Save your money!!
This was not worth the cost to download the app. It’s not very helpful and I feel like the same information can be found with a quick (and free) google search. The presentation is poor and it would be helpful to have common products and brands listed. I searched a variety of products and rarely did I find a product on the list. All in all there are better apps/better web search options to help.
Contradictory Information
Unsure if any of the information is reliable as under “food guide” they have “broccoli heads only, raw” listed twice - once as green and once as red at the exact same measurements. Super frustrating, especially in a paid app.
Can’t view the Recipes
Reason why I got this app was for the recipes and they don’t even open! Waste of money!
If you like going around in circles
I think this app is grossly overrated and not user friendly at ALL. Evidently it’s supposed to be the best but I need a tutorial, I guess, because I’m just going in circles trying to verify if what I want to eat is low-FODMAP friendly and getting nowhere-but HUNGRY.
Not good
Can’t get recipes to come up at all!!!!!!!! I’m not satisfied!!!!!!
Not worth it
Good for basic fruits & veg as you’re learning, but anything else? Forget it. The library is not extensive and as other reviews have pointed out, not useful in the USA.
Erased My Diary!!
I used this app for years to log in my symptoms. The diary went back several years. I used it often to go over with my doctor. Today I open the app and after the update they erased the years of my diary that I have been relating on. I’m devastated. Thanks for the heads up.
Not US compatible
Most products and brands listed are not in the United States
Really?!
Cannot access the recipes this is ridiculous. To be a leader and primary source in the area of Fodmaps this is a joke.
Eight dollars and barely any recipes. I want my money back.
I purchased this thinking there would be so many recipes making it easier for my low FODMAP journey. This is as useful as Google search
Latest update erased years of data!!!! Resolution????
How do I recover the years of data that appear to be lost (from the diary portion of the app) after updating the app? This is incredibly frustrating, as there is no warning about this and it’s bizarre that it’s even possible in 2025. Please advise me about how the data can be recovered, because if this isn’t resolved I won’t be using this app again. Why keep a diary that can be deleted randomly? Useless.
Charged for purchase without knowing
I recently downloaded the app that was a FREE download but was charged later that day for $7.99 after only browsing the app once. I requested a refund from Apple for this unprompted charge and am waiting for a response.
Database is useless
Doesn’t allow refunds? What a scam. This is supposed to be a database of foods with fodmap scores but they don’t have any foods that a normal person would eat, just a bunch of expensive foods that are already labeled as low fodmap. Good luck finding any items from a regular grocery store. I wasted $8 on a useless app when I have to Google the fodmap content of any foods i actually plan to eat.
So much ad spyware
This app is constantly contacting Facebook, Google, etc. just look at the privacy report.
Not what I expected
First of all, there’s no search option. Under the Food Guide, most of the suggested foods are not available in the U.S., at least not at my neighborhood Kroger. I’d love to have help from a dietitian, but I’m not paying out of pocket. I’ll ask my NP to refer me to a nutritionist in my area, one whom my Medicare will cover.
Expensive Advertisment
a useless app that only promotes licensed products, offers little helpful information that isn’t easily accessible or complete and can be found elsewhere for free
Not great for the USA, not very comprehensive search results
Rather a waste of money if you are looking up foods. Many basic food are not included in the search which is what I expected. Not much for the USA. Nothing under oils for Lard, Tallow or other meat fats for example. Most brands are not USA brands so not recommended for use for the USA. No contact for help with using the app is readily found. Very disappointing.
Messed it up with latest update
With the latest update, I can no longer save a PDF of my report, nor can I email it to myself as a copy. What have you done? I have no idea where I can get some help so I decided to leave a bad review. Maybe somebody will see it and help. I use the iPhone version. I don’t understand why developers can’t leave well enough alone. I run into these problems all the time with software.
