Bloated Feature Creep App
Does a lot of stuff not very well. I get push notifications for messages, open the app, it doesn’t load. Try again, there are no new messages and the push notification is gone. Heavy fail.

Slow mode
Why is the app slow to open now ? I have been using this app for over a year now . But now are days it’s takes longer time to open and slow SMH
VPN Compatibility Broken
I've been a paying customer for 4 years without issues, but a recent update has completely broken VPN compatibility. When connected to reputable VPN services, the app disables ALL functionality: calling, texting, voicemail, and email. This was never a problem before.
The timing is suspicious. The company now offers its own VPN, and suddenly third-party VPNs that worked perfectly for years are being blocked? This feels intentional and anti-competitive.
I rely on privacy tools to protect my communications. Forcing users to choose between your app and their preferred VPN security is unacceptable. If this isn't resolved within the week, I'm cancelling my subscription and moving to a competitor that respects user privacy choices.
Fix your VPN compatibility or lose long-time customers.

Not private or functional
This isn’t ANYTHING like it’s advertised. I paid for the subscription and can’t even use the service. They will verify your identity and then charge your credit card a dollar. All just to tell you that they can’t authenticate your “funding source” so you can’t use their virtual cards. What a waste of my time and money with this ridiculous BS. Verifying my identity I wasn’t expecting either. So much for actual privacy. The app most definitely is collecting and selling our data because why else would downloading an app be necessary? You can’t just use it from the website. Complete fraudsters who are the exact opposite of what they claim. I’m so disgusted.
No support.
Support is totally MIA, even on paid accounts. Sad.
False geo blocking inside of the App
It was not possible to use the app because it wrongly blocks any use and sees everywhere another regions 👎👎👎
Especially if you travel it will be just waste of your time and money

You pay to be spammed
I subscribed for one year and started getting their marketing emails with no ability to respond or unsubscribe. No thanks.
Just doesnt work
Cant register account for no reason and I havent even secured the phone yet
Buggy mess
Not fit for professional use. Too many bugs to list and too many standard privacy features missing.
Meh

Stopped Loading
Since the last update four days ago, the app won’t load at all.
Trash
No support, will ban your account without explanation shortly after you subscribe for a year
VERY DISAPPOINTING
Not compatible with Linux even though the name is mysudo!!! My phone broke locking me out of all 9 of my accounts. Backup failed.
Waste of Money - Extremely Disappointed
I honestly do not understand how this app has the ratings it does. My experience has been nothing but frustrating, and at this point I feel like I completely wasted my money. The credit card feature simply does not work properly. Transactions fail or do not process correctly, and as a result I am losing money. For a paid service that promotes financial privacy tools, this is unacceptable. The app also does not work reliably on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I have gone through all the settings, permissions, updates, and troubleshooting steps, and nothing fixes the issues. For a premium subscription service, I expect basic functionality - and it just isn’t there.Customer support is basically nonexistent. I have not received meaningful help, and there appears to be no real effort to resolve problems. There is also no proper money-back support when the service fails to deliver. It feels like once they have your subscription payment, that’s it.For the price being charged by Anonyome Labs, Inc., this level of performance and support is unacceptable. I expected a reliable privacy service. Instead, I got bugs, failed payments, and no help.I want my money back. Until major improvements are made, I cannot recommend this service to anyone.
Complaint

HELP!!!!
Previous review:
It used to be good. Now it takes at least 5 or more minutes just for the app to open! to check for mail, texts or calls - if it doesn’t crash first, then you have to start waiting all over again for unless it crashes again. This drives me mad.
Once opened, it’s so very buggy, slow to operate like pre-Beta release.
It’s so frustrating to use that I’ve started gradually migrating over to another encrypted mail app that’s smoother to operate, doesn’t crash constantly, more professional (meaning it actually works). That’s a low bar that Sudo currently cannot reach. Complaints to their company go unanswered. Shame, as they were good in the beginning.
And, importantly, forget about trying to do a SEARCH for an email it will not work!!! 99% of time it will show nothing OR CRASH. It likes to crash a lot🥴
In summary it’s very slow, crashes often, can’t search email, etc.
For a paid app it’s (or even a free one) this is unacceptable.
The best 2 word to sum the app up are EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING 🫤😑

Not anonymous
This company will sell your information and give it out. Nothing here is anonymous.
Don’t waste your time
I had high expectations for this privacy app based on podcast Watchman Privacy recommendation. However the dealbreaker was not being able to use virtual credit cards feature. Disappointed to say the least. Cancelled my subscription within days. November 13th 2025 Update based on developer feedback: Virtual credit cards do not work and I am in the USA. Developer answer is factually incorrect.
Not Truly Private at All
I reset my first mysudo email account and got an error. Mysudo tells me I tripped a soft limit and demanded to know what I was using my account for. According to mysudo one is supposed to be able operate privatelty and reset as many accounts as one wishes. I think its a 50 per day limit or something crazy like that. This simply is not the case. I barely dipped a toe into this app and I already tripped a soft limit that demanded I explain my usage. Im not a fan of corporate oppression. Mysudo should first explain what I did wrong but they cant because then they would have to admit they collect and analyze all of the data you type into their browser. In other words their claim to anonymity is fraudulent.
Suspend
They suspend account with no reason, i lost my year subscription. They don’t pay back either.
Doesn’t work for texts
Don’t use if you need to get text messages
Cluttered and clunky
I installed MySudo and set it up per their directions to use on a modified android phone, signing up on apple first. At the end of the day it didn’t work properly, even though they say it should. They can brush it off because it’s not officially supported. Ended up going with a different service that integrated with my setup no problem with out any funny work arounds or a cluttered app
It’s all for show.

