Scammers
I clicked on this app in Facebook to look at a recipe and it somehow unknowingly signed me up for a free week and a yearly subscription after that. After not recognizing the charge, I canceled my bank card and had to go through all that hassle just to even figure out what it was. They would not refund me and now I don’t even have an account even though I paid for an entire year so I can’t access for what they charged me for fraudulently. Buyer beware shady company with bad morals.
False Advertising Free Trial
The app explicitly advertises a 2 week free trial but will sneakily charge you after 1 week when you don’t read the fine print on the app download. Then they’ll tell you that you have to take the claim up with Apple, but Apple will tell you to talk the makers of the app. So your money is gone forever. Oh and it automatically signs you up for a whole year subscription after 1 week.
Picking meals and the ingredients
I love the recipes but when I pick the meals and it gives me the option to share the ingredients they go into cyber space
Terrible Customer Service
The recipes are good and I would be interested in revising this review on the merits of the food alone, but right now the Customer Service has me tearing my hair out. It is “managed” by “Charlie” an AI that has no memory of the past conversations we’ve had so we’re going around in circles. I’ve been hoping a human will insert themselves into the process as there is only one email to contact the company, but as of today I’ve had no luck after 4 emails. If you’ve never had a problem with an app account or service, then by all means sign up. I highly recommend steering clear otherwise. I’m trying to use the service, (not cancel it) and this is my experience. Eek.
Horrible app design
Cannot tell which recipes will actually be good, cannot find recipes easily, and hard to follow instructions. I wouldn’t recommend this app
Can’t comment on the app
The app promises to have tried the recipes before hand but they are not that good. I TRIED to comment a review and it wasn’t allowed. I’ll comment it here:
Baked Paprika Cod:
the fish and the peas don’t go well together. The components are too savory and don’t blend well. The vinegar is also an overkill on the peas 1/5

Lacks flavor
It really advertises that it uses unique flavors but then tells you to boil spinach and chicken . Over all really disappointed in the recipes here. Gochuchang sausage ragu but the gochuchange is overpowered, boiled chicken in chipotle paste but boiled chicken tastes like boiled chicken… boil spinach and add to eggs 🙃 just throw the spinach on top it will shrink… its like they used ai instead of common sense to write these recipes
No Recipes for Paid Subscriber
This app is an absolute scam. Shame on Apple for leaving it in the App Store. There is no access to anything in the app. You have to buy a subscription. Fine I bought a subscription. There are still no recipes in this garbage app. It is just a pure scam
Not worth the price or the hassle of dealing kind but unhelpful customer service
I don’t write reviews often, but I am super disappointed with Mob and Apple and feel taken advantage of during an already difficult time. The app provides very little value for the $65 charge. I believed I canceled my trial and never used the service or tried any of the recipes, yet I was still billed. When I checked my subscription, it showed as “canceled,” but Mob’s support-though polite-was ultimately unhelpful and referred me to Apple. Apple then explained that Mob had already collected the payment and that I now owe Apple. Both companies keep pointing fingers instead of resolving a clear customer issue. This feels like an intentional money grab, while customer service employees are just doing their job to politely keep “expectations” low, the 3rd party blame game is a frustrating experience that others should be aware of.
Nah
Free trial is not the same as a free plan
Too expensive to try
I’m not committing to a big payment the first time I’m in the app just looking around. The trial structure is limiting.
Don’t do the trial
Don’t even sign up for trial
I didn’t like the app
I didn’t like the app, but I didn’t have time to remove the subscription. Because the application doesn’t work without a subscription. I contacted support twice and I was refused. The refund works disgustingly. The application is not convenient to navigate.
Looks like a great app, is unusable
I don’t normally write reviews, however I was excited to use this app. Went through the setup process and was met with the number one problems with apps today- Unavoidable aggressive monetization and subscriptions.
After creating an account you are met with an unavoidable “start your 7 day free trial” screen, that requires you to authorize the app to charge you for a yearly subscription after you click start.
I’m not against subscriptions for things I find useful and like, but I am against being forced into them without choice.
Zero stars until fixed.

