Downhill & Inaccurate
App used to be great until last year (2025) started seeing VERY misleading rain tracker. For example two days ago (4) other platforms confirmed a huge storm we had at 2.37” of rain. This app says 0.1” and yes the location is confirmed. It was a fun run but has been downhill since starting 2025. I’ll be deleting this app.

App ruined
Used to be this app was helpful. As it is now, won’t even let me sign in or start new account without typing in my AppleID password. No thank you. Signing in via Apple password is supposed to be seamless, in the background and encrypted, not ‘type it in for the masses’.

What happened?!
I’ve used this app for many years and has been very helpful. Now with this update it is broken! Crabgrass preventer product? Not listed! Could go on but you get the point. They broke what used to be a very useful app by adding a lot of other features while breaking what I used the app for in the first place!
Not all Scott’s Products Listed
I would give the app at least 4 stars but customer support tells me the app only lists their most popular products. I’ve been using their 4 step product and am baffled why it isn’t part of the available lawn products. In my mind, if it has Scott’s name on it, it should be listed.
No Longer Working
Looks like this app is no longer providing recommendations. 2026 is blank. I should have my first fertilizer recommendation in March. Nothing!!!!

Not sure what happened but the calendar for what to apply when is no longer working. It’s literally just a rain tracker at this point.

It’s not giving me any product recommendations this year. Such a bummer - I’ve used this app every spring for more than 10 years and two different houses! Please fix it!!!
What happened?
Worked great last year but I could not log in this year. I finally was forced to put in a new password. When I did get in the lawn plan setup was confusing and I gave up.
Still not satisfied with app
I was trying to add a product to my calendar and when that product wasn’t available I entered into a chat with a live agent. At first he couldn’t understand what I wanted to do so I sent him a screen shot. The said “Thank you! Just one moment please.” So I waited for about 5 minutes and then I received a message “Chat Ended”. So I wasted 45 minutes of my time to have this happen.
Could not get past login screen
I was not able to even pass the login screen to use this app. Whenever I would go Create a Plan or Find My Grass Type, the page would continue loading and fail each time. I tried with different variables (different locations, knowing grass type vs not) but no success.
Can’t select grass type
There is no place to select my grass type, no drop down. It asks if I know it, when I click yes, it says creating a plan but then errors out and says try again. Not a good first impression!
Information in App Disappears!!
This is my third time having to recreate my lawn info and entered my data in the app. All of my inputted data and information has disappeared, including the notes that I have carefully maintained. They never bother to fix whatever issue they have with this app.
No calendar notifications
I have added tasks for feedings and they appear on my calendar. However, the app fails to notify you a day before or the day of when you have a task scheduled. What good is the calendar and ability to add tasks for a certain date if the app fails to notify you?!?! Not like I open the app every day! Does anyone open the app every day?!?!
Lost everything

The app won’t let me log in on my tablet. When you do password reset the link never comes through. On my IPhone all my previous activities are gone from all the previous years.
Latest update locks up

I just updated after the app came back from maintenance for 24 hours. I guess the new update isn’t working, since it won’t let me sign in at all.
App tried to kill my lawn
Sum ting Wong. I was about to fertilize my yard with Scott’s I just bought. Saw the “my lawn” app on the bag (got excited for some help). Downloaded. Entered everything including my yard is BERMUDA. App gives me my “list of activities”. First on the list is, in the next 30 days fertilize with Scott’s Bonus S Southern weed and feed. I click “view details”. In bold letters first thing I see is NOT FOR BERMUDA. SAN AUGUSTINE ONLY!!! Obviously deleting the app. Smh
Will not let you edit any data j(date, time, amount) added
Will no longer let you edit any data added. Get a “sorry error occurred”. For example I ran my sprinklers last night for 1 inch of water, today I entered it, but will not save the edited data i.e. the date, amount or the time.
Useless
I live in Florida. The guide asks me to get products that will not ship to FL. I contacted them directly. They asked me a few questions and then never got back to me. Products should be tailored to your area and most importantly highly obtainable.

