting obvious spammers than anything else. Most of the time they did nothing to eliminate them as that way they can say they have more users than they really do. They create their own fake accounts so that they can say they have a lot of users. Total scam site. Advertiser beware that 50% of their accounts are their own creation. They are now setting accounts to search for smokers and then want to charge you for changing it. Don’t waste your time as it is the worst app ever!!!

I changed the height setting before you had to pay for it, now I can’t change it back to show everyone

Yall want money so bad and its just going to lead yall to making absolutely no money cause of people like me that refuse to use your app now cause yall are some money hungry pos. Enjoy the rest of the little life your app has left

It’s one thing to add new features and charge for them, but to take basic functionality and lock it behind a paywall is crazy behavior.

I have to agree with other reviews. There are too many scammers on here. I experience it too much barely real people and we got lucky maybe with two real people and that’s it. It was for casual. Other people were just scammers asking for money or sending me links to click on.

The new updates just made this app terrible to work with. Can’t talk to anybody can’t even find any real people it’s just bots controlling the app now…

suddenly we’ve turned into tagged apparently. the gifting system that’s been the same for YEARS now cheaps you out and gifts are actually worth 10% less than advertised!!! this is ridiculous and will only drive users away from the app!!! fix it if you care about your long time users!! This app locked change your distance and most things behind a paywall now. Don’t bother making an account the owners of this app are money hungry greedy people.

Camera icon for video chat is missing on newest update

Audio keeps dropping out not just for me but for other people too half tempted to delete my account. The app and my iOS is updated and I’ve tried restarting my phone and the specific app plus i even tried closing all of my other apps that were running in the background nothing worked and ppl in the same stream as me had the same issue so its nothing that I’m doing these updates just suck FIX IT

They banned you for no reason like they don’t explain why you got banned. I didn’t do anything inappropriate and I get banned like what’s up with that

I created a profile posted two pictures and immediately I got blocked due to violations of terms & conditions! I didn’t do nothing wrong. I loaded two pictures made a profile and I’m permanently blocked. Yourself a favor don’t waste your time 95% of the people are fake . Customer service is horrible as well. Good riddance to the fake creepiest day that I’ve ever been on

This thing literally won’t let you try to match with people, if you try if you click even four people know all of a sudden an advertisement pops up that you can’t even get out of it gets stuck and you have to literally exit the app and open it again that is ridiculous and you guys need to fix your app

After going to my account and hit the delete button they send u an email to your spam and tell you to press the delete button to confirm the deletion but the confirm button in the email doesn’t work. I tried to delete my pictures and bio info but it’s not letting me. Terrible app. Don’t upload anything to this app. DON’T TRUST THIS APP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This app is seedy and the people on here are not the most desirable dingles to say the least. Also, THERE IS NO WAY TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT, so the whole thing is probably a scam to get your information. Be warned.

Way too many bot accounts. They will match with you then ask you to get off the app and then give them money in exchange for their “services”. Most of them will usually ask you to give them money in advanced to meet up. Until this issue gets fixed I cannot recommend this app. It ruins the entire user experience. If you are looking for something real I suggest looking somewhere else.

You should’ve kept it the way it was before while fixing problems the app had lost so many messages and having to pay to view worse update you ever put out go back to how it was before.

Won’t let you delete profile

So here’s my personal experience with meet me after 5 years. Be careful as this advice would be given to any young women out there but on here I would catch myself hanging out with the wrong crowd and easily feeling a sense of sabotage. I’m not saying you can’t experience this elsewhere but because of their weak terms and the way this app is being handled by developers is a way to demolish it and the way it attracts people makes it impossible to feel protected. For instance, I had to kick 3 people out that constantly kept bullying me during every livestream; every time I’d express how scared I felt about being there the same troll would come back and tell me that there’s nothing the app can do since he’s a “software developer” like how much protection does this app even give?! The other time it asked for my personal Id! Also I’ve never been scared of women in my life because of the app; not only is it a hub for drug addicts, scrubs and misogynistic men but a number of male- centered woman who are very unwelcoming; they treat you more like rivals!.. The app caters to a lot of low lives because their terms of service aren’t strict enough to the point that any one even at the age of 16 can use such app in my eyes an app like this is very inappropriate and would advise anyone especially parents to be careful with of the amount of creeps on here. From a very young age I’ve met the worst dudes on there and have been groomed in the most sneakiest ways possible that deteriorated my mental health leading me to long term therapy. I used to love this app but after some time I felt like I was slowly losing myself feeling paranoid during every livestream, wasting my time in an environment I didn’t belong I even felt sad and couldn’t interact with the people I love and even though I met a couple great people it can create a toxic environment. If you want true friends whether it’s a connection or dating please go outside do something with your life other than meet me save yourself the time, pressure and money. Sounds dumb but do research read reviews before participating in an app read their terms of service the goal is to feel protected and be protected meet me please do better!

App is a scam. Paid the 9 and got 10.99 then 11.99 taken out of my account instantly. Stay away.

When you want to enjoy pure brain rot boredom, this is the app for you. You don’t want to find a relationship here. Low IQ people use this app. People with zero ambition, zero intellect.

The app likes to ban people for no reason and when you try to appeal it, you get an A.I. response with a link to the guidelines. No real reason. They don’t respond back ever after I’ve appealed to have my account reactivated.

Major problems with live streaming and verifying account

I have been stalked by another user and meetme is trying to make it seem like I am doing something wrong. I have screenshots that are time and date stamped. I block user and hours to a day later they are back on my fans list. Meetme is not doing anything about it.

I just uploaded my picture then they said I have been banned
