Full of bugs . I played it up to a high level then it just dropped me back to level one for no reason. You buy all extra and for nothing.
Single Player Bot TOO East!
Even on “hard,” the game feels ridiculously easy! There’s little challenge and it quickly becomes a waste of time. Gameplay feels repetitive and boring.
Ai OBVIOUSLY CHEATS
I played a game filled solely with ai players other than myself, and the ai did many things that are just clear cheats to help itself. It unmortgaged 6 properties on its turn using only 300 dollars, the price of which should have been upwards of 450 if I remember correctly. Then when I get the controls on my turn and roll, suddenly the ai places a hotel on a mortgaged property, unmortgages it, meanwhile it’s still my turn and there is still a property in this color set mortgaged. It is just the clearest example of blatant cheating, it goes against many of monopolies rules all at once. I have had experiences somewhat similar playing with ai or even playing with ai replacements for real players and honestly it has made me very much dislike this game; I would like to request my money back.

It’s actually my first time writing a review and I feel compelled to do so. There are obvious patterns with the dice which controls the game to suit the developer’s agenda. In the multiplayer mode, I’ve noticed there’s always a none human player(bot). I know this because each player has a level and you’d clearly see this bot character has none with an obvious none human name.
The dice is rigged to favor this bot the most with only 1 cycle around GO and it already has 6-7 properties meanwhile real players are with either one or two. I took my time to play the game so many times and this same pattern is constant. This game is a beautiful game that should be enjoyed with the randomness of a dice but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
On several occasions I’d have some properties with hotels on them and 2 different cycles around GO will have nobody landing on them but around them. Yet the dice takes me to that one property I’m hoping not to land on. It seems the game was developed to keep older people and kids in the app trying so hard to win a game. I’ve noticed they’re other people complaining about the same thing in the reviews with no responses from the developers.

Absolute Greed
$245 dollars for all of the stuff in this app is not simply an insult, it is a joke. No, sales do not make this better, you can still spend that much regardless! They are charging this much for sculpts that can be popped out in a day and graphics that are rinse and repeats. Not to mention that the dice RNG is atrocious to the point the game feels scripted. Please do not spend almost $250 bucks for $10 worth of content!
Throwing a match from trade offers
There needs to be a way to stop people from offering trades over and over and in effect suspending the gameplay. This is a terrible glitch. Please fix it.

I’m 99.999% certain this game’s dice role is rigged. The number of games that play out the exact same and is insane.

Make the dice random and then get 5 stars. multiple games i owned an entire side of the board and 4 laps round no one will land on ur property until it gets mortgage while ur landing on there’s every lap. haven’t won a single game since I got this bs! no such thing as randomness when u land on everyone else’s property but they can skip an entire side of a board 4 laps in two separate games. I’ve tried so many strats the dice favors ai or inactive players., nothing like real life monopoly. what’s the point in even putting engineered dice? it’s absolutely not balanced. Play this and I’ll start to see a pattern.

Why must every app feel the need to cram every inch of screen space with pop-ups, ads, ways to spend money etc. We purchased this hoping it would be a simpler interface that pays genuine homage to the board game. I wish I could get my money back. Waste of time.

I believe someone else had the same exact complaint but it’s hard to believe the outcomes are random. Winners seem predetermined and there are plenty of ways different players can rig the game or plan outcomes together.
For example, if someone is losing, they can easily transfer all their properties and money to another random player (I assume to not get penalized for exiting the game midway). This impacts the quality of the game severely.
Then I noticed that on the railway stations, often times the $$$ earned aren’t accurate at all (esp. B.O.).
And finally, in spite of having enough funds, I haven’t been able to build houses, which I suspect is because the end winner is predetermined so the app glitches.
Please pay attention and do better.

this game is so rigged and purposely favors certain players. the fact that you can own multiple properties and the game helps others by skipping over and giving them more money MULTIPLE TIMES IN A ROW makes this game unplayable. theres no equal chance or fair gameplay. just play the board game irl
Terrible Game Design
Do NOT play this game with AI. The developers rigged the game in favor of the AI. The AI will do the cheapest trades with each other for almost nothing but then offer ridiculous trades to actual players. Going to Jail 7 straight times is absurd! Wasted $5 for this junk. Oh and dont forget you have to pay for boards, pieces & dice. Terribly build game thats also greedy.

I like the game but i expected more for $4.99. You have to pay more money to use features in the app. To play the fast version of monopoly, you have to say $45.99. That is ridiculous. I’d understand if it was $4 or $5 but $45 is ridiculous for an app.
The coding of the app is also messed up. I’ve found that in at least half of the games I’m not able to finish the game because the game randomly freezes up and the players aren’t able to do anything. This can be frustrating. I’d recommend that the app figures out these issues before asking its consumers first more money.

