there is no way to just simply download a file to your pc without jumping through a million and one hoops. the severs are dog water and slow even though they make you pay for storage i guarantee none of the money goes toward anything useful to make a better user experience when other file sharing sites do it 10x better for free. if you paid for this service i’d recommend doing a charge back with your bank for not being provided with the service that’s advertised like i did.

not good for editors
i get you need to make money and want people to buy pro but like i cant download a single scenepack in full without a message popping up saying “transfer quota exceeded”. its so annoying and honestly makes the app not even worth it unless ur downloading one single clip, which i know damn well no one is doing if they’re actually trying to make an edit. its better to record ur own clips atp 😭✌️✌️

I have been using the free version of Mega to store family photos and videos for years. I hit limit of storage a long time ago. I just opened the app and the ad on the bottom was showing inappropriate photos of my daughter using what looked like AI and other very suggestive photos. I am disgusted and will be taking all of my stuff off their platform!!! 😡😡😡😡
Why change everything
I use to be able to sort my folders by video and then I would change it to thumbnail view but now that’s completely gone. You can only sort it by video by using the search bar which is dumb. Now I can’t look through my videos. Why fix something that is not broken??
No Email Verification
I have tried sending the email for verification maybe 10 times now and it’s never sends. Not in spam either. Starting to think this app isn’t real.

i cant even upload a video . after my first three files i put in a public folder now when i try to upload anything it doesnt even load . annoying .
Total garbage
This is honestly the worst app that I have ever used it's laggy and unresponsive it just straight up does not work total and utter garbage mind you I'm also using it on multiple devices I've tried it on an iPhone and iPad and even a Apple laptop. Doesn't work worth a damn on any of them. Unfortunately I am being forced to use this for my application ..

Trash App
Deletes your data for inactivity. Which is ridiculous because i’m just using it for storage and i’m not even out of space. Wouldn’t recommend. Use Dropbox, Pcloud or 4Shared. Stay away from this
Scam
They want you to upgrade after only watching 30 mins of video and it has not download indicator say downloading nothing happens. Export doesn’t work best guess they are selling data they collect and taxing on basic functionality. Pathetic excuse for a business
Don’t use this service
Unfortunately I don’t like giving bad reviews and this one takes the cake so basically mega has a download limit this service isn’t for you oh you want us to respond to you more quickly ohh well at least be paying for a subscription then we’ll answer to you more quickly didn’t know this Service is like that so I definitely would not recommend doing business with mega so unfortunately I had to figure out other workarounds just to be able to download something it’s gonna be slow how I’m going about it but I am gonna stop using this service eventually tho and it’s probably going to be soon

Incompetent devs
Creating an account in app is obnoxious, confirmation email never sent, have to retype generated password into browser during confirmation. videos take 20 seconds to play and stutter horrendously and I have stable 500mb down WiFi.
Don't save anything important if you go over the free storage limit
It's a good app, however i had downloaded a gigantic file that came a MEGA zip, which sent the storage limit way over. When it was asking me to pay to expand it eventually just said it was going to delete my files, which it did... all of it. I didn't have the money at the time and now that I do now i seriously wish I could have gotten it back because I've had really old and currently unattainable files just saved in there that are just gone now. So basically just don't go over the storage limit or pay and you'll be fine, but i genuinely wish it just kept the files saved in case you were going to pay for it even if it was later down the line. Now I really have no reason to use the app anymore simply because I don't have anything important here anymore and there are better things that won't gut your files.

What’s with these updates that nobody asked for? Make the interface more customizable
I’ve even contacted the support team regarding the unnecessary update to the changes in sorting my files. Months of contacting them to no avail. They keep telling me to do the same thing over and over, which is report through the app (which is what I already did to make my initial report to them). Customer service sucks

i’ve been trying to get on my account but i don’t have a recovery key nor have i EVER seen it and if i try to make a new account with that email and a different one i can’t do it and it’s pissing me off like omg
Great for storage, but kiddie porn ads made me leave
I’ve been using Mega for a long time. Functionally, I prefer it over alternatives like Dropbox and Box.net. However, the banner ads are almost always borderline kiddie porn. Absolutely not.

this app is extremely frustrating because about 80% of the time i can’t even get into the app i’ve done everything that it says to do but i always get stuck on connecting to the server