"Anonymity with Recourse":
This phrase reveals the fundamental contradiction - you can't have both anonymity and accountability to authorities. It's privacy theater with a built-in backdoor. - AI.
While it’s true that some unscrupulous characters use these services for their illicit activities, how can you both be accountable to law enforcement under “a proper lawful request” (whatever that means) while simultaneously telling people who simply do not want a marketing profile on them sold around to data brokers, “oh yeah, you’re not doing anything illegal? Perfect. As long as we don’t get a ‘proper lawful request’ your information is totally safe with us. Trust us bro.”?
The truth of the matter is, that because some people chose to use their free will to commit crimes, law-abiding citizens are the ones that have to forfeit their privacy under the guise of “keeping everyone safe and protected”.

Subscription trap Unexpected $50 charge
I only looked into this after receiving a call showing “MySudo” on my caller ID. I never knowingly signed up for anything, yet later discovered a $50 charge on my bank statement. Be cautious - double-check your subscriptions and charges before downloading or using this app!
Worst app ever
Don’t pay if you’re buying for phone number I paid and haven’t gotten any number, tried everything still yet
No Google Use
Did not work for Google verification phone number. Rejected immediately.
Extremely Disappointed with mySudo Customer Support and App Features
I am deeply disappointed with mySudo, particularly after spending an entire week troubleshooting a problem that ultimately led nowhere. My frustration stems from the lack of support I received and the inability to add backup payment methods due to unclear decision-making processes.
The customer support team was ill-equipped to handle my concerns. Instead of providing helpful information, they often blamed financial institutions for issues that may not have even been their fault. This led to a frustrating experience where I felt like I wasn't getting the help I needed.
The app's inability to add backup payment methods is a significant drawback. It's alarming that despite being accepted before, these features are still not available after all this time. The lack of transparency from the development team regarding when and if this feature will be implemented makes it challenging for users like myself to trust the app and its future development.
It is unfortunate that mySudo has wasted a week of my valuable time. Instead of focusing on improving the overall user experience, they seem to be stuck in an endless cycle of blame and finger-pointing. I sincerely hope that mySudo takes the necessary steps to improve their customer support and app functionality, otherwise, it may be time to look for alternative solutions.
Overall, I strongly advise potential users to consider other options until mySudo addresses these critical issues and proves they can adequately support their user base.

I purchased and didn’t get a number…. Scammed App
I purchased and didn’t get a number… scammed App
Buyer beware
Downloaded this app paid $14.99 and didn’t even get to set up the profile before they locked the account - do not use . With Apple Pay you can’t get a refund . Do not use
Crashes all the time. Customer service is horrible.
I have tried for a year to get it to work and it’s turned into a constant problem. Dropped calls, can’t send out emails with attachments, can’t use a web browser to use emails. Customer service only sends you FAQ that don’t solve any problems.
Not reliable abroad
I was drawn to the privacy focus of MySudo and decided to use it abroad with some friends traveling with me. Some in the group had iPhones, others had Android. We used eSIM-equipped phones and often had problems with MySudo messages being delayed by minutes or even hours. The Android users did have WhatsApp in common and of course the iPhone users had iMessage. WhatsApp and iMessage were MUCH more reliable with messages arriving near immediately. When sharing photos from my phone’s photo album to MySudo messages, I would get a “failed to create” alert, which was very annoying. In addition, MySudo’s UI isn’t very appealing or intuitive. I want to love MySudo for its stance on privacy, but it’s such a chore to use. With seemingly better private messaging apps, I don’t have much reason to stay.
Core features require analytics to function; Data loss bugs
As a paid subscriber, I recently encountered two significant technical issues with MySudo. First, a bug in the app corrupted my local data, resulting in the permanent loss of my group chat history. Second, the iOS group messaging feature is currently tied to the app's analytics service. If a user opts out of "Anonymous Analytics" in their privacy settings, group messaging ceases to function. Support's current workaround is to ask users to re-enable analytics to restore messaging capabilities. Tying core communication features to telemetry data collection contradicts the purpose of a privacy-focused application. I have to cancel my subscription given these technical flaws of the app.

Features Downgraded
Sudo introduced group messaging, which was amazing to finally be able to communicate with all my siblings. They since updated the app and rolled back the group messaging feature. They’ll only allow group messages between other paid Sudo subscribers. Seems like a dirty money grab. I’m losing faith that the unlimited cost for this app is truly worth the money.
Has promise, but…
Had high hopes for this app, but it falls well short. Touted as an “all in one privacy solution”, it’s really just a loose collection of half-baked apps, none of which seem ready for prime time.
Most notably, the phone app REFUSES to signal incoming call notifications on an Apple watch when the phone is in silent mode - even though it HAPPILY shows “missed call” and “voicemail” notifications on the watch - which you will see a lot of, because you’ll never know you have a call coming in on the MySudo app.
Devs: nobody cares about email or virtual credit cards - there are lots of FAR BETTER solutions for everything else MySudo tries to do - focus on the core functionality and FIX the phone stuff!

Calls don’t go through and constant spam calls
Calls don’t go through, only receive voicemails, tested with my other line. Getting a dozen spam voicemails a day and still need to pay extra if I want to delete the current constantly spammed number and get a new one to “reset” my number count.
Virtual card not working
The only reason I got the app was for the virtual cards which are behind a paywall. After paying the corporate overlords their tithing, I still can’t use the only feature I want. Will not link my card. Keeps telling me to check the card details but they are correct. Refund.
Someone is calling from the # I bought
How does this happen??
App not working
For whatever reason I'm unable to log into the app. It keeps showing a network error even though my data internet is working. I tried emailing mysudo and received no response. Please help
