Microsoft security is pathetic!
This MS app is so ridiculous! It suddenly needs me to log in every time I open the app. Then, before I enter anything at all it has a red message saying I’ve tried too many times and will have to wait! This isn’t my bank information, it’s a TO DO list !!!!! If I can get signed in somehow (this is the 4th day trying) I’ll copy/paste my list to a much more manageable app!
Update: I got away from this terrible app for a few days and tried again. After banging my head against the proverbial wall a few more times I finally did get logged in! I found that I was able to share each entire list (including completed items) and SMS message them to myself. At least I was able to get the list info so I can try a new app. I do appreciate good cyber security, but when it goes so far as to keeping the rightful owner from doing any useful task it’s no longer helpful!!

Unusable - Defective Security System
In order to use this app, Microsoft requires a two-factor authentication security system. You must input a code that Microsoft sends to your alternative email address. However, they never send that email, despite multiple requests to resend it, so you never get a code to enter to use the app. Complete and utter waste of time.
Need an account to use
Why? I just want a good offline useable to do app on my unsupported iPhone that gets no security updates.

Utterly ruined this app
Got worse with every update. Can no longer easily move items around (think grocery list organization). What had been a simple drag and drop operation became an insanely cumbersome process of opening another menu, choosing reorder, and then pressing an up or down arrow dozens of times (and the item moves after each tap. Repeat this for every item and you are adding literally hundreds of steps for a grocery list of 25 items.

App constantly shuts down when I try to open it on my iPhone (NEED Help!)
Used to be great iPhone but NOW Why does the Phone App Constantly shut down immediately after I open it 2 ? Would be 5 star otherwise. Can’t figure it out and of course no live in person service with Microsoft. Unless I’m just overlooking things?? The app works great on laptop b
Won’t send text verification
I got a new phone. When I try to log in to this app on it it makes me go through the ridiculous are you human thing only to not send a code. If I close and restart the app and click send code again it says this method isn’t working right now, if I try to use my password instead it tells me its wrong even though I know it’s not. There’s no forgot password option and there’s no resend verification code option. Absolutely ridiculous.
Garbage
It wants me to prove im human so i gold my finger down on the bar, it does the check mark and does the three loading dots and i take my finger off and it says try again. How many times do you want me to do it again after a dozen times that I’ve already done it? It’s literally impossible to create an account. This app is total garbage.
Doesn’t want you to use it
Unless spending an unnecessary amount of time performing tedious bs is also part of your to do list, I’d just use another app. Made logging in so difficult I could’ve just skipped making the list and gotten my stuff done. So much bs worried if I’m a robot or not they forgot to ask if I’m a human who actually wants to use the app
To Do app won’t open
For a month now the app loaded slowly, and but now it doesn’t load at all. (I can’t delete the app and reload without losing my data.) Unbelievably buggy!
Widget Incompatible with new iOS
The widget is not visible when setting the homescreen to clear/grayscale using features in the new iOS. The app itself functions fine otherwise

This app consistently does not sync tasks between the desktop and mobile. It is a horrible user experience and that is a shame because this is a wonderful program.

It used to let me check my list off and add stuff to my list without having to open the app up. Now I can’t do that no matter what I do. Would have been 5 star if I had that feature back.

Drag feature is broken
I can no longer drag items in my list to rearrange them which is driving me crazy. Please fix this 🙏
Missing features.
Missing features and virtually none added over time of years and years. ToDo should have ALL the features of Outlook Tasks. And developer access like Outlook Tasks. Task Prioritization is a joke. There are thousands of feature suggestions on the site that I wonder if they are ever even considered. I’ve been looking for a replacement for the Outlook (with mail, calendar AND tasks since Outlook Tasks were so selfishly ended and virtually worthless ToDo implemented. Oh yeah, too much concentration on team and sharing nonsense I think is part of the problem. Perhaps the worst task planning app ever.

It doesn’t seem like anyone works on this product anymore. It takes 20 seconds to load on a brand new iPhone which is simply too long for a to-do list. Fix this!

If you can’t add & filter by categories, then Apple Reminders app is all you need. No need for a third party app.

Needs more love
I honestly love this app but I can definitely tell that Microsoft has severely forgotten about it. The notifications are trash and the widgets could be more interactive and powerful with a few updates. Integration with outlook and notes could have made this app and the Microsoft ecosystem an ultimate powerhouse if they only gave it some attention. Missed opportunity for those that love this simple interface with no adds but IG if it doesn’t generate revenue it’s not worth their time. A completely shame.

Please make a feature--
I like everything else about this app. But I WISH y’all would make the ability to make a to do list for tomorrow! It needs less friction. At night I like to plan my day for tomorrow and it’s nearly impossible (or very complicated and tedious) to place those lists on my “today” section for a list without that friction. Also please make more cool backgrounds.
Multiple Accounts Not Available for iOS
Love the app, but the inability to have multiple accounts (i.e. 365 for work and hotmail for personal) make it impractical for me to use. I will look at it again if multiple accounts is enabled for iOS.
Unintuitive Design/Feature Lack
Microsoft To Do is a very unintuitive app. It also lacks many features which are very common in Todoist. I currently use it as it’s the mandated app for a job - but it would not be my pick.
It seems to have been developed rather lazily - no matter the programming language, it’s definitely improbable.
The lack of development effort is quite frankly disappointing - no major copilot/ai integration - no new updates, it seems to have been made and then abandoned. Please Microsoft, I know you can do better.

Unable to Rank Priorities
I have been using a similar app for several years and loved it. Sadly, the developer died and I must find a replacement. While this app is relatively simple to use and the price is right, it does not have one of the features that I depend on-the ability to prioritize my tasks with a minimum scale of no, low, medium and high priority.
Good for basic lists, not much more
It’s pretty basic. Would like to see categories, prioritization. Better integration between desktop / web / mobile. Much as I want to stay in MSFT ecosystem this app is a laggard and insufficient.
How is Microsoft still in Business
Glitch heavy app. It’s a to do list and this company can’t seem to pull off something this simple. Truly embarrassing. A twelve year old with Gemini could create a better product.
