Can’t cancel with refund.
My 9 year old uploaded and immediately deleted, but I still was charged on renewal date after trial. I called immediately and have been fighting for a refund. We don’t have the app, nor can my 9 year old use it. We are now involving PayPal. This company has the worst customer service. My son feels bad for even trying it out for a few hours. BEWARE!!!!

Used to be Great
Used to love this app because you were able to learn as much as you wanted if you got questions correct. It was like rewarding yourself for learning! Now you’re stuck with 2 lessons a day or spend $90 on a pro plan. Paywalling information and the opportunity to learn should be a crime

The key system
The key system is super annoying, so please remove it or get a FREE way to get more.
The new keys update is THE WORSE
The aim of the app completely shifted with the new update from offering free courses with an optional subscription to forcing people to pay if they want to practice more than 2 lessons a day!! The 5 hearts approach used before was perfect, why would they shift from that unless they are greedy & priorities maximum profit over everything else!!!
Horrible
Now it’s all pay you literally get two keys now and that’s it. I like a part of it and I don’t have own and if I mess up on those so stressed, but Jesus Christ, why are you guys making it harder for people have less money to learn like I can’t buy keys I can’t do anything. I have to pay for your subscription and I don’t want to this is a scam. I fix it literally last night. I had hearts now I don’t. I’m gonna go find somewhere else.
Truly Sad
This saddens to say this, but Mimo is not great anymore ever since they added the key system. You don’t learn anything now because no matter how many times you fail, they let you continue. But only for two lessons a day. Unless you pay for premium. Another app ruined by greed.

I appreciate the time and effort that went into making this app. Also appreciate the trial period. Unfortunately, after cancelling the subscription, still got charged and as of writing this, have not heard anything back from this developer.
More paywalls
The more they add to the app, the more they put existing features behind a paywall. App is not worth your time unless you pay $90 for a subscription..

Be careful after trial you’ll be charged $90 and there is no way to get them back.
Learn Somewhere Else
Started strong, but became woefully inadequate as learning progressed. Save your time and your money and find a different learning suite.
Free Users Have Nothing Now
I guess they weren’t making enough money on ads so they removed hearts and changed the system so even if your code is perfect when you’re learning, you get throttled every day. I’ve paid for Max tier before, but wasn’t going to give every student in my class Max tier, but now I guess we’ll be switching to SoloLearn or someone other platform where they can learn more for free.
This app WAS awesome
I think this app was great until they only game you 2 keys a day. Thats so cheap, like come on.
Keys ruined it
The heart system was great and it encouraged careful coding and reading instructions carefully. The keys system seriously limits what you are able to learn each days and makes this app pay to play. Bring back the heart system and this app is easily 5/5
Paid membership Account non functional
Horrid experience Horrid support. Asked for refund and they told my they can't help and to call Apple. Better options. Apple refused to refund me too. What a joke out $12.49 for an app that didn't work. No more App Store for me and no more Mimo Get a bit upset when I think about it

Free option is mostly useless
This seems like a relatively easy thing to use and it’s enjoyable. It seems to work in a similar fashion to Duolingo, but for coding. Unfortunately, being limited to two lessons a day is useless. Now, if you only have time for two lessons a day then I guess it’s OK, but it took me less than five minutes and I had far more time set aside for this. I would like to have more options within the free option, at least create a way to earn keys without having to pay.

The app use to work perfectly fine was my favorite coding/ programming app to learn how to code now I just can’t access it at all
Interface fights you endlessly
Its editor on mobile will fight you endlessly, and I spend half of my time on each lesson just deleting and editing tags (especially closing ones) that it put in the wrong places. I would prefer typing everything out vs having to try to delete closing tags just to be forced to delete and reenter other things that didn’t need to be deleted. If you try to delete and re-add text to save time since the interface and editor fights you so hard, and you retyped the EXACT same text, such as “roar” the app will say that you got the lesson wrong until trumpets sound and kingdom come. Thirdly, if you try something, and it says you edits are wrong, and then you try something else, and tap on “see solution” the solution will be the EXACT same thing that you tried in the first place. So, I’m subtracting one star for the interface fighting the user, another star for not being able to retype text that you had to delete as a result of the uncooperative interface, and a third star for it telling you a solution is wrong when it was, in fact, correct.

Update : why I’m giving this a three star is that during practice when you fail. Mimo doesn’t explain why your answer is wrong. So they won’t be chance for you to improve on that particular question.
Learning is fun and very enjoyable! I recommend using Mimo. It’s perfect for both beginners and for people wanting to learn afresh.

Greedy
I like Mimo, but recently they removed a good feature where a person gets five hearts. These represent the number of times you can try to get the right correct answer before you have to wait for them to refill. However, they replaced it with a less superior and honestly greedy system where you only get two keys and once you use them you cannot progress any further in learning or expanding your knowledge. If you want to continue learning you have to pay unlike the previous system where you could keep going until you ran out of hearts. I really hope they bring back the old system and move away from this obvious attempt to get more money out of the users.
it WAS a 5/5 until keys
The introduction of the keys system to push you towards subscribing isn't great. I was pretty enthusiastic about using the app beforehand and telling others about it... but the keys just... it limits what you can do and it breaks the leaderboards.
