Worst app on the planet
This is by far the worst app i’ve ever seen. No English option, zero support, every month my plan disappears and i have no idea how i should check the remaining. Full of bugs. Often after recharging your account it says unsuccessful, even if it’s successful, takes forever to appear on the page. And many many more problems
Same bad app and same bad service.
The developers have no clue how to develop a useful app. This UI is about as bad as you can get. Noting has changed for the better. Screenshots seem to capture more about recharging your cellphone plan than anything else. If you have an Italian landline or home internet, you are not able to use the website. It forces you to down this bad app if you want to do anything. You can’t even make a payment or pay your bill for your home internet/phone, especially if you set it on autopay. They still have not charged me for my December 2025 bill which was due on January 10th. Impossible to contact anyone so I don’t know if my service will be cut off. The merger with Fastweb has yet to make the service or this app better. I doubt it will, but they will certainly increase their prices. That is for sure.

I hate this app more than anything! I’m constantly getting locked out of my account. Vodafone your employees are terrible because every time I go in person to ask for help the employees are useless. All I want is to pay my phone and internet bill! And on occasion activate travel data. And I can never successfully do these things because your app doesn’t work and neither do your employees apparently!!! I’m about to switch services cause I’ve used Vodafone for two years now and I’ve never hated a service more. Absolute trash.

Trash.
Vodafone is absolute trash. The app barely works. It refuses to let me log in and nobody in customer support is helpful. Tried calling and going in person to the physical locations. Nobody that works for Vodafone is competent let alone helpful so I have to switch companies now. Don’t waste your time and get a different phone/internet provider.

You’d think as a company that offers national cellular service and is one of Italy’s main providers, they would at least have the option to change the language on your app. Unfortunately it is only in Italian, and from what I can tell is quite complicated to work with if you simply want to top up your data or change your plan. You’re better off talking to someone in person. This is probably one of the most necessary yetleast useful app I have on my phone.
Worthless service
I pay €30 a month for a service that only works near my house. I travel overseas and not matter what plan a pay, to be able to be connected, I have to rely in another company eSim service to be able to read emails and messages. And customer service on the phone or in oerson in the store are laughable.

The app doesn’t work 95% of the time and the service does not cut on when you prepay for it. Would not recommend to anyone
No translation, barely any support
The app fails in several crucial areas: translation (app stuck in Italian only), usability (always has bugs/shows fully-white views when there’s an error on-load). It seems almost every country besides Italy has a Vodafone app with better support and features.

Lack controls to change language
It is really surprising in a “top” touristic destination like Italy and top teleco company like Vodafone that the Vodafone Italia application doesn’t offer multiple language UI.

Updated UX still misunderstands its user base
Where to start? TLDR; The only real new function is an antiquated implementation of MFA, otherwise, this is just a new skin on the same limited and “takes too many taps” app. *The 2FA is sub-par. You either use your own mobile number or another mobile in the same country to receive codes. No choice for a mobile with a different country code or, better, an authentication app. This setup is behind the cybersecurity times by at least 5 years. *If you’re abroad and want to check your account, you are forced to use the antiquated 2FA method and incur a charge for a roaming SMS!? *The link to get to account settings on the app’s front page is dead. Sometimes it will revive if you relaunch the app, but only sometimes. *Lucky I speak and read Italian, because there’s no option to change the language. *Not necessarily the app’s fault, but only accepting a local credit card slows down the payment process. I’d much rather set up auto-pay with my card than PayPal in case of incorrect charges. *Links to detailed information are actually mini-steps to incomplete info - takes too long to get to the info, which is rarely complete anyway.
Can get authentication code
The local Vodafone office says my account has a months worth of data use available. Vodafone keeps sending me a message that I owe money. The Vodafone clerk advised me to call a help number and to ask for an English translation. The entire recorded message is in Italian. I downloaded the Vodafone app. It keeps asking me to enter a code that it is not sending. There is no customer service prompt on the app. Not helpful.

For over 5 years this app has been crap, but usually all Italians app are the same. Maybe it's time to see into the IT managers skills. It's a common factor, no Italian company can develop a stable app. Amazing.

I tried for months to entrr my app and the access has been denied for " wrong password ". Later I tried again and it started to quel again , but even do I have two vodafone sims and I can post onnit only one . Old fashion app and not usefull at all

I never can get through to support. Im constantly having to recharge or “top up” even though I have a plan that supports travel and for the love of all things, PLEASE add a feature to translate the app or change the language preferences

I’m studying abroad here for 4 months. I’m 2 months in, and have given up completely on this company. First of all, I can’t figure out how to get the app to translate into English, as I can’t speak or read Italian. This seems to be a major issue, as most of their consumer base is probably tourists or students who DONT SPEAK ITALIAN. Next, my service magically stopped working a few weeks ago. Not sure why. It says I have a negative balance, and I tried paying multiple times but I keep getting rejected. All I want is service. I don’t care how much I have to pay, because the alternative of using data roaming from the US is much more expensive. Perhaps there is something I’m missing, but I would never know because I can’t read the app :p. Tough...

