Does not work
I have tried to retrieve my files via their website and it literally does not load. I see that I have files on my app, but cannot retrieve on my desktop. Awful app.

I decided to not continue paying for larger storage/subscription and after receiving notice it lapsed was told I have a month or so before losing the saved data. I don’t have anything saved not saved elsewhere. Went in today to delete files to reduce storage to within standard limit. Well, THEY LOCKED THE ACCOUNT and I can’t delete or access anything until I pay at least one month for more storage to access. So I deleted my account with zero interest for future use. PCloud and Proton offer better options. Nice job there mega.

Very slow and bad user interface
Watching a video file on this platform is painfully slow, laggy, freezes or quits all together. Very expensive for large amount of storage to have an app perform so poorly. Additionally, 9/10 times logging into this app, it never loads and is stuck at the “updating files list” screen. Would not recommend

Make your service good so people pay for the premium service, like not nuking random drives with content that has no reason to be deleted..? Maybe the main business model would look ‘sustainable’ if you didn’t screw over users who paid to use it.
Slapping ads into the app now made me lose all interest and I consider mega dead. Good job, have fun becoming a relic of the internet that no one will miss.

scam of an app
there is no way to just simply download a file to your pc without jumping through a million and one hoops. the severs are dog water and slow even though they make you pay for storage i guarantee none of the money goes toward anything useful to make a better user experience when other file sharing sites do it 10x better for free. if you paid for this service i’d recommend doing a charge back with your bank for not being provided with the service that’s advertised like i did.

i get you need to make money and want people to buy pro but like i cant download a single scenepack in full without a message popping up saying “transfer quota exceeded”. its so annoying and honestly makes the app not even worth it unless ur downloading one single clip, which i know damn well no one is doing if they’re actually trying to make an edit. its better to record ur own clips atp 😭✌️✌️

I have been using the free version of Mega to store family photos and videos for years. I hit limit of storage a long time ago. I just opened the app and the ad on the bottom was showing inappropriate photos of my daughter using what looked like AI and other very suggestive photos. I am disgusted and will be taking all of my stuff off their platform!!! 😡😡😡😡
Why change everything
I use to be able to sort my folders by video and then I would change it to thumbnail view but now that’s completely gone. You can only sort it by video by using the search bar which is dumb. Now I can’t look through my videos. Why fix something that is not broken??
No Email Verification
I have tried sending the email for verification maybe 10 times now and it’s never sends. Not in spam either. Starting to think this app isn’t real.

i cant even upload a video . after my first three files i put in a public folder now when i try to upload anything it doesnt even load . annoying .
Total garbage
This is honestly the worst app that I have ever used it's laggy and unresponsive it just straight up does not work total and utter garbage mind you I'm also using it on multiple devices I've tried it on an iPhone and iPad and even a Apple laptop. Doesn't work worth a damn on any of them. Unfortunately I am being forced to use this for my application ..

Every single time I download my backed up files from mega I get a error every single time I have tried multiple devices I have tried multiple times this is infuriating

Connection issues ?
I’m using this app to watch videos. The videos start buffering every 5 seconds. I’ve tried using WiFi and my data. Idk if this is an app issue or some other issue.

i’ve been trying to get on my account but i don’t have a recovery key nor have i EVER seen it and if i try to make a new account with that email and a different one i can’t do it and it’s pissing me off like omg
Great for storage, but kiddie porn ads made me leave
I’ve been using Mega for a long time. Functionally, I prefer it over alternatives like Dropbox and Box.net. However, the banner ads are almost always borderline kiddie porn. Absolutely not.

this app is extremely frustrating because about 80% of the time i can’t even get into the app i’ve done everything that it says to do but i always get stuck on connecting to the server