Downloaded for the calendar to keep track of my fertilizer schedule. Calendar in the app does not load. Repeated error message. Deleted app
Updated App and now it’s broken
Like others have stated, I updated the app to this most recent version and now the loading circle just spins and spins.
Not reliable
I started using this app about 2 weeks ago, I like the idea of these app but it is always crashing and never provides the information it says it is going to.
Can’t get back in
I can’t get back into the app. I do a force quit and it gets a little further. But, it looks like it forgot my grass type and when I try to add it again, I get “something went wrong”. If this is how the app is going to be, it’s useless.

Doesn’t work for me
I have 4 sections of lawn on our property to work on. Drawing on the map didn’t work. The compilation stopped after first section was mapped and I couldn’t add to or replace the 1500sq. ft. with the real number of 8000 sq ft.
In app calendar is useless
I am using 4-step for my lawn (which itself doesn’t seem to do anything) but I use this app to keep track. The first step is based upon temperature and after the second cut and then the other steps are time based after that. I used the in app calendar to set up notifications when each needed to be applied. While the app has served up its advertising notifications reliably, it has NOT given me any notification for any of the products I bought or that I specifically requested.
If you want to know what Scott’s wants to sell you, get this app. If you want to timely take care of your lawn, use a reminders app and delete this one.

No longer functional
For the past several months, the app will not display the application schedule for the current year. Contacted support and went back and forth but gave up after answering the same questions multiple times.
Prior to the app breaking, the spammy notifications forced me to disable them completely.

Spammy Notifications Ruin a Potentially Useful App
Scott’s offers to build you a customized lawn plan and to remind you when to apply their products. A (potentially) very useful feature. However, there is no way in the app to customize the notifications, so if you want to get those 4-5 times a year notifications to remind you to apply products, you have to put up with near daily notifications trying to sell you other products. Thanks but no thanks.

I can’t change my subscription, see what’s been sent to me, see what’s been applied…it’s not useful at all. I’d like to see what’s been shipped or what’s scheduled to be shipped. I’ll have to cancel if not fixed.
Don’t waste your time
All it does is constantly push a subscription service. Even if you have one you cannot alter your subscription through the app, you have to call in. App doesn’t track the information you put in accurately huge missed opportunity for Scott’s. I ended up canceling my subscription and started using a competitor app and their product
Do not depend on this app for accurate application dates
I have been using this app for 7 years. Even though you put your address in it does not monitor soil temperature for your area for when crab grass germinates and adjust your plan. This year we had earlier warmer temperatures and the app had application 3 weeks too late. I have also found it to be more difficult to use as it does not allow me to add other Scott’s products to my plan. I used Triple Action instead of Turf Builder with Halts and it did not give me the option to add. I am going to try the Yard Mastery app as it looks to be more comprehensive.

I once installed this app, and now I can't delete my account. Don't get in touch with them; they are scammers.

Great idea but…
This app is a great idea and I’ve used it for over six months. But I have been regularly frustrated by features that doesn’t work. The app periodically has errors and tells me that I no longer have an account! I want it to work as it would be a great help. And help there’s another thing that’s missing. I inquired of the company about the errors I’m getting. I don’t hear back from anyone. I’m on day three now from my last inquiry. I just want my paid account to work!
Non-functional
Cannot get to work on Apple 13. Constant error codes and useless.
My region is unsupported.
I went to Home Depot to buy grass seed. Scotts doesn’t put coverage rates on their bag anymore and tells you to download the app. The app tells me my zip code is invalid. App uninstalled and buying my grass seed from a manufacturer who lists the coverage on the bag.
Garbage app, from garbage people
For months now this app has not worked as advertised. It won’t notify you when it’s time to do something to your lawn, and then it won’t keep your last option as “applied.” Not only that, but now it continually sends me notifications that I need to update my app and create an account, which I’ve already done months ago. Oh, and awesome special deals. They always manage to notify me of special deals. I’ve gone back-and-forth with support over this for the past couple of months and they’re basically ignoring me. When they do pay attention, they point fingers at me. I continue to send them pictures of exactly how up-to-date my app is, and that I have an account, but they don’t care. They don’t listen. They don’t read the emails and they don’t respond accordingly. It’s lazy and it’s cowardly.