I’m using Vodafone.it. It is the worst experience I’ve ever had using a cell service. I can’t make a payment using the app no matter which credit card and there’s no customer service to help. I went to vidafone Paso Mirabella. The representative refused to help. I asked five different ways. He kept a blank stare as if he had no idea even though I showed him the problem on my iphone app. He finally did add 10 euros to cover an 7.99 euro deficit. I paid cash. I made one call and I was suddenly in debt by .99 euros and the phone was deactivated. Not only could I not find on line help I couldn’t find anywhere to make a complaint about the experience. I finally wrote vodafone j ternationsl. No respinse. To makematters worse the app indicates the i have successfully created an automatic repayment snd iv received emails confirming that. However not only does my account not update the number is not recognized when i try to log in using access by tel number. Its a total mess. The licsl vodafone rep refuses to help. Theres no online help. Theres no access to a complaint format. Vidafone has taken my money for two minths in italy and ive received in return a handful of calls. I dont use the data bc i have zn internationsl plan with tmobile. I really couldnt design a worse service.
Terrible app, terrible company
As others have stated, that app is just awful. There is no option to switch language, and I constantly get errors asking me to try connecting again later. I was sold a 50gb plan (with the promise that it could be used anywhere in the EU), but after a few days outside Italy they told me that they would start charging me literally .37 euro per MEGA byte (of which there are 1024 in a gigabyte…so literally hundreds of dollars for a single gigabyte). Absolutely infuriating.
The worst phone carrier customer service!!!
Just stay away from this Italian Vodafone! I regret big time because I’m deaf and an English speaking, they won’t help me at all. I need an internet data access but they cut me off abruptly after I paid other 5 euros to continue the internet data access.. 😡

Trying to deactivate the happy Friday ( that I never activated!) and I cannot find instruction or the option how to do it!
The WORST, MOST USELESS APP
If you are a tourist going to Italy, do not get a Vodafone SIM card plan. Run, do not walk, to another provider. Despite selling you a “special promotion tourist package,“ there is absolutely no information except in Italian. Also despite paying exorbitant fees for ostensibly wide coverage and unlimited data for tourists, Vodafone will almost immediately start texting you in Italian every day, and within one or two days you will get texts telling you that you owe them money - about €0.41 - despite having a plan that you just paid €60 for! It is impossible to get a hold of these guys, it is impossible to use this app. You can’t call them because you just get a recorded message, and fundamentally unless you are fluent in Italian, and have lots of time, you’ll be out of luck. If you don’t pay this your services cut off.
Furthermore, activation of your SIM card can take, unbelievably, up to three days for Vodafone to activate it in Italy!!
So, the reason all of this comes under the review of the app, is because as a customer, it is impossible to use this app, and that is a fair review. There are no language options as others have pointed out to also give it a one star review. For an international company that sells plans all across Europe, you should be able to just switch for any one of the major (and minor!) European languages. But you can’t. Vodaphone as a technology company stinks!
So, one star for this absolute piece of rubbish app.

Why is it only in Italian?
Vodafone is used throughout Europe, so it’s nonsensical for this app to only be in Italian only. As well, the Vodafone apps from the U.K. will not work with Italian Vodafone accounts. There should be a zero stars option.

There is absolutely no way to change the language of the app, leaving the app incredibly difficult and time consuming to use.

I could not access any of the information without logging into an account I wasn't aware I was supposed to have! When I try to register I complete all the required fill-ins and it brings me to an error screen. I'm in desperate need of refilling my GB for extra data usage and it doesn't work. Needs to be fixed!

Even registration does not work
Fails with error code after entering the code. When requesting a new code, another error message occurs. Prints a long error code number without any information, what to do with this number. Why print this useless information then? Did this app went through a qa at all?

Poor authentication and very poor privacy and TOS
I tried to set up the mobile app account by using the existing VF accounts I have on the web interface ( as suggested). User and password did no get through. Multiple times , even after reset. Account was blocked. Had to redo all process again. Still not working. Then tried to use the direct mobile authentication process (even though I have a fixed VF line the app requested I switch off th WiFi connection). Which I did. But it did not work either. I also checked on the Eula and consent permissions and did not like the approach which is to squeeze me in deep profiling pretending this is not happening. If you scroll down the privacy policy you even read that unless you expressely write that you don’t want your data to be used for profiling after you terminated the contract with VF, they will continue to use your data for commercial purposes. That means that even when you port your number into another operator , unless you have prohibited VF to continue use your number for telemarketing, they will continue. This is against consumer laws and GDPR.
