I already paid a supposed one time payment to store unlimited movies, but with upgrades they now want you to pay again. I have almost 1000 titles I had stored on this app. I feel if you have had their service since “my movies 1” they should honor payment arrangements made then!
Scanning great support not so
I love how quick it scans bar codes and finds movies-cannot ask for better.
But when you find issues and tell them, they claim to fix it but your data will never see the update. Also YOU cannot edit movie titles or sorts. They do alphabetical sort ONLY. All movie titles sort with A or The in the titles. No fixing that!

SCAM
I purchased this app and even bought the updates. Now they switched to a monthly subscription and they removed my movies and now want me to pay a subscription! I want all my money back! You could have locked my movies instead you deleted them and want more money! Don’t waste your time with this app! I only used this app so I wouldn’t purchase a movie twice. I’ll just use the notes app and make my own list! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Less than 1 star
There’s no way I’m going to pay for this app because it’s a subscription service. I bought My Movies Pro 4 and I’m keeping it because it is NOT a subscription service. If I’m getting an app, it is not going to be a subscription based service
Used to work great
This app was great at keeping my movie collection in one convenient location. However, since I renewed my subscription on December 2025 , it now no longer works AT ALL. Whenever I open the app it says “There are no titles located on this device. “ I have tried everything I could think of to restore the titles but nothing works. I even tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. There is no way to contact the company to get help with this. I will be canceling my subscription. I have used this app for several years with no problems until now.

Updated: Exactly! Exactly everyone’s point! Out of your own mouth! THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE! So why change the wording? The model? The plan? Why not just keep the same model you have?! It’s obviously worked for 15 years? It’s obviously confused enough long time customers! YOU changed the model and the wording, and then are yelling at people “there is no difference”. Then if there’s no difference, why change it? Your own logic falls in on itself and it sounds foolish, Svend.
. I’ve paid for My Movies Pro upgrades for every version through 5. I’ve never expected free updates forever, and I don’t mind paying for quality software to be clear:
• No one is asking for “eternal service.”
• No one is saying “we want everything free forever.”
What long-time users are saying is simple:
We were happy paying a clear, one-time Pro upgrade price per version. With My Movies 6, that was replaced by a time-limited license, even when labeled a “one-time purchase,” and then repeatedly defended as if it’s the same thing.
After the 24-month period ends, the app becomes read-only unless you pay again. You can still view your collection locally, but online features stop - including database lookups, syncing, updates, and other server-based functionality. Functionally, that’s a subscription, whether it auto-renews or not.
As for the responses in reviews: if the dismissive tone is due to Danish-to-English translation or cultural directness, that might explain it - but it doesn’t excuse it. Telling frustrated, long-time paying users that they’re asking for “eternal service” isn’t clarification; it’s deflection.
The app itself is good.
The licensing model is confusing.
The communication is unnecessarily rude.
Do better, Svend… And fire your marketing strategist. They have failed you.

Crashed after I selected different sort criteria - won’t work now
I signed up for 2 years and after the app updated all my movies, I tried to select a different sort criteria. The app instantly crashed and won’t stay open. I open it to a black plane with a movie slate icon and then it crashes. Please update with fix.
