I can’t transfer money. And the phonesupport tells me to send an email with a screenshot and wait 7 weeks for an answer. Or fly back from vacation and go into one of their branches. This is crazy!
Horrible system
The system of the app is terrible.
First, the Santander banking app for the primary account it is only in Deutsch, not English or Spanish.
Second, the banking app need the Santender Sign app.For what reason two apps to make any transaction or view, that's is not more easy, after all the password and SMS confirmation, need more. That's unpractical.
Third. Okay, the SantanderSign app have the option to English. Now, what?. What can I do with that app? If I try open my online banking in my IPad or Laptop obviously I don't know what to do with the SantanderSign of my cellphone.
Fourth. The any app works for Ipad. So what I do when I am outside of Germany? Obviously I do not have SMS in America or China. So?

No push notifications for money into account
Users cannot setup push notifications that alert us when money comes into our Accounts through the app. You can only get notifications of money going out. I have to manually log in to see if any money/income/refund comes into my account. Also there are annoying SantanderSign approval requirements every time you make transfers even between your own accounts within the app. Which take you out of the app to the SantanderSign app and back again. The UX is so weird. And there’s no built in way to transfer Euro to USD or other currencies using Wise in the app. There is no English support on the app nor is there any English support through their customer service team - even though they have Santander/Openbanks in the US. This is all very inconvenient and takes up way too much of my time as a banking customer! It’s to the point where I am looking to transfer all of my money including my monthly income out of Santander and use their checking and savings accounts only as a “backup”/secondary option.