Rage quitters make it unplayable
Game is what you would think. Game is fun when other players are actually playing. Once someone rage quits, you and the other players are stuck paralyzed in limbo as the game literally does nothing afterwards. Staring at your screen for what seems like hours…nothing happening. All it takes is one person to quit and the game is meaningless. Would be nice if an AI took over the player that quit out of frustration.
Algorithms
Don’t recommend. I’ve won only based on algorithm. Not skill of strategy which isn’t fun as a monopoly player. For context, there’s an algorithm that will favor one player after a 30 minutes of play. It’s just luck tbh and makes the game very boring. I’ve won rounds this way. I’ve lost rounds this way. Not worth the spend if you’re a monopoly player.

Buggy and Slow, Open to Cheating
While the original board game get 5 stars, this app gets 1. Any player can cause the game to crash for everyone by running down the clock for each phase of their turn, switching actions, and repeating this until the server times out, ending the game for everyone. This issue has persisted for years. Instead of fixing this and other issues, the developers put all of their efforts into churning out premium skins, dice, etc. The app also remains full of flaws and lacks certain quality-of-life settings that would earn it at least another star. The animations are extremely repetitive and tedious, and there’s no way to turn them off. Design-wise, there’s a ton of wasted screen space that could easily be used to display helpful information, but there is no way to view the board details during opponents’ turns. Also, anyone can quit during a match and be replaced by a bot; which would be fine if players didn’t take their last turn to make insane deals, like selling all of their property to your competition for $1 and then buying their cheapest property or item for all of their remaining money. Players controlled by bots should be marked as bots. There should be an option to report other players for abusive behavior and offensive names too, but there isn’t. Do better, Hasbro!

The worst algorithm ever you cannot play is one person 90% chances the other 10% you cannot play is impossible.
Glitchy and engineered
Game has a lot of glitches. Seems like I get one every game. The dice are not random and properties could go the whole game without being landed on. Feels almost engineered to play fair instead of random just to keep people feeling like they can play for longer. Disappointing and want my money back or fix the glitches at least

Just like the other reviews have stated, this game is rigged. It takes all of the fun out of the game when you can’t get decent rolls and the game favors one player no matter how much the other players are ahead of them.
It’s also annoying how much more money the app is asking for for extra features after paying the initial $5. The extra features are also not worth what they are asking you to pay.
I truly love the game of monopoly but this is just a let down compared to the original version.

Waste of money
I bought this game from approximately 3 weeks ago and I feel so upset. I’m the game all of the characters are expensive and at least, if those were good it would be ok, but it’s not worth it. This app freezers sometimes in the best moment while you are playing. I was winning a game when none of the button worked. It made me feel frustrated. Definitely, I’m so upset due to this. And it’s a shame because I really love to play Monopoly

Fun game and addictive but it freeze and lags so much. It’s the worst when you are in the middle of a good game and the whole game crashes for everyone.
Dice not random
Love this game, but the dice are not random at all. The probability of a player avoiding large properties and landing in the gaps between them over and over again, game after game, are ridiculous. So like many people I’m very with monopoly on multiple platforms. This game is fairly well designed, although it really pushes you to spend money. I don’t waste money on a mobile game outside the $5 to buy this game.

One review in particular said that it seemed like the game was engineering the outcome, and the dice was not truly random. When it comes to any app or software of any kind, it is impossible to make it truly random. If you delve into the programming it’s all math and calculation. So don’t ask the developers to create truly random dice rolls.

I could only roll, nothing else. I exited the game and reconnected, and the game just froze. The lag was very frustrating because the game would have very late responses, which makes managing properly and especially trading very difficult. Keep in mind that I have very stable, high speed internet.
Other issue is the time out timers for trading and counter offers are way too short. The developers need to extend them a bit. I know the game needs to keep moving, but it takes a human more time to consider and strategize than a computer would. Unfortunately the developers seem more interested in pushing paid content than actually improving the games performance.
I will play this game, but I am disappointed.
On an unrelated note, please people don’t be idiots unless you are one. If you are an idiot, I can’t help you, and I don’t care. If you aren’t, don’t repeatedly offer a ridiculously one sided deal. It’s unbelievable how stupid people can be. I might actually let get a property set if you were willing to not ask for all my propertyand money. I won’t give you a set for a couple random mortgaged properties either.
Don’t be offended if you just realized you are an idiot with a bad attitude because no one cares, and you can’t be fixed. But remember your life is never worthless; your existence matters. Problems will come and depression, but things will get better.

If I bought the game for five dollars, why do I have to pay for every single artistic perk? 200+ dollars for the whole game pack for art…
Too slow
The game moves way too slooooow! It needs an option for faster movement when playing with other players.
Too visually busy
There is way too much distracting and unnecessary visual noise. Please, make the option to play the game with only the gameboard and not all of that other pseudo simcity garbage moving all over the place - it's visually ugly, noisy, and distracting and takes away from the focus on the game.
Definitely cheats
This game, although Marmalade refutes it, cheats so bad it’s almost laughable. I hit property tax 3 trips around the board and on the fourth trip was sent to jail. Also invariably the computer players get doubles after doubles after doubles, all the while accumulating more properties. The first go around my recent game, the medium player owned six properties to my 2. Enjoyable, but MAN does it cheat.
