Watch feature super buggy, AI feature is fine
I had high hopes for this app but the watch feature is super buggy: doesn’t automatically record reps, manual reps log on phone doesn’t save, workout doesn’t save end, wasted a bunch of my time at the gym trying to figure the app out. AI feature is nothing but increasing the load slightly which you can also do on your own
So buggy!
Workout crashed and disappeared mid workout. Going back to fitbod
Missing a ton of basic features like plate calculation and number keep jumping and changing after i set them even when that setting is off. Was hopeful about this ap but super unreliable

Worked great the first time only…
Unfortunately I had a lot of trouble while doing leg day. It would even register my leg work outs and it was struggling to track my others as well. So I will Try it once more. But I really like it the first day but the others it was more of a pain having to enter all my workouts manually.
Beware
I was going to do the 3-day FREE trial before I make a decision BUT I didn’t get a free trial. They charged me right away!!!
Not for me
I downloaded the app to help me organize my workout and etc, appeared to be simple but it is not Dummy proof and after spending a lot of time trying to build a gym and program works outs I could not figure out how to change the details or the repetitions or event the order I want the workout to go - I’m a new gym person and to be honest I do t like it at all and the difficulty in trying to figure out this app just frustrated me. My wife likes it but I have decided to not use any apps at all for this purpose because it is distracting me instead of helping me.
May be great for most people but for me it sucked - even my wife who ike’s the app could not help me figure it out.
Good luck and Gym people - don’t take it from me coz I’m not at the same level you guys may be, I’m a total beginner who doesn’t like working out and apps like these is making me hate it even more.

Latest update killed the app
Used to be so good, but recent the app lacks tons of workouts. About two month ago this was everything. Not sure what happened.
Great idea, terrible functionality
Improve the accuracy of the weights lifted and rep count; app seems to default to weights and reps listed in template as opposed to increased weight lifted and/or increased reps.
Update a template with PRs achieved at the end of workout.

App not working
Since the app has changed it’s no longer working on my watch but my watch and phone is new and up to date on software!
Scam
Me and my twin name and information almost same but it flags as Same person, waste of time
Nice app
Apple watch still have some inconsistencies but i
am impressed overall

Quantity over quality
You guys did it again. Finally, the previous version was working well and the latest release screwed it up again. Exercise detection and Rep count are both messed up in this latest version. Please go back to the previous version, get bested quality control. It’s tough to stay subscribed with so many repeated issues
App is garbage
This app is a hunk of garbage. It constantly records your sets and reps wrong. It swaps your main exercise to warm ups when it wants. Save yourself time and money, and skip this junk
Horrible if your bodybuilding
Nice layout, but resets everything during each workout. And impossible to move apps. 0/10 dont use
Don’t believe the hype
This app freezes occasionally , does not save your workout try as you might, distorts data that it imports from other apps, is filled with unnecessary sub menus that make it un-user friendly (why would you need to go to a submenu to finish the workout when everything else is scroll down?) the screen is unnecessarily busy and font is compressed making checking anything difficult, the weight are random (45 lbs on leg press, you can’t make that up). Or, weights are so heavy that it causes cramps. Worst of all, the developper wants you to give feedback and when you give it to him he becomes unpleasant and suggests you go to other exercises apps ( well done, sir: way to acquire clients, I worry for your investors). Good idea, extremely bad execution.
Does not work
I tried my hardest over two days to get this app to sync to my watch. While the app is downloaded on both devices, the app keeps saying I need to download the app. I was told by the developer that they cannot help with downloads and that I needed to contact apple support. Then apple support said that I should contact the developer. Technology is wonderful until it isn’t. I want my money back.
Not worth $120
At $60 a year I was fine with but $120 for A.I. to do the work is robbery. Greed.
Generate workout does not complete
I paid for Train Pro, and generating a workout just hangs after “selecting exercises” set.
Twenty minutes later and I’m just going to do my own thing. I wasn’t looking for anything wild - ten minutes, forearms.

Couldn’t even sign up.
Errored out when trying to sign up. No bueno.
Inconsistent Watch operation with buggy uldates
I have been using for over a year and when it works it works well, but when it does not it becomes a frustrating waste of time trying to keep watch and app in sync. Please stop updating and breaking things!
Cool concept, didn’t work
Spent first half of workout trying to get the app to track my reps. Watch appears to operate independently of app. App would say it couldn’t connect to watch while Apple Watch visibly showed the Motra app. Clunky, too many manual interactions. Doesn’t deliver on what I what I was hoping for.
I’ll check it out again in the future.

No longer AI weight detection?
So I’ve been using this app since its first come out. Back then when it was train it had AI weight and exercise detection. So it actually detected the weight you were moving and the exercise. It wasn’t perfect but it was really accurate most of the time. But with this rebrand I’ve noticed that now it only inputs the weight you’ve already done. No longer auto detection. Which was the whole point. Now I’m starting to rethink using this app since I still have to put in the weight if I do progressive overload/unload. And I’ve noticed it’s not so accurate in detecting the movement I do either. The developers are better off going back to the old way. It would probably get more people to want to fork out the weekly/month expense for the premium. Less work people have to do the more people are inclined to pay, just saying
Ok but has issues
A good guide to exercising but phone watch discovery is lacking hard to stay focused with having to reconnect after or during sets.
Watch connectivity
Watch connection is very inconsistent
Not really good
Overall in just one session it detected only 50% of the exercises I was doing. I was quite impressed at the beginning that it knew that I was doing forearm curls and the exact weight. From there just 1/2were accurately detected. I will try to use for other things.
Workout not saved
My workout from Wednesday didn't save, even though it shows in my Apple Fitness app.
Decent app, criminal pricing.
The app is solid, similar tier as most other well known fitness tracking apps. The “AI” was a bit oversold and the Apple Watch tracking of reps, sets isn’t accurate enough to rely on it. You still have to manually input a lot. If this app was at the $40-60 a year price point I’d go 4.5 stars and renew my subscription. $99 a year a criminal theft, not worth that at all.
Using for a couple of couple of years
I’ve used this apps for a couple of years. Loved it. But months ago there was an update and then it would freeze on my watch in the middle of the session. I would save the progress on my phone before I turned off and on my watch. I did bring it up to the developer but no change. I ended my subscription.
Indulge before downloading.
This is my complete and honest review of the app known as Train. The app has an undeniably interesting and astonishing capability to accurately recognize both exercise variety and repetition number. Across exceptionally diverse exercises the app proved its unique features, consistently producing an accurate representation of my workout. Although once the novelty of the applications capabilities faded its flaws began to shine through. First, the recognition regarding the exercises weight usage was abysmal. Second the application had a complete inability to detect machine based, isolation leg exercises. The constant need for adjustment makes the application’s practicality relatively low, therefore I cannot in all good conscience recommend this app for everyday usage. Although I would definitely encourage users to try this app for themselves as it does provide some interesting information. Primarily my edition of the Apple Watch is far from new, possibly affecting the applications veracity. Additionally, the application does inform users that the increased frequency of app usage does indeed increase the application’s accuracy, thus due to my limited trial’s and my outdated equipment my assessment may be incomplete. Though I am unaware of the extent that modern equipment and additional information can improve the application’s features, I am doubtful that it would ensure improvements necessary for me to make said investments of my time and updating my hardware. I would much prefer my own programming and tracking, thus not requiring external input regarding what exercise, repetition, and weight I am using, as for my uses they are predetermined.