Useless
This would be great if you lived in Australia. I am USA based and there is so far only one product on the list that I can purchase in the USA. I wanted to make sure everyone knows it’s USELESS. Don’t buy it if you are American.
Lazy developers
If you are going to charge for an app at least try. This is no more than a list. They have a total of 8 breakfast recipes. Most include cheese or milk. One is just “jam” which is strawberries and sugar.
Bad Update Wipes Data
I installed the latest update and now all data from my diary is gone. I cannot recommend this app when it is built that poorly, and when the developers in charge don’t do any verification that the update they’re about to apply won’t break existing features. Bad software design.
The design changes to the app aren’t good either, the latest updates have been a downgrade in every way.

Disappointed
Not nearly enough recipes, hard to navigate, and the recipes that they do have were still quite problematic. Definitely do not waste your money, a massive disappointment of an app
Beware new update
I just updated the app and found that it erased ALL of my diary entries. I’ve been tracking for a long time so this is a big loss of data for me. I’ll no longer use this app for tracking as it’s no longer reliable and I’m very disappointed considering this is a paid app. Just wow…
Pointless, frustrating UI changes in 4.0.2
What was the goal of changing the Diary add record / create report AND the save / cancel buttons? That change has reversed the positions of both functions, which means anyone who had been using the app and has muscle memory for making entries is now automatically touching the wrong buttons every single time they want to add to the diary. Was the point to frustrate existing users? Well, you’ve succeeded.
All data erased with last update!
I have been diligently recording my diet and symptoms for 2 months. This morning, I decided to update the app and now ALL of that data is gone! So much work vanished in an instant. Up until today, I would have given the app a 4 star rating. I have appreciated the food guide, recipes, and ease with which to track everything. It wasn’t perfect-but it was a great resource. However losing 2 months worth of valuable data is unpardonable.
Filter by country
While looking through the list of all the low fodmap certified food, I have my country selected in the filter, yet I’m still seeing all the foods listed even if they are not in my country. Please fix!!!
Not comprehensive
Half the things I look up are not on here.
Refund
You know that I can’t get a refund from Apple, the way you set up the App doesn’t make it eligible. And I still canceled and deleted the app with in 3 hours.
You can keep the eight dollars or whatever.
I hope this information is helpful to you, please DO NOT contact me if you have any other questions.
Best regards

Sorry I paid for this
Just bought this app and right off the top, the first two categories of foods are “Low FODMAP Certified Foods” and “Low FODMAP Certified Meals” which are nothing more than a list of PROCESSED GARBAGE.” very disappointed. Total waste of money.
Not helpful
I can’t look up food while I’m grocery shopping. Anything I type I. It says it doesn’t exist. Very few recipes. I expected more from an app that costs $8.00. I wouldn’t purchase this. I’d like my money back. Not only is my gi tract irritated now.
I don’t see anywhere to scan products
I bought this app because someone mentioned scanning products but I see no where to scan products. The app feels pretty generic and you can just google stuff instead.
Not very functional. Minimal recipes. Not worth the money.
Not helpful.
App is painful to use
Really challenging to use the app UX makes no sense :(
Spam sellers
Rated 1 for immediately giving my email away to spammers, and for the embedded ads. For a paid app this is unacceptable.
Wanted to support research.
Then you forced me to provide an email address, and still showed adds for meals through modify health… even the course you offer through your app is even more money…
Worst $7.99 I’ve ever spent
This app is horrible. Missing pretty basic foods. Doesn’t actually have comprehensive list of compliant brands, just pushes meal delivery services. The recipes contradict their own fodmap ratings! That’s crazy! I regret purchasing this. I have no idea how they are the world leader in the field and this was all they came up with. This information should be free anyway, so I’m doubly sick that I paid for this subpar scam of an app
Uselessly Limited Food Guide
Food guide answers only the most basic of broad foods. No data on common brands and foods. Much better to just google and add FODMAP to the end. Deleted and requested refund the first day.
