It won’t play videos or let me download videos on Wi-Fi. And when I do download it immediately says the video is expired

Worst streaming platform for casting
Mubi's films do not cast well on phone to TV. Compared to other platforms it is the worst. Truly frustrating. I will cancel my subscription.

As much as I want to enjoy this app it started off on a wrong foot and will not do anything but throw me error codes. I just wanna watch the film 😩

Entré porque supuestamente estaba el documental Sarajevo safari y al final no había nada. Y las opciones que hay es de cine independiente muy pobre.

The only movies I try to watch are literally always unavailable. Why list them if I can’t watch them? Makes no sense, if zero stars was an option that’s what it would get!!

A Rip Off
I ordered Mubi, thinking I can easily download on my TV. After reading volumes of lists of what to do if the first three options failed, I contacted them. The trial was seven days, yet thru failed to get back to me until day 5. Essentially, they said it wasn't possible to easily download it. I told them to csncrl. Instead, I was billed for the monthly fee. Skip it and watch Britbox.
Does not work
Purchased a subscription to watch a specific series which doesn’t seem to be available on this app. (it is available on other platforms). The search function completely fails.
Can’t sign up.
You’re using Eddie Huang’s film to boost sign ups. Smart move. But you should have QA’d your apps a bit more. Get “an unexpected error occurred #97”. Ouchie

Arthouse mass murder
Sadly, Mubi hasn’t increased its offerings of horror films, instead it has decided to fund horrors in real life with our subscriptions. After a recent acquisition, Mubi is now owned by Sequoia Capital, a large company that sells advanced weapons and technology to the Israeli military for use in its genocide campaign in Gaza and its global wars.
Sellouts
They’re re funded by Sequoia capital which profits off the displacement of the Palestinian people. Subscription cancelled.

Stuck region on new update
Recent update on the app is buggy. Keeps getting stuck on a region I was previously in and have to delete the app to get it unstuck and show the current region I’m in.
Terrible experience
I had an issue because they charged me double for 3 months. I reached out to support. They admitted they had an issue on their side. They said they’d give me a solution but the solution never came. Terrible service! Don’t trust them. Go to trustpilot.com and you’ll see what I mean.
Terrible performance
Let’s see…random badge notification that won’t go away, but also won’t tell me what the notification is. Removing a movie from the watchlist requires getting a notary public. And no way to remove from continue watching. I regret this app.

Is horrible. They will take entire weeks just to answer a simple question about deactivating your account, and why you were charged sooner than what you signed up for. They clearly do not care about maintaining clients.

For instance, if I want to isolate only films in a specific language, no option for that. There should be thoughtful, detailed categories, such as: By black & white, by decade, by first time directors, etc etc.
And even in the basic provided categories like say Documentaries, you have to read the whole catalogue-you can’t see those only about artists or philosophers or whatever.
We already signed up for a whole year. It’s gonna be a long year.

Very difficult to know what movies are on the service
To find many of the movies that are on the device you have to go to the browse section of the service on a web browser. Ridiculous strategy to hide hundreds of movies from customers.
Not for cinema lovers
There aren’t any great artists represented here. Not a place to explore cinema. Here’s a handful of names I expect will yield results: Agnes Varda, Eric Rohmer, John Cassavetes, Stanley Kubrick. 0.0 films And the list goes on. There are some things to explore, nothing mind blowing. This is where films go to say, “everybody come and see how indie I look.”
Read the fine print
It might let you watch a program and not have you sign up, but it will automatically start charging, even if you do not subscribe.

I cancelled Mubi today after learning of the millions of dollars received from a company that helps power genocide. Be aware that there are no partial refunds.
Tablet woes
While the film library is superb, the app is troublesome. Most recently, it has stopped opening on my tablet. Oddly, if I start a film on my mobile phone, the app will open on my tablet. It’s bizarre.
Yes, I am a picky jackass
I would honestly just really like to be able to sort the films that you do have by country or director or year - not just the other ones we can’t watch bc they’re not available but we can add to our watchlist, but the ones that actually ARE on there that I could see right now - I just want to sort it by the way you introduce the films at the bottom of your thumbnails, really. I know you have all these curated or very specific algorithmic sections and that’s nice, but I think that just a general better, more informative system of sorting/searching (by DP, by producer, by gaffer even) would give me a bit of a gateway into what you have on deck, though - right now I just don’t see a way in without feeling exhausted
Where is my watchlist??
Why does your app completely disregard the films I have chosen to put on my watchlist and instead serve me only curated theme lists?? I have never seen a streaming app that removes the watchlist. Why is this not accessible?
