Useless
App is useless. Water sensors went offline. When I tried to add them back to the app, the app says my networks are unsecured, which they are not. Then when you click on the supposedly unsecured network, it says incorrect password!
Switching to Govee water sensors and all 9 of D-Link water sensors are going in the trash. Don't waste your money or time with this company and their substandard products and apps.

Forced updates
We don’t use the app much. Recently needed to use it, opened app, was forced to open the App Store to update it, opened it again, was promptly shown an add. Terrible experience. Won’t be buying anything else from them.
App doesn’t work
The app only works when my devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as my cameras. That is pretty useless in my opinion! I have tried it on three separate iPhones and one iPad. I get a ‘Connection timed out” message when I try to view the video. I can turn privacy mode on and off without a problem.
I have a guest Wi-Fi network in my house and it doesn’t work from there. It doesn’t work when connected to Wi-Fi anywhere else either. It works on practically every web browser though. I can see it from work, which is on a very secure network. So it’s not a firewall issue. I can even tether my phone to my iMac at home and see the video. So it’s not a network issue with my 5G connection. It is the app.

Not good
Doesn’t let me set up my camera
Camera link
CANT get camera on wifi following all instructions to a T
Deserves zero stars
Doesn’t work with a smart plug it’s supposed to! The smart plug is useless now because these idiots discontinued support for the DSP-W110! Why!?😡🤬🤬🤬
Just a toy
Will not record smoothly. Drops out important event events.
Getting worse every year.
Even this text to review the app is appearing white on white background. Do the devs even use this app?
no local recording option
Looks like they force you to pay for cloud despite buying a camera with local storage. Insane.
New device
You would aloud me to get on and see how my home is doing after I set it up.
用不到一年夜視模式就出現黑影
用不到一年夜視模式就出現黑影直接擋住三分之一的畫面,再過半年連正常模式也有,上官網填單客服不理不睬,建議可以退貨趕快拿去退,爛死
Waste of money

Crash on iPad Pro. Does not work with iOS 17.5.1
Often locks up and requires iPad be powered off and back on to get it working again.
What’s going on?
Don’t have a clue what is going on with the app, but now it won’t record any alerts on the cloud service I pay for. Live camera pulls up but nothing as far as on their end.
dlink
junk do not buy !!
Cameras great. App useless.
Too much delay and freezing up. For example, If my dogs are outside and barking I need to see if it’s a delivery driver or not at that moment. I returned the cameras and went back to Wyze.
Notifications don’t work = useless device
Purchased water detection unit. App doesn’t provide notifications on iPhone despite trying/checking everything. Newly purchased unit. New account. New setup. Double checked that settings are set correctly, tried restart, tried app uninstall and reinstall. When I open the app, I can see that the alarm is actively going off. Despite all of this, I have received ZERO notifications from the app. Useless app = useless device = waste of money.
Not able to get notifications
Always had before
No notifications
What’s the point of the water detectors if they don’t sent push notifications. Garbage
Lazy code
Dlink replied to my review in an email and asked that I provide details in a web link they sent. This is how lazy the company is. I provided a lot of details and they can’t be bothered to send them to the appropriate people. There’s always an excuse. And I bet no matter what I said they would ask for more details until I got frustrated with how they were wasting my time and give up. They just don’t care to be more thorough.
This app is like a dinosaur. 1) If the camera goes out, we get a notice. BUT if the internet goes out, we get nothing. Don’t the camera AND the app ping the internet constantly? So if that ping isn’t returned, the app should tell us. Because someone cuts the power, we should know.
2) They don’t have a master switch to turn the cameras all on or off at the same time. We have to do it individually which can take time since their functioning is slow.
3) downloading any videos has to be done one at a time instead of being able to select a “download all” option they never put in. In fact they have a “select” option but the only function after you select is to delete the selected.
It’s obvious the people who coded this app never actually used it.
4) if you record the videos on a chip, they don’t hold and the audio doesn’t work. If you pay for cloud recording, then everything is fine. It’s such a scam.
5) if you press the download button for videos, the app doesn’t tell you where it’s downloading and you can’t adjust it. I downloaded 1 video and 10 minutes later it appeared in my photos app.
6) some of the videos overlap. In other words instead of each one being completely different, there will be up to half the same video from the same camera. So watching them is a pain and significantly increases your data and time to watch.

Duked by this company
I purchased their water detection system it works well one sensor unit has a problem the battery”s go dead in two weeks I tried to replace that sensor but their not available anywhere including the company itself so anyone that purchased this system is left hold the.bag. I won’t do any business with them anymore. Buyers of another products of theirs beware,
Less functional
Had to upgrade to this app when adding newer cameras. Not as simple and functional as the older app. Some functions in cameras are not available at all now and there doesn’t seem to be any way to access these features I paid for. Not very useful and pushy on cloud sales and other things I’m not interested in. More than a retrograde than an upgrade. Mike C.
Seems to work but app/sensor buggy
Bought a 3 pack of water sensors (main, plus two clients). Worked great, showed up as online in Google Home and mydlink consistently.
Bought a 4th and then things get weird. This new sensor appeares as online for the first hour then has appeared as offline thereafter in mydlink app and Google home. For days now. And now all or most sensors appear as offline in GH most of the time. Sent back the new fourth sensor, get new one and the same pattern occurs.
I sent dlink email via their website, crickets. No response for three weeks now.
But all 4 sensors work to detect water, as I've tested all of them and they do notify, even the "offline" 4th sensor.

Could be perfect, but is far from it
The sensors and hardware seems to work well but the app just the boat. The entire point of this system is to find out when you have a leak, this depends on successful notification. The notification system in the app is extremely weak, it will simply use th iPhone notification system and give you a banner and the default notification beep. Things incredibly easy to miss and is too unobtrusive. It needs to allow custom notification sound, and response from the user to stop notifying. It needs to allow txt and email notifications. It had the capability to ‘call someone else’, a designated contact, which is some kind of rediculous and unnecessary convenience feature which must be manually triggered.
Ground zero is the owner needs to find out about the leak, so that well, text me. I can call other people myself.
PagerDuty’s app blares, allows picking sounds, and doesn’t shut up until I acknowledge, all out of the box. Common sense.
The moisture sensor itself has a loud alarm that never turns off - so the hardware engineers understand what’s needed, but the app is this shy timid design which doesn’t want you to actually find out about your leak.
I had a leak, and didn’t know, it was discovered by a neighbor. I opened the app and it found it showed a leak but I received no meaningful alert so my leak occurred for two days before being discovered.
