Etc. worthless not paying $10 a month or $70 a year for this bull.

Unauthorized charge on my card
I signed up for a trial, but never got asked to approve you just took $70 out of my account and now it’s taking a while to get it refunded. If you just charge me for one month, I probably would’ve been fine with it but $70 at once is way too much and this isn’t worth it. Nobody is here to communicate. Nobody’s answering the phones. I don’t like giving my money to impersonal companies.

I’ve been using this app for several years now.
While it does record the trips fairly well, trying to sort them is a whole different matter.
While preparing my taxes recently, I needed to make some changes to the reason for trips in some trips I’d previously categorised. I un-merged one set of trips that were all categorised as business, and when I went to adjust a few of them to personal, it wouldn’t allow it and I got a message saying to contact support.
“Support” is a strong use of the word in this case. I waited on hold for over 30minutes, and then requested a call back. The person I got was zero help, and I could barely hear her for all the noise in the background (kids etc.). When I finally gave up and told her I’m just going to cancel my subscription, she replied; “is there anything else I can help you with?” And then hung up!
Another issue I have is that when I put in a date range of one day, double check that is all that was bought up for that one day, and then selected change category to “personal”, it changed all of the 142 trips that I hadn’t yet categorised! (Hence the customer “support” call).
I really have tried to like this app, and I’ve certainly given it a fair try, but the final straw is when I download my trips for tax return, I get an excel worksheet that’s like alphabet salad! Yes there’s other formats, but they’re not much better.
The app also records every single walk morning and night that I take my dogs on, and it even gets that wrong.
I’m going to try, and hope that the app, MileIQ is better than this.

ZERO SUPPORT
I could not log into my account on my PC so I reset the password now all my information is gone. I’ve paid for the app. I’ve reset my password. Several times. I may have made a mistake of using a different email because Apple iOS added one of those hidden generated email address. So finally, I that Apple email address reset password again and still I’ve lost all my data. It’s very frustrating every time I contact support it (bot) tells me to reset my password.
Terrible Customer Support
Been back and forth with support on an issue. They tell me they can’t help me because I paid through Apple. I reply with a receipt that I bought through their website directly. They will not and have not replied back In over a week. Just ignoring me. Cannot recommend this company. Glad I’m going to a competitor with more integration to gig apps and integrity.
Hard to get your money!!!
They must be having money problems! It’s always take longer than they say to get your money! To think gas prices going up every day that makes it harder on us!
Hijacks the top third of your screen every time you start driving…
Tracks every trip. It does that. But if you sit for any length of time, and you start driving, it pops up on the top third of your screen every time. Stays there for about seven seconds. It can be dangerous at times because you are looking at your GPS and this thing gets right in the way. I looked in settings and I cannot find any place to change that. Just wanted to give everybody a heads up.
Don’t bother unless you’re willing to pay for the service
I have been using the free version off the app for roughly 3 weeks and the app does have some confusing features that make you try to waste your trips if you don’t understand what’s going on. It’s got a few bugs where it will duplicate a trip so you have to pay attention and it will absolutely kill your battery life and wants access to things that it shouldn’t to work properly. If you’re willing to pay for the service because the free version limits your trips while constantly wasting them on purpose then it’s not bad for keeping track. You will need to be able to constantly have a charger hooked up to your device though otherwise it will be dead in no time.
