I used the app for years, when I got married I upgraded the subscription. I am really thinking to cancel my subscription now that I have only two months of 2025 and start over in another app, or maybe stay the year and to get another App for 2026, I will see. The strategy of the company is wrong making this kind of high price increases.

Terrible App
This app is not in any way user friendly. It’s not intuitive. I’d rather go back to the Stone Age and carve things into a tablet than use it. I want a refund.
Don’t go gold
Basic app is good. Able to add info to purchases edit etc. but when I upgraded to gold to get access to financial institutions, there is no more editing of entries. Can’t even enter entries into linked accounts. App states you can only add entries from planned entries but won’t link planned entries to downloaded entries from bank. All entries from bank fall under classification “ balance adjustment payments” then can’t edit, add info even simply can’t classify entry. Total worthless and a waste of $69 plus tax. Cancelled subscription.
Best Finance App I have used but no support
Over the years I have used multiple money tracking apps and I keep coming back to this one. The only thing missing is a budget report. Overall and compared to all of the other money tracking apps out there, this is the best I have tried including Money coach which I hated. I am an accountant and this app is far better than money coach

Lacks Modern Features But Increases in Subscription Cost!!!
I’ve been submitting feedback to this dev for sometime now and no change. This app has not changed or had significant UI upgrades in years. I’ve been a long time user and asked for simple basic things like Light and Dark mode theme, or Siri integration. Even a new UI refresh would be nice. Now the annual subscription is increasing without any explanation or update to app. This is still a functional app, but it hasn’t integrated any recent major iOS update functionality like iOS 17 or 18. Apps like Money Coach are looking very appealing with all their features!

❗️Yearly Subscription Increased 250%❗️
We have been using the Money Pro app as a family for years. It has worked well. However, without any warning or explanation from the developers the yearly subscription has gone up 250% ($11.99 to 29.99). That is unacceptable. There are plenty of good expense tracking and budget planning apps. We will be transitioning to one of them before the subscription renewal.

I was dependent on this app, however, have updated a spreadsheet to keep records also.

Tried and tried to get it to work with my bank Trash
I paid for Gold service to get the banking downloads It did it only two times then stopped working. It downloaded the data but gives errors and errors I like. The old money it worked great. WILL NOT RENEW ANYMORE FIX THIS APP!

If it connects at all. It disconnects after 1 transaction. Waste of money.
iCloud sync doesn’t work
I use iCloud to sync this app with the Mac app. This stopped working about a month ago, which for me makes the app useless. I reached out support and their response was “we can’t do anything, just wait until it fixes itself”.

Downhill
I’ve had checkbook HD then regular Money Pro dating back to 2015. I got this new phone the other day an iPhone 14. And I was unable to load my old money pro profile. I assumed it was just the change in phone so I figured I would just upgrade to the Money Pro $50 version and have it sync up to my account. Everything worked fine until September 1. This is when the last sync to my bank acct was and I have not been able to sync it since. I’ve tried disabling back up. I’ve tried restarting. I’ve tried pretty much everything and I still cannot get it to load through my with my new balance. $50 down the drain and, eight years worth of data gone. I am not happy.

Too hard and complicated
After using this app for over 3 years I decided to get the yearly plan with 3 day trial. Syncing is almost impossible. Using iCloud from phone to iPad is impossible. Keep getting message to allow iCloud Drive on iPad. It is. Go back to hone and have to log in again. Now it claims I have no account. Gave up and canceled the free trial. Better not automatically renew or I will be really ticked! I’ll just continue to use without the ability to sync. That way I would recommend this app with a 5
Need updates
I need assistance, I am having issues where my transactions keep repeating by itself multiple times from different accounts I’ve been using this app for years and recently upgraded which is very expensive compare to the free version which never gave me any issues but it has been giving me a lot of issues ever since I connected my bank and started the paid plan. Also since my bank accounts are connected I can’t remove these transactions and is affecting my budgeting

Quick input Widget gone
Since iOS 18 quick input widget has gone. I used it all the time. Please bring it back. It’s just a crucial thing for such kind of app. I’ve bought both iOS and Mac versions mostly because of this feature. Thanks

I used this app for a long time without syncing to my bank and it was really good. I decided I no longer wanted to manually enter every transaction. The account balance it shows has never been correct since I synced with my bank. Paycheck deposits show up as $0, I’ve seen double transactions that aren’t on my bank statement. I’ve sadly started searching for another budget app.
Last new feature introduced 4 years ago
I really liked this app in the past, but I’m looking for alternatives. It’s been a lot since new features were introduced. Reports are specially unappealing.
Simple things like repeating transactions doesn’t work well. I cannot add shortcuts either to autofill some daily expenses.
Almost every other app let you compare the current year against the past one (or the current month vs the past) and see how are you expending your money, example “this month you expend 10% more on food”.

Wow, what a horrible checkbook ledger
After Checkbook HD was desupported by iBear, and after numerous prompting to move to Money Pro, I finally took the plunge. If you want to replace the essential functionality of Checkbook HD with it’s elegantly simple interface this isn’t the app for you. Money PRO is so annoying complex in its execution that simple activities are just frustrating. I’m still trying to figure out how to reconcile my checking account 🙄

Not what I thought
I guess I should have paid better attention to the other reviews. I’m coming from desktop Quicken and was looking for something similar that I can use on my iPad (the Quicken app is not great). Based on the description, this sounded like just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, after I downloaded it, I realized I would need to upgrade to Gold so I could synch my accounts. I did that and paid for the subscription. Only after that did I realize that it doesn’t work how I thought it did. You can only reconcile in an account that is manually entered, so not in one that is synched with the bank. You also can’t add entries to an account that’s synched. I was hoping for a “hybrid” app that would allow me to enter transactions and they would be matched with ones being synched from my account, and I could reconcile each month. This app was not the one!
