Can’t take it any longer!
Excel used to be so reliable. After retiring, I only use for home and small business purposes. I just spent over an hour making spreadsheet updates that did NOT save despite having auto save enabled. This has occurred many times over the last 1-2 years and each time I just go ahead and reconstruct the missing updates. Is recovery only possible if using One Drive? If so, that’s terrible. I will likely cancel my subscription and just use IOS Numbers app - for free! I cannot continue with this frustration.

Can’t print without turning on all of the Connected Services
Printing worked fine until this update. I now have to enable all of the Connected Services to print. This raises serious security issues in that Microsoft retains much of the private information that is contained in a spreadsheet.

Excel has gone downhill
The Excel app for iPhone used to be great, but basic functional features (e.g. text loupes inside cells, moving rows and columns, etc.) don’t work properly if at all.
VERY annoying Copilot
Microsoft added Copilot, and now I have a Copilot icon blocking my view of cells in the lower right corner of my spreadsheet and have no way to turn it off or make it go away.

Always asks for review when I’m trying to use the software. Always.
Difficult to use across devices.
I pay to have a subscription through Apple every year, and it does allow me to use across all devices. However it tells me I don’t have a subscription every time I try to use it through my phone or iPad. So I can’t actually use it is it the time. And of course there’s no way around it and no help is actually given by customer service.

Zero Stars due to Capcha Nonsense
Title says it all…. I’m giving every published Microsoft app the lowest possible rating due to their ridiculous Captcha requirements when trying to simply auth to one of my hotmail accounts.

I have the auto save on and I exited a file after working on it all day. I go back and it says file not found. I was not able to recover it and all my work got deleted
Absolute Trash
I can't express enough how trash this application is with keyboard and mouse. The right click function is broken - it can't decide between apples right click option menu and excel's. This app struggles to sort a basic two column table on the M4 pro model and in what universe is left click and drag automatically a "move" command. I can't even shift select multiple cells without it stubbornly selecting the wrong column. Seriously. ABSOLUTE TRASH.

It’s absolutely insane to me how you can’t just edit tables to have the information you want. You have to enter the data into cells just the right way for data to show up correctly.

UPDATE: It’s gotten worse. Now, when I delete the app and redownload, it crashes the first time; after a force quit it will open the doc, but the problem I had with text entry is still there. So now I can’t even fix it for a little while.
It stopped working with the update to the liquid glass version. The bugs have changed some with updates since but it’s still broken. My current biggest issue now is getting a contextual menu for text in the formula bar-it works for a few hours, but then simply won’t, so if you need to revise what’s there you’re out of luck. I have to delete the app and re-download. Most annoying!

Can’t Open Any Sheets Right Now
Whatever previous update they did broke the app.

The app really limits usability. Especially the file viewing setup. There is no way to customize the recents page, of size of each thumbnail. They take up the entire display and also do not display the actual sheet, its just blank.
Recent files are not shared across devices, so when I create a file on my ipad, it wont show up anywhere on my recents on my phone unless I manually search for it. Theres no way to sort files when browsing. I frequently get in app errors. Like failed to remove from list, or failed to close, things like that. When in a spreadsheet, the different sheets are hidden and you have to click multiple menus to change within a sheet. I don’t want recommendations for what I frequently open, I just want a chronological list of files sorted by the date they were created.

Stop asking me to review stuff and promote you. This is absolutely torture to use on an iPhone or a tablet. I hate it. It is so inefficient.

Sucks right now - very slow to load
All the files I try to open up on iOS or iPadOS take many minutes to load. These are <1MB. What is wrong? Not good.

One issue after another
MS fixes one issue, breaks something else. Long press to move cursor in formula bar doesn’t work now… And copy/paste doesn’t work between spreadsheets. Guess that’s a Feature now, MS doesn’t seem to care to fix.

I have had a subscription for several years. It renewed yesterday and now I can’t access the software. They make it very difficult to,figure out how to fix it.
What the heck!!
I don’t know what’s going on with Excel but something is. Created a simple spreadsheet, suddenly I get the message that the serve can’t be reached to convert it. This went on three days. Tried to work on it again and now I get that I’m out of memory!!

Honestly the sign in process and security theater is so wildly cumbersome that I end up using other apps. Despite having modern phone/Face ID/stored passwords/generally tech savy I almost never am able to have the app autofill username or password. What should be a couple steps to open the app and make some notes becomes a time wasting debacle. Let alone being in a situation with no internet service and can’t edit because the system can’t authenticate.

One Drive or No Autosave?
I have had an office 365 subscription for over a decade. I want to save things to my computer… you can NO AUTO-SAVE unless you use ONEDRIVE?????. My new windows 11 laptop was full of bloatware and shows me ADs it wasn’t a cheap machine Come On Microslop… enough is enough
Authentication, password verification login in process

The process has become cumbersome with security that logging on has become very irritating.
If I have a file that needs to be protected, it’s my job to secure it. You have the process backwards. For I do for spreadsheets does not require 3 layers of login.