lol
Imagine paying $50/year for recipes that are free on the internet. Get outta here.
Didn’t work
It opens to an empty screen. Pass.
App would work
App wouldn’t open at all. Blank screen every time.
Can’t do anything after signing in
I found this app and thought I would give it a try, but after setting up an account using “Sign up with Apple”, the screen went white and nothing appeared. I waited for a few minutes and tried deleting and reinstalling. It’s too bad. Seems like a cool app.
App doesn’t work
I just downloaded the app. As I’m clicking through the first couple welcome slides I come across a page (tell us more about you) and there’s no further clickthroughs. Just a white page with no buttons.
I DONT HAVE MONEY 😠😭
Um ….. u should have said you had to pay for it >:[
Good recipes, terrible app
I finally decided to do the free trial for this because I’m a busy overwhelmed mom and I can use all the help I can get. The recipes look amazing. That is IF I could actually see them! Once I click on each recipe it’s just stuck in a loading screen. Every. Single. One. Their “magic meal planner” also did absolutely nothing. I tried it multiple different ways and it comes up with zero options. Lol is it just me? There’s such good reviews for this app. I’m hoping it’s just a glitch today or something but Ive already canceled my free trial 10 minutes after trying it. Such a disappointment. I could actually do more with this app BEFORE I did the free trial.
Have To Pay
lazy app created to trick you into subscribing, do not download cannot use unless you pay, super cringe
Paid App (Subscription)
Saw an ad for this and thought it would be helpful. Despite being free on the App Store, you can not proceed with using the app unless you buy a monthly subscription. There is a free trial, but as others note, very difficult to cancel.
Don’t download
Don’t download this, App you have to pay to use it
Unhelpful for allergies
No gluten free options
Can’t cancel
Don’t bother with the free trial as you can’t cancel their subscription at this time without waiting on customer service to get back to you every 2 days. Trial is 5 days. So you have a limited chance of them helping you. Would not recommend.
Biggest scam
They take your money and it’s impossible to cancel. Scam alert. Also they don’t understand that for a UK company, they should bill in USD
Poor editing spoils good recipes
First the good news, this app contains some genuinely excellent recipes, the bad news…
The shopping list generated does not match the recipes (I ended up short of some ingredients and with excess of others with no obvious pattern)
The quantities are inconsistent with regard to imperial or metric.
The scaling works well for the recipe quantities (although it leaves some very odd numbers instead of just rounding), but does not scale anything in the recipe text example in a recipe scaled for four, it says to divide into three bowls
The recipes are poorly edited, I wonder if AI had a hand in them. Ingredients appear in the text without being listed, it’s often unclear what needs to be done to an ingredient or it is introduced at an inconvenient time (put something in a hot pan, then chop onions)
Such a shame, the three recipes I made were tasty, but they were harder to make than they should have due to poor instruction. One of the recipes created a suspiciously massive amount. The shopping list feature is untrustworthy to the point of being useless.
Promising app but needs a ton of work

Good idea, but haven’t been able to use it
I liked the concept of Mob, and got a trial membership to check out what the app looks like (can’t see it without signing up). When I logged back in to cancel it half an hour later, it said that I didn’t have a membership? I forgot to email the customer support that day which is totally my fault, but when I got charged and emailed them about a refund, they said it was against their policy. Worse, I thought I would be charged for a month but I got charged for an entire year of the membership. I was disappointed with the customer care but because it was largely my fault for not reaching out earlier, I understand.
For the app itself, I started using it just because of the membership. While again, I love the concept, there a few things that make it unusable for me. I spent hours going through the recipies and finding the ones I like, but in the 2-3 weeks I have had the app, I could not cook any. In part, this is because each recipe needs a complete set of specialized ingredients which need to be bought. I wish they had substitutes because I donot want to buy “sambal oelek” for one Thai recipe, and “golden mountain seasoning sauce” for another. My pantry has a basic set of ingredients, and I would’ve appreciated suggested alternatives to the listed ingredients.
The second thing that bothers me is the way quantities are mentioned. For example, how much is 3/4 oz basil leaves?? It would be helpful to have additional description for how much of the ingredient is required.
In the end, I spent money on this app, more money on ingredients I didn’t need, spent time finding recipes, more time trying to understand the recipe, and ended up ditching the recipe completely and winging it because that is quicker.
2 stars because some recipes are nice, they have good ideas and overall concept is good. It’s just not usable for me.

Wish it worked
The recipes look fantastic. Easy to follow and simple enough. However, the meal planning functionality simply doesn’t work. The grocery list would show up empty. Additionally, the website and phone app aren’t compatible and do not sync. I really wish it was functional because the recipes look fantastic.
Recipes not as quick & easy as they advertise
I like how easy the app is to navigate and how protein rich the recipes are. That said, the total cooking time estimates are half what they should be and make it seem like these recipes are more simple than they really are. I also don’t like that you can’t copy the text.
Poorly written recipes
Recipes are ok. Not good. But ok. They are very poorly written, so if you followed them in order, it would take 3 hours to make anything. The order of instructions is nonsensical and has written by chat got vibes. The auto-yearly subscription is a scam. Impossible to cancel after trying two or three recipes and realizing this app is a joke. Skip it.
$$$
Sounds like an amazing idea right! Yeah I thought so too until I went through the whole signup process only to be bombarded by a free trial and the monthly fee! So if you don’t want to spend money on stuff don’t waste your time downloading this app and signing up. I’ll just keep searching the internet for recipes I guess