Buttons don't work
I have tried to submit feedback but that button doesn't work. I was trying to submit feedback about how when I want to download or send my diary the send button doesn't work either. Seems like this app is buggy and no one is fixing it. I want to like it but it's hard when the features I need don't work
Useless if You Live in the U.S.
I spent the $8 on this app, because it comes highly recommended by dieticians and gastroenterologists for patients with IBS, who need some help following the fodmap diet, which can be tricky, especially for beginners. This app is a total waste of time and money. I thought I could look up common U.S. food items, and I found stuff that I’ve never even heard of before. With some of the food items, you can’t change the serving size to see how the amounts of the different fodmaps change. It also doesn’t have a barcode scanner, so that you can go to the store and scan the barcodes of foods you may want to eat, and check out the fodmaps in them, and create a library of your foods and do meal planning. This app needs way more work before it’s worth anyone’s time or money.
So much lost potential
So this app could so easily be fixed I want to scream. It’s like whoever made it never went grocery shopping. You know what would be fantastic? Make a section in filtering for the app of what you CANNOT eat when you’ve know which carbs your sensitive too. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have an extensive complete list of what not to eat for sorbitol. But instead this app basically is set up so I have research any item I will ever be interested in eating and slowly have my soul get crushed when I have to find out piece by piece what I cannot eat. Why would you not give people more options for filtering???? It’s honestly disgusting considering this is a paid app
Not great if USA resident
Got the app mainly for the listing of food products that are safe and certified but found that 98% of the products are only sold in Australia Japan and Italy, practically nothing listed available in the USA.
Lacking
While there is some good information in this app, it’s basically just a list. No ability to check anything. No barcode scan. No sort feature. Under L”Snacks” there are a bunch of international entries I will never encounter and I cannot remove them. Get another app. I will be requesting a refund.
Life changing data. Mediocre presentation.
Learning about fodmaps changed my life. I’m so grateful for the work done by Monash.
The app though…..is not built that well. The data is shown one food at a time, so it’s hard to understand the big picture of which foods affect you. There’s the option to make a favorites list that helps a little, but it’s still not very good. I contacted Monash for the data as a spreadsheet so that I could sort and filter. They said no.
Grateful for the data. Irritated by the presentation.

Not user friendly
App is not so good. Wasted money. I should be able to mark down foods I can’t eat so it. Comes up with what I can. Like I’m vegan so want to be able to eliminate non vegan recipes and just show me the ones I can eat.
Terrible search option
You get better results from google. Really hard to find items. I don’t recommend.
Bad
While at first this app may have been one of the few around, there are far better resources. Being able to utilize Googles AI allows you to quickly search for specific foods.
SEARCH: horrible search. I often get nothing related to my search, even as simple as a banana gets mixed results.
RECIPES: there are maybe 20 recipes. They all stem from white American cuisine. Also, it mixes a lot with being healthy. Having minimal recipes that do not display diverse flavors really cuts your results.

Wouldn't have paid for this
$8 most of it looks "foreign". No oats/oatmeal? Hmm
Skip This Update
I found this app very useful until the latest update. Not only are my previous reintroductions gone, but the text is cut off in the reintroductions window so you can only guess what food you are supposed to be reintroducing. The text is there but only IF you are using the smallest possible font on your phone. I'm an older adult and can't read small fonts anymore. ☹️ This update does not consider the accessibility of those with poor eyesight. It's very disappointing and honestly, not very professional either. It's sad to see this happen to what used to be such a good resource.
Meh
I was hoping for a features similar to the Carb Manager App where you can scan and track the foods you are eating and then see the FODMAP score. This app doesn’t have specific foods I am looking for and is hard to use if you are trying to discover which products in the store are or are not FODMAP. I am disappointed that I purchased this app, even for only $8.
Not able to find foods
I have made sure the app is in US mode. I can’t foods that maybe canned vs. fresh/frozen.
